Teva Hurricanes Anyone?

I am thinking about buying a pair of the Teva Hurricanes and was wondering if anyone else has a pair. They look like they would be perfect for Kali River Rapids as well as those frequent rain showers Florida is so famous for.

Are they comfortable enough to wear all day long in the parks? They seem to have great arch support but I'm not so sure about that strap that goes across the front part of your foot. I would like to avoid getting blisters or having to wear sneakers.

I bought a pair of Teva Hurricane sandals back in 1997 for my first travel agent Disney Fam trip. I've used the same pair ever since!
They have many miles on them from over 20 Disney trips since then.
They are very comfortable to wear all day. I have never had a problem with blisters. Only thing is you get some pretty funky tan lines!
They are the only footwear(other than flip-flops at the pool)that I bring with me to WDW.
They will be joining me on my next trip in 2 weeks. And yes they are great for the wet rides.
Can't tell you how many people I've seen buying new socks after they get off Kali River Rapids

That's good enough for me. That's some impressive mileage that you've gotten out of them! I think I'll give them a try. Will wear them some at home first to "break them in".

After I posted and realized that my Tevas will be almost 7 years old, I decided to take my daughter's pair as a back-up! Mine are still in great shape but I can't imagine a strap breaking and being without them for the duration of the trip or worse, having to go off-site and try to find a new pair
Yes, I would definitely break them in before the trip. You may get some chaffing if your feet are not used to the placement of the straps and it's a good idea to find where the straps are comfortable for you..don't want them too tight.
