Sean Connery was born on Aug. 25th, 1930 in Edinburgh, Scotland. A former runner up in the Mr. Universe contest and member of the Scottish navy, Conner never had great plans for acting until he was cast as James Bond in the movie Dr. No. He then starred in a string of bond films but grew tired of the caging nature of the role and eventually branched out to do movies such as Zardoz, Murder on the Orient Express, and The Man Who Would Be King. Though growing older, Connery never lost his appeal and was adored in the movies The Untouchables, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Hunt for Red October, Rising Sun, and The Rock.
