In our Geography classes, we didn't learn anything about which countries are where, what the world capitals are, etc. But, I love the scientific part of Geography, finding out why earthquakes happens, how powerful an F3 tornado is, etc.

Yeah, that's not my thing.
I'm really not into the scientific part of it. I'm not into science at ALL.
I like to stick to things like English and world issue kind of things.

Science really interests me. I'm taking Physics and Geography for A Levels, and maybe Biology.

Science bores me.
And I took the 3 seperate sciences as a GCSE option.
15 hours a fortnight of it.
-_-

If you hate it, why take all 3? I like it, yet only took 1.

My parents forced me to.
I was just gonna do the double award one but nooo that is not good enough.
Ah well I don't really struggle in it, my friend hates me because she puts in a lot of effort and still gets less than me.

They shouldn't decide what you should take, it's your decision.

/
I choose my other ones.
It was more forceful persuasion than making the decision

My parents have no say in what courses I take.

I'm taking biology for my science. I only need one to graduate.

What did they say then? "You have to take Physics, or we'll disown you" or something? Or am I taking this out of context?

I have to have four science classes to graduate. I took two last year, and I have one this year. I should only have to take one more. :)

I find it strange how y'all need so many.
I would need more for university if I did a science related degree, but I'm not.
So yeah.

On Malcolm in the Middle, they're going to see Mama Mia the Musical xD

I'd shoot myself if I had to do 4 sciences.
I hate all of them pretty much..
Biology is just the easiest and possibly the least boring.

Cool.

Your school system confuses me... everything is compusive for us until year 10, where we can choose to do some lessons, but other lessons like English and Maths are still compulsive.

English and Math are basically compulsary till graduation here.
Then we have requirements to graduate but you can pretty much take them when you want.

In year 9, I had to take (if I remember them all)

English
Maths
PE
Music
Technology (Food, Textiles and Wood)
French
German
Latin
Biology
Physics
Chemistry
Geography
History
Religion
IT
Citizenship
