Test Track Refurb (Rumor)

What's with Disney and changing things all of a sudden? It's also not even like they're fixing rides that nobody likes. They take out AI...a ride TONS of people loved, to put in a GOD awful Stitch Ride. They mess up Mexico. Seriously. Are they trying to go Universal and change everything? Only problem is Universal is changing rides that were WAY outdated and quite frankly some that just hurt to ride. They're also changing/changed them to things that will catch on quick, like the new Simpsons ride.

I say keep Test Track the way it is. If you want to sort of refurb it fine. I'm all for an upgrade. Just keep it generally the same. Re-do the tomorrowland speedway. A Cars ride fits better in Magic Kingdom anyway.

I think that he means Alien Encounter even though it would be AE. Probably just a typo.

If they're going to change anything into a cars theme it should be that god-awful indy speedway in MK!!!!

but i just re-read the original post and it says they are just TESTING the cars ride on the TT track, they are going to actually be BUILDING it in California Adventure. Which is a much better idea I believe.

at last, another person who noticed

it says that they are adding a Cars ride like TT to DCA and they are thinking of trying the prototype on TT before building Cars so they won't make any mistakes. Also mentions that they might upgrade the ride also so it (i assume) will run smoother and won't break down as much.

Hopefully that's all because i think it will take more then 2-3 months to change the ride into a Cars theme (it took about 4 months to change El Rio De Teimpo so it should take longer for TT)

You guys dont need 2 worry. Gm pumps billions of dollars into test track 2 get there name out there. If Disney even thinks of taking out the GM theming even the slightest bit they would be going against there deal with GM and GM will throw a legal fit.

we arent even allowed to touch the test cars. if something happens to them, GM comes in and fixes them. we just hit "go".
