hi all,
please post the age of the youngest person you have taken on to test track, and what did they think of it after it was over?

Our daughter was just 6 when we went. She was a little nervous because she is not a thrill ride person, but she absolutely LOVED it! To this day, she names that as her all time favorite ride at Disney. We rode it a couple times that trip because she liked it so much.

The youngest is 6. My daughter and I was scared at first because we have never done it and we've been to Disney many times. Well... she loves it! We went on that ride 3x in a row! I told her that I don't want a 4x! Then the following day, we went back to Epcot and guess what.. we had to ride it again but this time we only did it 2x in a row.

As soon as my daughter was tall enough she was on it, and it's one of her faves. She's short, and I can't remember if she was 5 or 6.

I took my daughter on it last year, two months after she turned 4, and she loved it... we had to go on it 2x in a row... it's still one of her favorite rides.. that and Splash Mountain.

thanks all for all your help,i been thinking about allowing our ds age 5 when were there to go on it.he has always wanted to go on it but then again he wants to go on rock and roller coaster in mgm and we won't allow him.the only part i think he will have a problem with is the surpise in the dark tunnel(did'nt want to ruin it for anyone else who has never been on it)and maybe the high speed turn at 65mph,but lately he love's rides that go fast but none that he has been on go above 30 never mind 65mph at a banked turn.maybe we will give it a try.thanks again for all of your help!

My DD loves the ride wver since she was 5! Now she's 8 and loved it! She was never scared, TT and SM are her favos! She's only scared of the ghost in HM and TT but not to the thrills!

Here is the proof!!

When we went last year our dds were 4 and 6. Both LOVED it and wanted to go on it again as soon as they got off. Hope you have a great trip!

we'll be going next week and i plan to take both my kids on it that are big enough, my ds is 5 and my dd is 3, she is very tall, loves thrill rides and we're going to give it a try! :)

Uh, my twin 5 y.o. sons hated it. It was too jerky and rough. Oddly enough, they LOVED big thunder mountain though!
Good Luck!
Have Fun!

My 3.5 daughter rode it twice in May. She loved it and it was one of her favorite rides.

It's my 4 year old's favorite ride. In fact, he'll tell you that repeatedly, even when you don't ask him. :rotfl:

my youngest was 4. He didn't like it, but then again he's not a thrill ride kid anyway. He was OK when the car was on the inside, he was OK when the car shot out the tracks. What he didn't like was the bank towards the end. He thought he was going to fall out of the car, and he didn't like the wind in his face either.

When we went in September '04 my daughter had just turned 4. She LOVED IT! We sat her in the middle of her mom and me in the front seat so she could see and still "feel safe." She laughed and screamed at the same time! And she insisted on repeating it several times. She said this ride was way better than Splash Mountain--we coaxed her onto that ride, she started crying midway, laughed all the way down the hill, and started crying again at the bottom. When we got off she said she'd NEVER do that ride again. So we were quite suprised when she wanted to go on Test Track. We explained to her in a lot of detail what it was like, the different "test" areas you go through, the sudden lights, how it seems like you're going to crash through a wall, then the speed (still nothing like riding with daddy), and that there are no big drops, and she was good to go! Everyone knows their own kid best--just assure them it's safe, controlled, and fun, and let them see that in you while you ride.

Could someone fill me in on what actually happens on this ride? I've never seen it and very curious.

TIA

You sit in a car (open top etc just looks like a car) and wear a seatbelt just like in your own car.

You ride around inside and its supposed to simulate what a car goes through in a test. So you stop at a heat test, cold test, there is a place where it simulates a braking situation with and without ABS brakes, there are some sharp corners and at one pt you think you will crash through a wall and then the car takes you outside and you zip around on a track at a fast speed and the ride is over.

I like thrill rides but I would think most adults would not find this ride terrible or anything unless driving like that would get your sick or if you had back problems or something because it is jerky with all the fast stops and quick turns. There are no drops and its not like a rollercoaster at all.

I hope this helps some.

Thank you

That does help. Now I'll just have to see if my dd6 would try it...

My DD was three the first time she rode Test track. And she absolutely loved it. She kept sayin "faster daddy, faster!" :cool1: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Our DD was 5 when she first rode - she loved it - TT is probably one of her top 3 attractions even now (she is 10). Friends of ours just got back from WDW in June - their daughter is 4 - TT was her favorite as well!

To give you an idea of the opposite end of the spectrum - my mother-in-law, who is afraid of all roller coasters and flume rides, went on TT several times her last trip to the World. It really is enjoyable for children of all ages. Give it a try! :sunny:
