Any thoughts on how to handle Test Track while Soarin is down? I'd like to ride it twice and while no one knows what it will be like, do you think the wait at RD will be horrible? We'd be entering Epcot from IG. I'd like to RD it and then FP it another time. Or do I just suck it up, FP it, and live with the fact that we'll only get to do it once this trip? Thoughts?

FP for the first ride, then use the single rider line after that. You don't really get the full car design experience with single-rider, but if you bypass the trimmed-down version, you can ride using your original design.

I guess the other thing I'm debating is whether I want to "waste" a FP for TT when it's the only ride we want to do at Epcot. Would rather RD it and then plan our FP's for another park. I realize this is a struggle for anyone visiting while Soarin is down.

We're in the same boat.... Pretty much only hitting Epcot this trip so my youngest can ride Test Track... He's never been tall enough before. Then we're hoppin to AK, where our FPs are. So we can't use a FP or single rider for Test Track. We're just gonna get there plenty early and hope for the best!

Here's what I know: I went last Aug/Sept during hurricane week when crowds were probably the lowest of the year. I used the IG (we were at Boardwalk) and by the time I got to Test Track the line was 30 minutes. I think it's safe to assume a 90 minute wait at park open while Soarin is down. A&E and 7DMT hit 60 minutes immediately at open and I expect Test Track to be worse. If you are at IG you will be behind the crowd at the main entrance just due to the distance of TT from the gateway.

I wish you luck.

There is a trick to solve this! At the end of the ride, where all the interactive games and such are, there are a couple design kiosks. You can go in through the gift shop, go to that kiosk, design your car, and then hit the single-rider line! My boys did this several times on the last trip and it was great. To them, designing the car is half the fun!

If you're going during a slower time and do epcot on a preferred day (per EasyWDW) and walk briskly at RD, you should be ok.

Are these kiosks the full design kiosks you get when you use the standby or FP lines? I know there are kiosks in the single-rider line, but they don't have all the features.
