Test Track and rain??

This is only my 2nd trip to WDW since TT opened. The 1st time, it was closed one day, because it was raining.

So, if I am in line when the afternoon thunderstorms hit-----how long after it stops raining does TT re-open?

A couple of years ago, a CM at TT told me they must wait 30 minutes after the last drop of rain. They will close it even in a very light rain.

it was actually closed 2 hrs the day we were there. Boy you should have seen the fast pass line. They held regular line up and let fast pass in first. DD & I were first in single rider line. They let us in after a minute or two. Ride broke down again for 10 minutes or so but we rode in less than 1/2 hr wait.

We were told my a CM that a storm threat needs to be at least 5 miles away for them to open. How knows how accurate this is, but it does make sense.

We were on a behind the scenes tour a few years ago that included TT. We were also told that TT is closed when lightening is within 5 miles.

I'm not sure about that.. When I rode Test Track, we felt rain while on the outside portion. It was a light drizzle. By the time we got to the end of the ride, they had stopped the queue, but the storm was definately in the areas when we got on.

I just heard 10 min for light rain, and 15-20 for harder rain.
