Once I get Julie to school, I may lay down for a bit.

I think SHE should call the Dr. today....

What a day it has been so far....typical monday for sure.

YES! I think ocm needs to call the dr. this afternoon if they don't call her. Atleast they can tell her if the test results are in.

tony--glad your guy won this weekend.

ed--is that all you have to say???? how was your weekend?

mic--i need to get on the ball too. My family was talking about the vacation yesterday and they all want to stay close to the water so we can boat and such....you know what that means?? It means Pam in a swimsuit Need to step it up a couple of notches.

mac--it is snowing there??? I think they are calling for snow on thursday here....i want it to get nice out so bad so the kids can go outside.

gant--how are your kids. hope they had a good easter.

ks--how was your easter? did your ds's like their easter baskets?

bob is probably about to sail off into the sun.

mac - free dining preview day to disney visa holders 8/26 - 9/22 (does that work with your start date?). DH can't get off work to switch out a week ; maybe next year...i'd dump our June trip in a NY minute.

That sucks about the dining plan. I am just missing it as well, but that is life. I do get to partake in the food and wine festival (not that I eat much or drink anything but water,)

I had no idea my health was up for debate. LOL! I will call tomorrow. I finish the last of the meds tomorrow, so then I can just call and say they didn't work. Plus, my DR was in flordia all last week, so that will give him time to get caught up before I go and bother him again.

Listen here little Miss Georgia....you are not bothering your doctor...you pay HIM to take care of you, he is not doing you a favor, he is paid for what he does. I do hope you are feeling better though and please don't sit around if you are not feeling well...

LOL! I always thank the Drs for seeing me. Especially if it is on such short notice. I know I pay him, but you always hear about the hypocondriacs that go to or call the Dr for every minor thing. I don't want to be one of those types.

That being said, I did call. There is more blood showing than there was last week and I started running a low grade fever. Seeing as I have been on Antibiotics for about 10 days, I decided to call.

They wanted to see me right away, but that was impossible since all the kids were home. I am going to go tomorrow around 10am. I'll have Sammie, but I'll just make a game of it with her. I just hope she doesn't freak out. She hates strangers..it's almost a phobia with her.

Anyway, the test results were inconclusive. Which means that either the lab or the nurses screwed up. Oh well, so they are going to have to do a few more tests tomorrow.

sweets, if you still have pain and passing blood, that means you still have an infection. it is possible the bacteria you have is resistant to the meds you are taking.

if they will do a culture for the infection, the lab will inform the doctor what antibiotics are best for your problem. until then, they are spinning their wheels.

when someone is on antibiotics, and not getting better, either A) meds not strong enough B) the infection is immune to the meds. thus the need for a culture.

blood work alone will not tell the doc which antibiotic to give you. sometimes it is a trial and error. since you have been ill over 2 weeks, tell them you want a culture done for the infection so your doc can start you on the meds that will make you better.

i had that problem once before. one month of different meds for an infection. i insisted on a culture be done so we could rule out the meds that would not work with the infection. once got that, piece of cake in getting results and improving.



tony, gas up the car, you need to do a road trip.....



did you know a prolonged infection can kill a person?
it can lodge in the heart if it gets bad. if you have an infection, don't mess around.

I'm glad you called the doctor, not so glad to hear you are still feeling ill I hope when you go in the morning, they can find something a little more specific on what is going on and get you on the right meds and you feel all better!! Sammie will do fine, she is a sweetie!

Morning all...Mac I have a bag packed and it is sitting by my door. All she has to do is say the word and I am on my way!! She does not feel well at all.
I have a sneaky feeling thst a hospital stay is in the very near future for our girl. AND I'LL BE IN CHARGE OF THE KIDS!!! WOOO HOOOO !! PARTY TIME!!

I am starting to feel the tug...that's why i have been writing off weekends I am just going to do it till ball starts then i am done at walmart...have to say i think i will kind of miss it though....i see all sorts of people i get to catch up with when i work there

KS, we have it a cold here, but no frost this morning. In fact, it is warmer than yesterday...in the 50's today... hope mom and son make out ok at dr. and dentist..loved Popeye as a kid, the old ones though, not the newer ones. Oh my gosh, no wire hangers...LOL
