morning all! I am SOOOO glad it is friday!!!

got big plans for the weekend:cool1: tomorrow I get my haircut, have to go to some class for sunday school teachers, and then in the evening we are taking noah and some of his friends to a hockey game for his birthday.

mic--sorry you can't sleep in...maybe next weekend!

mac--have fun at work...hope you don't get flooded away.

ks--glad i could help with your dinner plans tonight;) For us i think it is going to be something on the grill...now i just need to figure out what:)
I like McDreamy....but McSteamy is very good on the eyes too! I would take them both...who needs to choose?!?!?:confused3

bob--have a good time!!

gant--any quickies today??

ed--hope you get back to your office so you can play with us! I miss you!!:sad1:

ocm--how was teaching yesterday?

tony--how long are your friends in town for?

Need to go do some housework but I am sure I will need to take a break or 10:rolleyes: so i will be back!

Teaching was fun thanks. I really like Julie's class now that they got rid of a few challenging kids. Really, it was by accident, but it works. They asked me to teach the 4yo class today, but my mom was in town. I'm still not sure if I could teach 22 4yos. I can handle 17 3yos. I may be teaching next Thursday.

I won an auction for the kids birthday parties next year. I paid $225 for the My Gym party (it's normally 340) But I am going to have the girls share a party again this year. I won a $26 putt putt party for Nico. I have never been to this putt putt course, but he loves mini golf and it was too good of a deal to pass up. I can have 20 kids at the my gym one and 10 kids at the putt putt one. So I think that is a good deal.

(This is where you are suppose to tell me how wonderful a deal it was):lmao:

I'm waiting for my mom to get off the phone with all her family so I can get moving here. I am going to try to catch up on everyone's lives tonight. I really am sorry I haven't been around. I miss you guys.

sounds like your kids are going to have some fun birthday parties!:cool1:

Haven't decided what trent wants to do for his bday...he will probably take a few friends to a husker baseball game or something. we need to wait and see if he has baseball games by his bday. It stinks because around his bday we are always busy and it seems like he always gets the shaft.

Those bd parties sure sound :cool1: ; my kids were lucky to get McD's, Chuck E Cheese or the bowling alley lol.

I bought the flak jacket today, never in a billion years did I think I'd even be shopping for one of those.;) Not much to it, I'd prefer him covered in armour from head to toe (with a few guardian angels on each shoulder).

Mom's got a bug (flu?); she had a shot - mighty late in the year for it.

Spaghetti was excellent, keep those dinner menus coming, I've had brain freeze when it comes to ideas...just can't get fired up about cooking lately.

I have been in a rut too. I was going through a cooking magazine today and came across some french dip sandwiches that takes 10 minutes to make...those are going to be on my menu for monday night when i have to work!!:thumbsup2

I luv French dip sandwiches - rest of family won't eat them:confused3 . Usually wind up with roast beef lunch meat on a bun dipped in beef boullion (that's just sad lol).

Do you use "real" meat? Had a rec. for crockpot; never tried it; wasn't sure what i'd do with all the leftovers. Never did buy another crockpot (bad poochie dog broke the last one).

Since I've "retired" I've found myself cooking a main meal & an alternate item for the pickey eaters. Most days it's 2 different things; but then I make them eat left overs the next day - ha!

the one i have is as follows:

1 can of condensed french onion soup
1/2 lb. thinly sliced deli roast beef
1/3 cup water
4 slices provolone cheese
4 sandwich buns

In a microwave safe bowl, combine the soup, beef and water. Cover and microwave on hight for 3 minutes or until heated through.
Meanwhile, place a slice of chees on each bun bottom. Broil 4-6 in. from the heat for 1 min. or until melted. Using a slotted spoon, place beef on buns; replace tops. Serve with onion soup for dipping.

I think if you didn't want to dip it in the onion soup you could probably use beef consume' (sp) or even beef broth.

Sorry for not checking in, but when I tried to get on here last evening, I couldn't  Woke up with a headache, so here on Sat. morning at 5 a.m. I'm up.........waaaaaaaa:headache: Naps are acceptable on Saturdays though:goodvibes

KS, Rescue Me is on Tuesday's here at 10. It is about firefighters and Denis Leary is the main character. It is quite spicey and the use of bad language never seems to be an issue. It is on FX. They usually show the previous season before the new one starts up. I really think you would like it, as we seem to have similar tastes in viewing pleasures:goodvibes It is serio/comic, you never know if you will laugh or cry, but a good mix.

Pam, that recipe sounds good. Thanks for sharing

Have a good day everyone...

Dennis Leary - got a mouth like a good, irish catholic school product:rotfl:

that rec. sorta sounds like mine, only gussied up - may have to indulge soon.

youngest ds still @ friends house; sitting around waiting for chauffer duty:)

morning all!

must have been the day to wake up with a headache because I did too:sad2:

I went to my meeting this morning then off to the salon. I got a totally different hair style again. Every time I go there it seems I get my hair cut shorter and shorter:confused3 I do like the way she styled my hair...hope I can fix it the same way.

Waiting for my mom and dad to come and pick up aubrey. She is toing to stay at their house until tuesday evening since I am going to go on Noah's field trip with him on tuesday. She will miss a day of school but she is looking so forward to staying with her g'ma!:goodvibes

Need to go and clean out my car, and do a few more errands.

mic--take a nap today!

ks--hope your ds calls soon so you can be off duty.

have a good saturday everyone!

Hey all, just killing some time before going back to get the dog...this place was quite far, but geez, trying to find someone that is reputable and you feel comfortable with is hard...did Wal-Mart (thought of Pam as I was checking out), did Sam's, stopped at the jewelry store to drop my diamond earrings off to be fixed (they've been sitting around for over a month, kept forgetting to take them with me), went and tanned and then came home, with a thousand pounds of crap to put away......

I will be ready to nap here soon...I'm still running on high, but feel the wind slowly coming out of my sails...LOL

KS, I forgot to tell you I bet that is hard buying gear for the Officer J....but at least you know he is gonna be safe, cause you are seeing it with your own eyes.......I know you are proud, but scared too.

mic--glad you had a good shopping trip. I'm glad i could be thought about:goodvibes

I took a itty bitty nap today until my phone rang:mad: then i couldn't shut my eyes again:sad2: a little one is better than none i guess.

We are getting ready to go and pick trent and noah's friends up to take them to Lincoln to a hockey game. Hope we all have a good time:upsidedow

Have a good night everyone...if you guys decide to party don't forget to have one for me!;)

Morning all!!!

Mac--so sorry you are feeling bad...hope you feel better soon!!

We had a fun time last night. The boys were all great and seemed to have a blast. The kids that we took last night had never been to a hockey game before and they LOVED the fights. Trent and his friends team won... but they all had a good time anyway.

today dave and the boys are getting ready to go to a husker baseball game. I am staying here cause I have to work later.

Hope everyone has a good day today...enjoy it because Monday is around the corner.....again:sad2:

good sunday to all:) ; beautiful day in the 70's here.

got church under our belt & dropped youngest off to do community service @ bingo (does a body good imo).

Poor DH working, i'm slacking as usual; few hours to kill.

mac - good vibes your way!

mic - thanx, i'm trying to be very cool about the whole thing, waiting to turn grey overnight from worry.:sad2: Suppose i'll get used to it, eventually.

pam - where's the field trip? I was very involved in PTA/class parties/field trips...really miss it.

Was asked to coach in new youth tennis league next year, not sure how I feel about that idea.

Youngest DS is "sorta" on the HS tennis team; league rules prohibit an 8th grader from participating - so he's listed as a mgr. & gets to play his matches after the official games; if time allows. At least he's getting a feel for it. Has a game everyday next week - rather odd schedule.

feeling like i am among the living again.

went to church this morning.
have you all covered for the week.

catch you later, going to catch up on my emails.

miss a couple days reading them and end up with a zillion of them to read now.
