ed - you're going to my home . You going to try for flag family? we've never done it, always too worried about EMH somewhere lol. We'll be there in June then off to the "dark side" Royal Pacific.

Just bought our plane tix back on SW (since AT only has 1 direct flight crack of dawn)...I paid over $147 pp ...I've gotten RTs for less than that. My budget is shot . Hope there's a Ding or someone else has a sale before then & i'll cancel; use the credits later.

Pam - how very cool for you! Hope WM works for you. I was hired there couple years ago when a super center opened near us in what they termed an 'entry-level management position' . Duties mandated working as stock help, setting the new store up (including shelves, etc.) The punch line is they would only pay min. wage and wouldn't tell me what my "real" salary would be until the store opened I passed . Have heard that they do offer seasonal jobs (around Xmas, Easter, Back to School, even overnight stocking jobs etc.) Good luck!!!

TVT - I'm sure your game was off because you didn't have your own clubs

Bob - we're still in single digits, allegheny river is froze over (hope no numbskulls try to ice fish on it - seems it happens every few years).

mic - you have such a way with words, should write greeting cards! Always such a positive outlook, send some my way please. I'm a negative nelly anymore, shame on me.

ocm - all the laundry done yet? usually takes me weeks after a trip.

deena - wonder if you'd qualify for FL residence discounts lol...you do visit the world a bunch, lucky you.

mic - imo, it's a lost art! had to sit thru a dale carnegie presentation when i was much younger and stupider (imagine that ). Do recall something to the effect if you visualize it, write it down, say it out loud; it's the first step to achieving your goals.that's all i remember, that & they had very good danish pastries.

If the danish was good, it was well worth sitting through the course... I really find I have to put positive spins on things when my life goes haywire, or I would probably explode from stressing myself out...it kinda works for me most of the time....but believe me, I can still get knots in my stomach and have sleepless nights worrying about stuff.

Mac, see, like KS said, go to the movies and you miss out on all the announcements... Pam, hope it is a good fit for you and you enjoy your time with adults...hope they can work a schedule for you that let's you stay on if you like it during the kids baseball season...if not, at least you gave it a try and made a little extra $$.

I'm off to watch some TV...not sure, but I think Survivor starts up again tonight? I'm getting a little tired of it though, seems like one just ends and another one starts up....I'm into AI right now...ready for the Hollywood competition to start, enough with the dumb singers already...and geez, with Anna Nicole passing away, at least they are leaving that poor astro-nut woman alone for 5 minutes...good grief, they pound a story to death

Good Friday & morning to all!

a balmy 7 degrees here today , that's double what it's been (see i'm thminking positive).

i can't remember if WM gives their assoc. a discount, for some reason I'm thinking no (a few discounted shopping days?); but I'm ancient - my memory is failing. I investigated jcPenney. Now, they've got a nice discount. We even have one of the big call centers nearby. Only problem is they don't work around your schedule, they assign it and you have to trade off with others to suit your needs. They make you work late nights & holidays too. Think i need to go back to pushing fixer uppers.

Are we all going out w/our significant other to dinner this weekend or next for valentines day? Whichever weekend I can palm my youngest off for a sleepover works for me.

Q: They just finished an Applebees in the new mall by us, only ate there once years ago when we were in Columbus. Since it was after a long day of tailgating, I can't remember the menu. Thinking they're similar to a TGIFs or Chilis as to offerings & price? Kids are clamoring to go.
