He can come after me all he wants. To come after his kids like that made me madder than ever.
It was the sentance after that drove his point home to me. The sentence after he said he was ashamed of the children was, "I can't believe your not!"
I was so mad that I just told him not to be around any of us. Don't bother being apart of our lives. Which was not the most mature response, admittedly.
What I really should have said was, "The only thing I am ashamed of is that you are my kids father."
Anyway, the counseling session went ok. Honestly, after a comment like that, I think for me it's over. But, I need him to step up and be a father to my kids. I need him to work on his communication skills so he doesn't say things that cut so deep. What happens when he is having a conversation with the children and he comes out with a horrible statement like that?
