Saturday, Jan 20th
Samantha had not slept well at all the night before. I think I was up with her most of the night. So, when Nico woke up at 6:30am, Sammie was still sleeping. I got Nico the Beignets and a drink and sat with him at the table talking. Around 7am Julie and Samantha woke up.
Mmm, these are really good mom. But they are a little chewy. Nico was saying as he was eating a Beignet.
Yeah, I bet they are delicious hot. They almost taste like a funnel cake, I said, more to myself.
Can we get them hot? Nico asked.
Well, maybe tomorrow when we leave. Im not sure if we will be able to or not. It will depend what time dad wants to leave tomorrow. I explained.
I wish we could stay here another week. I wish we lived in Florida so that Disney was cheaper to go to.
He was dreaming.
Happy Birthday, Baby Lee said as he got up, hugged me and kissed my cheek. Did you guys tell mommy Happy Birthday? Lee asked the kids. They each came up hugging me and wishing me a Happy Birthday. My parents called about 8am to sing to me. My mom was asking what I had decided to do, but I explained that I had already cancelled dinner for that night. I was going to check out a few menus that day and decide where to go that night.
TVT called about 8:30am. Happy Birthday, he said on the phone.
Do we have to talk about this?
I asked, really I didnt want another birthday. I was happy staying at my previous age.
Oh yes, and we have to talk about it with everyone we see today. Tony was laughing.
No we really dont need to do that.
I said
You embarrassed me and made a fuss over me at my birthday. Im just giving it back to you. He teased.
He turns 50 this year everyone. The big 5 0!! I decided I was going to remember how much he embarrassed me today and make that 20 times more for him this coming November.
We finished getting ready and TVT met up with us in the lobby of the Swan. It was about 9am by the time we all met up.
You want to go look at the Menu for Gullivers right? He asked.
Yes, I was thinking of looking at that menu and Canada. I need to make a decision soon. I said realizing that I needed a reservation for 6 for that night.
We all went and looked at the Menu. What do you guys think? I asked Tony and Lee.
WE can do this, Lee said
Is there anything here you will eat? Tony asked.
Well, I wont eat anything on the buffet, but I can order the chicken quesadillas without the peppers. I said studying the menu.
I dont see the quesadillas. Tony said reading the menu over my shoulder.
It right there, on the Appetizer menu. I explained.
Lets just go ahead and book this so we have something, then we can go look at the other menus and decide Lee was saying.
While he went to go make the reservations at the concierge, Tony handed me my birthday present. It was Disney Dollars. He looked at me and said, I thought this might help for today. After having to convince me that it was a gift and I should just say thank you. I did. It was very nice and sweet of him to get me something on my birthday.
Lee had made the reservations and we were all set. Where to? Tony asked.
Well, Epcot makes the most sense, since I really want to eat at Beaches and Cream. MMMM..a No Way Jose..yum!
I was saying, dreaming of all that ice cream and chocolate and peanut butter.
We took the long way to Epcot to stop and look to find out when Beaches and Cream opened. 11am, which was perfect because at that point, everyone would be hungry. WE started walking towards Epcot when Nico started tearing up.
My legs really really hurt. Nico was whining.
Oh, youre fine. Lee was saying to Nico.
Wait a minute. Im sure his legs really do hurt. Mine are even a little sore. This is a lot of walking for a 6yo. You were saying earlier that your legs hurt too. If our legs hurt, Im sure he isnt kidding. I said defending my baby.
Im sure they do hurt, but he is just going to have to deal with it. Lee said
Look, we arent in a rush to get anywhere. There isnt a place we have to be at today, so when we get to the Epcot entrance lets sit on the benches for a while and let him rest. I said to Lee and Nico.
We sat at the benches and made sure everyone that had to go potty did, since the benches were right in front of the potty.
Hold on one minute Tvt said as he trotted off. I thought he was asking if they had any reservations left at Canada for dinner to night. But, no, no, no, lucky me, he had gotten me a birthday button to wear.
Are you seriously expecting me to wear this.
I asked
Not only that, but we are getting you one at every park we go to today.
He said triumphantly.
I pinned it to my jacket and rolled my eyes at him as he smiled, obviously very pleased with himself.
Nico was feeling a little better when Julie asked to go ride Pigment.
Julie wants to ride Pigment Julie announced. Momma the teacher, Julie wants to ride Pigment.
Sure honey, we can ride that. I said to her before turning to TVT. Sorry, I know you hate that ride, but my kids love it.
As we walked into Epcot, there was a woman handing out certificates. The certificates said that they were all Prince and Princesses for the day. I was just glad Julianna didnt use Princess Tyrone for the certificate. I was really proud of her listening to her spell her name for the woman. My baby is getting so big.
WE got to Figment and TVT looked at his watch. You know we have time to do this one ride and then we have to go back to Beaches and Cream, right?
That is fine. We can do this and head back. No big deal. I shrugged.
WE got off the ride and walked back to Beaches and Cream. WE got a table and placed our order. It her birthday TvT told the waitress.
No, its really not.
I said to the waitress waving my hand as if to say, Tvt was lying.
TVT was insistent that it was in fact my birthday and that we needed to have the entire restaurant sing to me. Now, I argued that we didnt in fact need anyone to sing to me and I thought I won as the waitress left to put in our order.
I shared a cheeseburger with Lee and Nico and Julie asked for chicken noodle soup. Samantha got a hot dog. I should have split the hamburger with you when you offered, mom. Nico was saying, I really dont like this soup at all. Julie took a bite of her soup and said the same thing. Neither kid liked it. Lee took Nicos soup and ate that and I ordered a hot dog for Julie.
Lee and TVT both gave Nico what was left of their hamburgers. Nico was being very whiny again. But, he got through it. It had been a long week for all of us and I think it was catching up to him. We finished our meal and the waitress asked if we wanted dessert. The guys passed, Julie and Samantha got chocolate chip cookies with the kids meals. Nico ordered a strawberry ice cream cone and I got my No Way Jose. MMMMM. You know, that Ice cream is the same price as the cheeseburger and fries. But, it was my birthday, so I ordered it.
The waitress brought out the desserts and she sat mine down in front of me. I know you really didnt want me to do this, but
OK EVERYBODY, it is this womans birthday today. She wont tell me her name because she didnt want me to sing happy birthday, What is your name? She turned to me. I am sure my face was bright red as I told her
If everyone could please help me sing Happy Birthday.. the whole restaurant joined in.
Thank you, Thank you, I said, turning to the restaurant quickly and then turning the other way as they all clapped.
Your face is just bright red TVT said laughing.
Im going to kill you for that, I said, turning to my ice cream and focusing on the chocolate and peanut butter mixing in my mouth blending together in one scrumptious bite after the next. YUMMY!
Momma the teacher, I have to go the bathroom. Julie has to go to the bathroom. Julianna was telling me.
Ok, here do you want some of this? I pushed the ice cream concoction towards Lee as I slid out of the booth to take Julie to the bathroom.
If Tony thought my face was red in the restaurant, he had no idea what red looked like on me. I took my lovely child into the bathroom. She sat on the potty and I stood outside the door holding it closed for her.
Im just going Pee pee and Poop, momma. Julie needs to do both. Oh, there goes the Pee pee. Now just the poop. She informed me and everyone in the bathroom.
Julie, Im glad you need to do both, but really honey the entire bathroom doesnt want to hear about it. I explained.
The other woman and girls in the bathroom started laughing.
Ok momma the teacher. Julianna said.
A few minutes later I heard, Oh Im not done yet, here comes another big poopy. Wow that was a big one. The first one was a little one, but this was a big one. She was saying
I am so sorry. I really am so sorry about the commentary I said to all the people in the bathroom with us as I was sitting there praying that my child would stop talking. Apparently, God said no to my prayer as Julie says, Oh, I tooted and pooped at the same time Mommy. Double Yuck. Oh no it splashed my BUTT. The poopy went into the toilet and splashed on my butt. She announced.
At this point, I was apologizing to every person that walked in and out of the bathroom as my face was redder than it had ever been in my entire life. Finally, God decided I had enough as Julie came out and flushed the toilet, with her pants and undies still at her ankles.
Did you wipe Julianna? I asked her. Opps, I forgot to wipe my butt. She announced.
Finally, she was done, with her pants up and her hands washed and I quickly rushed for the door. Vowing as I made a mad dash out of there that Lee was taking her to the bathroom from then on because I have never had to apologize to that many people in my life.
Oh you guys are NEVER going to believe what that child just did to me I said, telling them about Julie and the bathroom. They couldnt stop laughing at the comments.
Yep, from then on, she could go into the guys bathroom, clearly they wouldnt be as embarrassed as I was.
I started to sit and eat my ice cream, which at that point, there wasnt much left and what was left had melted. Nico asked if he could go to the game room next door. Tony took him there and soon everyone followed. I paid the bill and went to meet them over there.
Want to play me in Air Hockey, old man? I asked Tony.
Oh you are on. He said.
We played and I won!!
WHOO HOO!! I beat him at golf and air hockey. I rock.
I was watching the other kids playing on the different games. I promised Nico after I played with Tony, I would play him. It was a close game, but I think I won. I know I was letting him score and to be honest, I dont remember if I let him win or not.
Julie and Sammie were playing on the video games without money. I really appreicaite the time I have when that entertains them. Soon, they will be asking for money, so I am enjoying it while I can.
Lee and Nico started playing when I asked Tony if he wanted a rematch. He said no. Come on old Man I said, Afraid of being beat by a girl twice? I taunted him.
WE played and he SKUNKED me. 7-0.
I shouldnt have run my mouth, but that was ok. He needed to win big after losing to me at GOLF and the first game of air hockey. I think his ego needed that win.
