Morning friends...no shouting this morning, it is Saturday and some of you may be trying to sleep in.......sshhhhh

I'm going to get ready and head out for a little shopping excursion...I've been no place since way before Christmas except for groceries, so I plan to just mosey around and enjoy myself...I really would like a new purse, so we will see.......

mic--have fun shopping! I am going to trent basketball game and then I think I am going to head for Lincoln to take back some stuff from christmas and to pick up some stuff.

mr mac took off early this morning to go to bong and ski.
i'm at home trying to make my trip plans around hhn.

since i am making 2 trips to the motherland this year and the darkside,
i might do a week trip and then a 2 week trip at different times.

the way i have it lined up now for the fall trip would be end of sept thru oct 15. that way i will do 6 nights of hhn. going to book my disney stay and hrh stay probably this week for that long fall trip.

my other one will not be as long
after those 2 trips, i know i will be out of money....


its cold here, 14 degrees and 6 inches of snow on the ground. it is times like this that make me trip plan.

...i haven't been on skis in 30 years, hate the cold & falling even more.

even my kids have stopped, sort of glad...pretty pricey hobby

keisha, i have never skied and never plan on it.

you have to do that type of stuff outside and it is too cold for me.

did ice skating inside the skate park building but that is as far as it goes for winter sports for me.


i can remember once when i was 10 years old my mom called the school to have my brothers and i stay home. we had a snow fall and she thought we should spend the day outside making her snowmen and igloos in the front yard.
i hated the snow even as a kid.


i sat on the front stoop for 5 hours before she let me come back into the house.


none of my boys are snow bunnies either......

just got back from Lincoln...went to a few stores but save the wal-mart trip so I could do that here since ours just opened last night....the lincoln was PACKED!!! Not that the one here won't be but I just didn't feel like stopping there.

I am going to go out with a girlfriend of mine a little later....we are going to go have a drink!!

I'M HOME

Actually, been home for a bit, started to make homemade spaghetti sauce (to save myself the trouble tomorrow) and didn't have all the crap I need, so I had to yet again trek outside in the cold to the local grocery store...yuck...then the Mr. says bring home some beer, soooooo...I'm just now eating my salad and came to see what everyone is doing.

Oh, a bong....sounds interesting Not necessarily the one you use on snow though......

Ok, my FIND of the day...I've been wanting a leather jacket, too cheap to buy one at full price, every winter I search around looking for a sale, and today I FOUND it...I got a $300 leather jacket for $87...I thought that was a good deal. I found a purse I liked too........and of course Super Wal-Mart got some of my money....ran to Kohl's, found some earrings on sale and now I'm broke........but I look styling in my leather It's cute too, its a shorter jacket, kinda fitted, so its kinda spunky looking....anyhoot, I'm happy with it.

Also got my cell phone locked by accident and had to call tech support (where is Ed when we need him) to help me...I told the guy he was the smartest fella I'd run into all day....he said stop, you are making me blush....LOL....little did he know he was flirting with a grandma

Mac, have fun planning your trip. I think I have my other plans this year under control and will share with you guys. We are planning on going to AZ in early June...and my DIL and I are going to LA to a soap opera event!!! I've always wanted to do it....I'm gonna try and do it and I'm so excited!! It will be a private event with my favorite couple! I have a room reserved for us, ready to buy our tickets to the event....just need to plan air travel to AZ then to California!! DIL and I will have a blast and with more from my group going, it will be SO fun...I'm so hoping it all goes as planned

for late may, early june i just found out that the AAA discounted rooms at hrh and rph are already gone. the ap rate gone from one hotel and some left at rph though. rats........

i'm completely and totally addicted to hhn at universal.
have to do 6 nights of it this year.
made some tenative plans with a gal from dc to hit there in early october.
if she cancels out, i still go on my own then.

still doing motherland and darkside on the same trip in the fall.
i'm hoping better rates will be up for their hotels at that point.


i read on screamscape that late april or early may will be a release of info on free dining for the fall. this is for disney visa card holders.

crossing the fingers on that one.
but, rumors fly all the time so i'm not counting on it until it happens.

mac - that sux about the AAA rates...hope something comes thru. dh thought i was daft booking for June in early Dec. He re-respects "my authority" now that he found out the room now is $40 more a night and the dates were sold out anyway. Just luv it when i do something right, happens so infrequently lol. They did have week days still open though.

mic - talk about an adverture (s); sounds absolutely fantastic. Keep us up to date on the details! Are you a seasoned long-distance traveller? Got any hints to share? Dh still lobbying for DL/Vegas/Grand Canyon trip...skipped it this year (again) to go on cruise end of year; think i'm subconsciously delaying it due to claustraphobic issues i have, get antsy on way down to MCO.

lingering sore throat keeping me from joining my guy in a drink, even mouthwash is burning...eee. DS on another sleepover. Better to stay sober tonight anyway. Need to keep appt. with parish priest tomorrow evening in connection with DS confirmation details...yadda, yadda; probably would be worse if i have a hangover. Assume i'll get the same old lecture as to improving mass attendence...sigh.

Glad to hear the birthday went well, and that the birthday girl enjoyed her day! Cool beans, thanks for letting us know Tony that you guys had fun.

Mac, your trips will all fall into place, they always do I know you love the Halloween stuff, so plan away...

KS, yes, we are used to traveling cross country, well at least to Phoenix That is our plan, to go to see my son, and then my DIL and I will take off to LA for the weekend event. I'm so excited! I need to start looking for airfare...trouble is it has to be paid for...think if I flap my arms I'll make it?

Pam, have fun...I had a Smirnoff Twisted tonight, so I was with you in spirit if not in person
