Thats just sad of them to hold the kid back because they cant deal. My friend has a neighbor who never cuts her sons hair because the longer hair makes him look more babyish. The dang kid is 5 I think and he looks like a girl his hair is so long

I try really hard to not project my hangups on my kids. Connor is my baby and is almost 5 but it would be a huge diservice to him to treat him like he is still a baby.

I dont think I could deal with those kinds of parents Pam.

When do do a service with kids such as daycare you get to deal with all sorts of parents...I have learned LONG ago how to deal with certain type of parents....let me tell you I will be glad when I don't have to deal with them anymore!:)

bob--how was the meeting yesterday??

Interesting and informative, but it's going to result in a LOT more work for me in the next few months. Granted, it's work I knew I was going to be doing, so it's nothing surprising. Just more information to use for our project. :)

...back to work... :surfweb:

i may get in trouble here but gots to say it...

wth is up w/parents who don't potty train their kids pronto?

disposable diapers cost a ton, put the money in jr's college fund instead.

btw, back in the old days we didn't breast feed until the child went to kidnergarten & the kids were out of diapers before they turned 2, usually sooner:confused3

pam - what parent wouldn't be thrilled to have someone else get their kid "on the pot"??? in our neck of the woods, it's usually a milestone, etc. (my youngest's earliest memory is of going to the store & getting Toy Story on video as a reward. he told everyone in the whole store "i go poopie on the pot like a big boy" lol should've seen the look on some of the faces as they tried to hold back laughter..."how nice, etc.";) )

I know where you are coming from!!! I couldn't wait for the day that aubrey was trained so i didn't have to buy diapers again. It was the first time in like 9 years that i didn't have to buy diapers....i would just get one out of diapers and start all over again. It is sad that they hit another milestone but that was one I was glad to see my kids hit!!

Well, unless they come to me and say that they have really been working on it I am not even going to try...i'm NOT wasting my time!!! May sound kinda selfish on my part but I almost had him trained once and they screwed it up. I could go on and on about this because it makes me mad but i will leave it at that!

How was your mom's dr. appt?

tony--glad you stopped in and gave us an update!!:thumbsup2

bob--glad you got some new info.! They need to do something about that if work is getting in the way of play time!;)

KS, amen sista.........what you said:cool1:

We used to get that when I worked at TDS...parents would bring the little ones in and they would say "tell the lady why you are here"...and they would tell us they had gone on the potty and they were getting a treat! We loved hearing those success stories and always made a big deal out of it.

I know what you are saying Deena, they will always be our "babies", but geez Louise, ya gotta let them spread those wings and fly, and one good way of flying is diaperless!!:thumbsup2

Hey Tony, glad all is well in sunny Florida and you guys are having fun. It is cold here today...brrrrrrr...:cold:

Off to bed now...see you all in the morning!

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS, IT'S FRIDAY, NO USE LAYING IN BED, GET MOVING, IT IS THE WEEKEND

Calling for some snow here Sunday night, so everyone will be acting like a nut today out and about...gotta have toilet paper and bread/milk ya know:thumbsup2

Pam, those dancers mac sent out were pretty cool...did you end up with the last guy? No wonder you are wore out....:rotfl2:

Gotta move it myself here, time is slipping away....and I should heed my own shoutout up there, but I really would rather be in bed.......:surfweb:

Ed, you don't have an accent, don't listen to them....

Morning all!

Mic--you told me I could have 5 extra minutes today!!!! Oh well, guess I'm up now:)

The last guy...he's got some moves doesn't he?!?!:rotfl:

Hope you all have a good Friday!!!

Ladies (and gentlemen)...

start your engines...

Pam's in the lead spot in the DIS 6000:car: :yay:

Come back when you reach the winner's circle, we'll party:dance3: !

ed - Accent, what accent;) ; it's the rest of us that are off:tilt: when we travel people can always pick out my Pittsburgh accent (didn't know i had one lol)....worse yet, i've been tagged as hailing from Brooklyn! Must be my big hair tipping them off (hee-hee)

pam - forgot to mention yesterday...i would never have pegged Pee-Wee as a Nebraska native...that weird has to come from Brooklyn;)

thanx for asking about mom...we're trying to keep what short-term memory that's left intact, starting her on another Rx that supposedly works. I try to be patient, reminds me of how a 3 year old asks the same question repeatedly. I gave her a notebook & asked her to start writing the answers down to her questions. She has the same attention span as a 3 year old too. Told it's common, just scary for me, went thru a rapid decline w/MIL few years ago; not ready to travel that road again (think i'll hope for the high-road or a detour lol).

mic - have a good one, crossing the days off on the calendar yet till your trip.

bob - hope the sem. was a winner. Don't know how accts manage to keep up; makes my head hurt. I'm afraid to look @ the alternate min. tax worksheet this year. Maybe if i close my eyes it will go away.

mac - know you're working hard! looks like another storm's coming your way too...ughhh.

deena - decompressing from travel still...always takes me a few weeks to re-aclimate.

break time over: back to the salt mines of wpasdi...
