Deena, Bob, Ed and KS--when does your school start back up?

Today's Cam's first day back. I think he enjoyed his time off, but was ready to go back, since he got up right away this morning (waking up to his new alarm clock -- a Christmas present), got dressed and brushed his teeth without either of us having to get on his case about it.

Wow!!! I hope my kids are like that tomorrow! My kids both have alarm clocks and I still have to go down there and push them out of bed in the mornings!

Before the break, we noticed that Cam was waking up earlier and earlier, so we asked him why he was up so early. He told us he was worried he was going to oversleep (not possible, since we make sure of that), so he was waking up worrying about that. So we told him we'd get him an alarm clock. He was so excited and proud to be waking up with his own alarm that it got him moving pretty good this morning. Now, who knows how long this will last?

My sleep in time is over. Evan went back today and Matthew goes back tomorrow. Michael goes back to college around the 20th I think.

Good Morning everybody.

My oldest went back yesterday and slept most of the afternoon when he got home, its tough getting back in the swing lol.

Connor goes back today and his day at preschool goes from 3hrs to 4hrs now.

I did have an interview with Carrier ( who I work for now) in Memphis last week....

Memphis job....they said it's mine if I want it. Trouble is...the place is NOT what I expected. They are so far behind us it's pathetic....They want me to come take the reins and lead the department BUT may not be willing to offer more money salary wise OR the revenue to do what needs to be done there to make the operation as close to what I have in Florida as possible.

I'd be taking a huge step backward as far as job operations go...I was not impresses with the facilities at all.....And they have many more issues to deal with that I don't think they are really willing to address , and they seriously need to.

I met with my HR person here this morning, told he my feelings and gave her the $$$ that I want to make the move. She said she would get with the HR in Memphis and start negotiating...

Hi everyone -- I hope you don't mind a lurker popping in. I don't lurk often but TVT and Sweet asked me to stop by to read about their holiday so I did.

I agree -- that was not kind of Lee at all Sweet. But honestly that is the way it should be if you are truly going to be 'seperated'. I hope this means that he is going to start to drift away a little. It would have been nice if he would have at least picked up a few things from the kids to you.

I miss you guys -- when am I going to be able to hang out with you again?

Here it is afternoon already...morning flew by...well, not actually, but hey, its almost lunch...

WOW, that is sure a "Lee" story, cause no one else in this group would do such a thing....sorry you got "re-gifted"...geez, he could have at least waited for your birthday to re-gift Glad Tony took good care of you and the babies....and that you had Santa put some goodies under the tree. Inconsiderate is a word that comes to mind

Pam, sickness be GONE....hope that works I got up with the feelings of something getting ready to start up with my throat and nose, so I've been doctoring myself with doses of vitamins and stuff and drinking lots of green tea. I don't want to get sick, that is for sure...I hate this time of year. Everyone everywhere is sick too....blech

KS...Banger Sisters is cute, not academy award winning movie, but fun. Gals our age can relate..LOL

ocm - how bizarre, is it some off-beat Xmas tradtion? I've heard of re-gifting... BTW, santa didn't bring me my copy of The DaVinci Code. Hope to pick up a used one @ movie gallery; should be 1/2 price by now. Pretty cool present imo. Perhaps he put it in the wrong stocking, your's instead of his?

pam - my guy went back to school on Tuesday. He's been staying up to the wee hours & is having a bear of a time getting back on track. I've been swigging chloraseptic myself, youngest had a low-grade fever & puffy arm this am but, insisted on going to school (for basketball practice lol).

Q: Anyone know: had to take him to ped for sports physical (finally) yesterday. She said he needed tetnus (could of swore he get one every time he go to ER for a boo-boo but, dr said it wasn't in chart) & booster for Chicken Pox. When did they start giving a 2nd Chic pox shot? Know he had the 1st one.

Dr. said he needs to get a Hepatitus A shot, since we'll be going to mexico/belize???? and a menengitis shot too (know they need for college, seem to recall insurance didn't cover that one).

tvt - more responsib = more $ imo.

bob - you're babies are growing up! Every now & then the old SpongeBob one DS has goes off in the middle of the night...who' lives in a pineapple under the sea (i took the batteries out of it over Xmas break lol).

ed - red sky in morning, sailors take warning..red sky @ night, sailors delight...wonder what orange means?

mic - yep the movie was just ok, i like the name lol. BTW, what ever happened to co-worker with all the weird problems...did she ever come back?

It's fairly recent. My DS is also due for his 2nd shot, but we haven't taken him in for it yet.

My kids all got two chicken pox shots.

Keisha - I did finally bring it up to him on AIM just to see what he was thinking. He said he figured I would like it more than him, so I guess it wasn't a mistake. I told him next year maybe we can celebrate Christmas seperately with the kids.

Jody - I miss hanging with you too. I had such a great time in May with you and your mom. When are you planning on going again?

Mic - The day flew for me too. I had a list of 6 errands I needed to run that didn't get done because work got in the way. I hate that

Ed - I would love for preschool to be 4 hours!! right now, the girls go 3 1/2 and another half hour would give me a lot more time to get things done.

Deena - sorry you didn't get a chance to sleep in anymore. You wouldn't survive here..there is no sleeping in at all. I was so glad that school started. I'll be more excited on Friday when I get time to myself for 3 1/2 hours!!

Bob - that is awesome about the alarm clock. Nico didn't do very well getting up this morning, I should go find one for him. I wonder if they have a redskins alarm clock somewhere.

Pam - I hope everyone starts feeling better soon!!

Mac - did you have to work today?

TVT - I'm sure you will make the best decision for you and your family. The job shoudl pay more, I hope you are able to hear from them soon and get it all worked out.

Afternoon again...lunch is over and this is THE longest part of the day

KS, the gal who had all the problems was finally let go. There was no way she could come back and function. Rather sad situation, but hope she gets the help she needs.

The sun is shining, but it is chilly here today...off to read some of my soap boards for a bit...mail hasn't come yet, I need to walk down and get that, it will be a bear for sure, we have Sat. Mon. & Tuesday mail combined

I don't think I'll get to WDW at all this year. We will be in Miami in April prior to our cruises and I'll make it to Ft.Lauderdale for a night in Dec. prior to that cruise. Won't get to WDW again before early 2008.
