Mic shouted at us this morning..didn't she?

Afternoon everyone.

TVT should be home fairly soon, since when I called him he was doing 100mph!! He can't be yelling at me for speeding anymore.

Deena - I'm getting so excited about the trip!! WHOO HOOO!!

Mac - glad you were able to wake up

Mic - When it comes to work, "just say no" (can you tell I was a child of the 80's)

Keisha - I think I'll let Tony tell the story starting from shopping at Blockbuster. This is one where people would think "She must be exaggerating". I found out a lot of people thought that when I told them my DH was so addicted to the computer that he takes his laptop into the bathroom with him. He really does that. Truly.

Bob - hope you get unbusy soon.

Gant - Hope you had a great NYE

Pam - I'm glad to hear you got your computer back! What a great way to start the new year!!

No, not that I know of thus far. They usually call in the morning if they need someone. The kids go back to school tomorrow, so we will see.

I certainly missed popping on here during the day:sad1: but we got done what needed to be done...and most of the files are transferred, in boxes or file cabinets....it took us most of the day to do this. BUT it is done:cool1:

Tomorrow, back to normal, answering phones, playing on the computer:goodvibes

Welcome back Bob...did YOU hear my wake up shout? It was loud enough, mac must be hard of hearing or she really had the covers over her head:laughing:

KS, so what, a laptop is so 2000-ish...its a great lap accessory...;) So, how is the game going that you and mac are involved in?

Momma, you can tell us, we have to have someone to be put out with...LOL...so it might as well be Lee. Glad TVT had fun, hope he got home safely.

Pam, what's shakin' in old Nebrasky? I can hardly believe that from Halloween on, the end of 06 just flew by. It was here and gone in a nano second or so it seemed.

Ed, where you at my man? We miss you

Gant, how did NYE turn out for you? Did the kids stay up all night playing video games?

Jules needs to drop by and tell us about her internship.

Deena must be catching up on her sleep, she has been quiet too

Ok, need a little something else to eat and I'll drop by later

i went to bed going on 4 this morning.

i missed the wake up call.......

yes ju ju !!

she needs to "consult" with us on her internship plans.

maybe she will be there working when deena and sweets go this month to the motherland.

I'm home everyone....I'll get on tomorrow and catch up and tell the story fpr OCM....she's right....."you ain't gonna believe it"...LOL:lmao: (p.s. IT WASN'T ANYTHING I DID!!)

story time!

do we get cookies & milk too?

as for the contest, i'm spending my days getting stuck with pins...no, that's the voodoo doll I have, we elderly tend to get easily confused.;)
Such a fun bunch of gals & guys over there...makes we want to bust out in song.:dance3:

I would like to publicly apologize to TVT for Lee's thoughtlessness and send out a HUGE thanks to him for everything.

TVT came bearing gifts for everyone. I got a really nice Disney golf shirt and a nice Disney blanket. He gave Lee a nice ski jacket. Nico got Disney jr Scrabble, Julie got Disney DVD Bingo and Sammie got a Barney movie. It was very thoughtful of him to give us all something for christmas.

Not only did he bring us those, but he ended up fixing a lot of things in my house that he realized were broken the weekend I was gone. He fixed my shower head that leaked water onto the floor everytime I took a shower. He fixed all the drains that were clogged. He put in lightbulbs all over the house, including outside.

We went to church with Sammie on NYE and it was raining hard. When we got out, we ran back to the car and you guessed it..it wouldn't start AGAIN!!! So, TVT got right out of the car to fix it. Someone finally stopped to help jumpstart it, and he stood out there telling me and Sammie to wait in the car for him. Then we got back to the house and he even fixed my car so that it would start all the time.

To top it all off, he bought us all dinner not once but twice!! Once when we took him to Red Robin. He loved the food there and the kids liked the atmosphere. I wasn't going to eat at all, but he ordered for me then paid for everyone's food. Then, we found out he had never been to a Fuddruckers! So we took him there, and again, I insisted on not eating. He paid for everyone else's meal.

Now, for the apology. I am so sorry that Lee behaved so poorly. He never once thanked TVT for fixing anything in the house. He never once said thank you when Tony paid for a meal. When we were stuck at chruch, I called Lee and he told me to let Tony deal with it or call AAA. He was incredibly rude and I feel terrible for the way he acted. I can't be more sorry.

Mac always says that you can count the number of true friends on one hand and the people on this thread definately fall into that catagory. I am so lucky to have all of you to call friends.

Glad you and mac are having fun playing WAPI...whatever...LOL

TVT, I will sleep in a little later tomorrow, and lounge about in my jammies waiting for the "story".......aren't you glad when it's "not you nor anything you did"....:lmao:

We bought DS a mp3 player for Christmas that is small and the neatest looking little gadget, so Mom, who is forever trying to stay in this century and be kewl, ordered myself one! I got mine at a better price than I did his, so I didn't feel so guilty treating myself...LOL...anyhoot, I've been on a roll now downloading music so I can put the songs on my little player...I'm so excited, I love gadgets and such. This is a Sony and its pocket size, so much easier than dragging my cd player around...woohoo, I'm gonna be a jammin' grandmomma... I will dance :dance3: with KS Do you guys remember Whitesnake? I heard a classic rock one by them the other day that I had forgotten, Slow and Easy....yep, downloaded that one... Whitesnake was pretty hot in the day, ole David Coverdale, and Tawny on the hood of the car..........

Momma, I don't have my jammies on yet....and you tell the story....:goodvibes

Well, that is some story to tell, and I can't imagine anyone not saying just a good old plain and simple "thanks"...what the heck is the matter with him? That was very thoughtful of Tony to do all those things for you guys. But you know what, he did it because he wanted to and not for any thank you that might come along. Although it sure does a person's heart good to hear the word "thanks", those that do nice things don't expect or want it. Now with that said, just plain simple manners should rule and Lee should have thanked him. Sorry you are married to a numbskull. Tony did those things for you and the babies, so I'm sure you said thanks and that probably means more to him than anything Lee could ever say. Count your blessings for having good friends  and forget about the other ones lack of common sense.

P.S. I've never been to Fuddruckers either, although I've heard of them. None close around here.

Thanks for the kind words. I really was thankful and I think he realized that, but I wanted to recognize him publicly for everything.

That being said, stay in your jammies tomorrow..that wasn't even close to the story!!

That is wicked awesome about the MP3 player!! Very cool. I remember singing along to the radio with my Grandmother in the car. Those were some of my favorite memories with her. You are one of the coolest Grandmommas around.:thumbsup2

mic - we're the banger sisters, remember:rotfl2: rock on momma

speaking of ocm's, hang in there...it can only go uphill from here.

all those rumours i've heard about tvt are true:scared1: ...he's a true gent.

KS, I liked the Banger Sisters movie:goodvibes

Momma, I can stay in my jammies til about 7 a.m....so get the story moving...:rotfl: :rotfl:

Yeah, I'll be a rock n roll grandma even when I'm pushing the walker around:banana: loves me my rock n roll......some of the classic stuff, when I hear a certain song reminds of something that I was doing at the time the song was out...:rolleyes1 or reminds me of some place we were when we heard it..funny how music means something to our lives

You know, I never saw that movie the banger sisters. I should rent that, maybe I could even stay awake for it.:goodvibes

She's right B.......I don't need a thank you from Lee....Just being with you and the kids and sharing part of my Holidays with my Georgia family is all the thanks I need. And the things I fixed......no big deal.....I was obvious Lee wasn't going to do it.....so don't worry about it.....It was my pleasure. So thank you and the kids for the very memorable time....SEE YOU GUYS IN 9 DAYS.......

And now for the story.....But first....I'm back!! WAKE UP!!

I think I will call this story "Who put the TAC in TACKY"

So one day OCM and I are out shopping for stocking stuffers. We go to Block Buster and she wants to get a couple movies for Lee. He said more than once that he wants the movie "Click"...so she finds that one and grabs it. She calls him on the phone and asks what movies he has seen, what he would like and stuff like that. We decide to get The Davinci Code too. So we head back to her house with the movies and the other thing s we had bought that day. When we get in she hands Lee the 2 movies and says Merry Christmas !! She is thinking she would give them to him then so we could watch one of them that night for something to do. (since she wouldn't let me play drop kick Lee we needed something to do) anyway.....

A while later I come down to the family room and she is there. She walks up and I can tell she is not a happy camper and her feelings are hurt. She says...YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THIS....she then leads me over to the fireplace mantle where the stockings are hung. ( I had one too  )

There was something in hers that wasn't there a while ago.....she reaches in and pulls out a movie.....it was CLICK !! I said "What the heck (well...I didn't say heck but it has the same amount of letters and starts with an F) why didn't he say he had bought Click for you already?? She says....Oh you don't understand...THIS IS THE MOVIE I JUST GAVE HIM!!!! He is giving it BACK to me!!! My jaw hit the floor......What a rotten, lazy thing to do !!

I might add here that that was the ONLY thing in her stocking ......She and I spent at least 3 hours New Years Eve getting everyones stockings ready. Including Mr. Noclue's........I felt so bad for her.......I'm very glad I had things wrapped and under the tree for her too.....Anyway...as I said....who put TAC in TACKY??? Now we all know........LEE.....

See what ya did OCM....now my cover is blown!!;)

I was shocked, but the good thing about it was, at least it makes for a story to tell. And now, I can tell people and say, you have to jsut laugh about it now.

I'm working today. At this rate, the girls are going to be going to school for free this month. Works for me:thumbsup2
