mac :grouphug: is your son going back to Mexico? You have a lot of worries now with him and your parents...all get's overwhelming doesn't it? I feel your pain....come back and play with us, we will cheer you up for sure!! :cheer2:

Heck, I've been trying to get ready for Christmas from let's say...hmmmm....1999....I'm never ready and things don't get done...like I said, I still have stuff to do from at least 1999... :teeth:

I caught up with most of my work from yesterday that was leftover, and 1/2 the day is shot......woohawhooie....I am taking the next 2 Monday's off so as to not lose them...darn if I'll do that :thumbsup2 so for the rest of December I'm working 2 4-day weeks and a 3 day week.... We are busy, but it should slow down as the holiday gets closer.

mic, i will come back tomorrow.
i'm too overwhelmed and depressed to be on the dis

one crisis after another

((HUGS)) I hope you feel better Mac.

Deena - scooby was too long, or at least the intermission needed to be shorter. I really hope Connor feels better soon.

Mic - I know what you mean. I get done a little more every year than I do the year before. Next year, maybe I'll get lights put on outside the house, but this year, I was able to wrap my banister and mailbox. I did get my tree up and I have almost all my gifts done.

Keisha - I definately don't wrap as I go, but I do wrap a little when I get a chance at night. I'm starting to realize that I would rather see people than get a gift anyway. That being said, my list is still insane for people to buy for. This year I have 8 teachers to buy for and 4 administative staff of the schools. It adds up so fast.

Pam - that sucks about your laptop. I haven't even heard back from the people I sent mine to.

Gant - I always love your quickies.

TVT - sorry it was cold today.

Bob - It's nice to know a guy that can dress. I love a man with style.

It's St Nicholas day tomorrow. Im sure most of you don't celebrate, but I will try to take pictures. My kids are more than excited about it. They can't wait.

 busy afternoon for me, lunch @ Red Robin (I was buying gift cards, figured I'd better make sure the food was still good 1st, DH didn't mind tagging along).

BTW the tuxes @ JCPenny are cheesy, along w/the suits. Their quality has dropped since I bought DH his last sport coat 10 years ago. Will look after Xmas. mic, your DHs closet & my DHs sound remarkably the same. Although I do force him to wear Disney themed hawaiian shirts on vacation.

Think we're all in agreement, buying is better than wrapping. Watching a loved one unwrap a gift is even better IMO

deena - i had that happen a few times, dh didn't believe me, thought i was tripping I guess.;)

Spent the afternoon boning up on web design (my 1st attempt is sooo lame). Why, you ask? Someone dropped out & i'm a new member of the WPASDI Orlando team. Between mac & I this thread is well-represented (i hope lol).
Hope we have a good run.

Later gators.

evening all!

Okay so dave goes to pick up our laptop as they say it is done and is running fine. He gets home and plugs it in and guess what?!?!?! The frickin' thing will NOT turn on! So I called and they said..oh well you will have to bring it in again :badpc: I tell them that i live 50 miles away one way...do they feel my pain???? H@L L no!!!! I am soooo fed up it isn't even funny anymore!!!

On another note...mac i hope things get better for you!

I miss you all bunches!!!!

at this rate ed will be back from disney before i get back on the laptop!! :confused3

Have a good night everyone!!!!

pam that really sucks big time. you should throw a hissy fit at the place.
i will come help.

keisha is joining my team on the wpasdi contest.
yeaaa

i got some info this evening...my parents house was burgalized last night and place a mess.......back door broken down.

and the red cross is moving the shelter again for wednesday but they don't know where they can relocate all the people. its a mess.

i might just drive to them and have them sleep in my car. i'll drive them around and find us a motel even if it is 100 miles away.

its getting worse for them and i can't stay at home much longer.

i did get out of the house today and bought the secret santa items.
i think i should get it mailed out very early since i will have to leave town sooner than i expected.

oh yikes mac, your parents misfortune just keeps getting worse! I'm so sorry...hang in there and hope it all turns out ok. You have your plate full my friend..but we are here for you to vent or post away...hope that helps you a little :grouphug:

KS, yes, our hubbies have the same wardrobe it seems...although no hawaiian disney shirts :goodvibes but some shirts with Mickey on them and and of course the Red Sox....... :teeth:

I agree with you gals, giving is 10 times better than receiving, and I much prefer giving to receiving.......it brings me great joy to pick out something special and know I've made someone happy. I've also cut back tons on the giving though.....and that is more of what the holiday is all about also...see, you learn a little something with age ;) :goodvibes

Pam, that absolutely sucks about your computer...I would be fit to be tied about that........plus Dave drove 50 miles to pick it up :furious: Keep us posted..and we are here for you also to vent and purge :grouphug: Glad you dropped in even for a few minutes. I'm thinking you need to have Santa get you a new laptop!!

Momma, I managed to get my candles in the windows this past weekend and dh did put the wreaths, lights on my front porch railing. He did put my tree together yesterday...stuff is sitting around everyplace, so this weekend I need to make myself get busy. I need to have stuff ready to get mailed next week, so I need to really shake a leg this weekend. I'm starting to feel a little motivated knowing I have an extra day or 2 off from work to get my act together.

Well, it's past my bedtime, so I'm outta here.......everyone rest well, tomorrow is hump day..... and yes, Gant has the best quickies and bunn's of all of us.

Hope Ed and the family are having fun......... :thumbsup2

WAKE UP IT'S ST. NICHOLAS DAY!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
sweetlovin' It's St Nicholas day tomorrow. Im sure most of you don't celebrate said:
Well it is for those that celebrate it CORRECTLY.....Sweet told me about this and I got it wrong. Seems you leave your SHOES by the bed and St. Nicholas comes while you sleep and fills your shoes with goodies.....I knew you were supposed to leave some article of clothing, I just got confused as to what the article was. So I left my underwear. Well I checked this morning and there wasn't anything in them that wasn't already there when I put them there..... :sad2: Maybe I will try again tonight...... :rolleyes1

i always come home here for the turn of a big number.

trying to pack son up as we leave at 2:30-3:00 in the morning for the airport.

parents have power now as i type.
still trying to fnalize the police report for them.

mac - 23,000, amazing...don't think i can count that high.

mic - hope you enjoy your manicure, you work hard to deserve a little pampering. I've never had a manicure (i'm just cheap & have an adversion to strangers touching me)lol.

ocm - as always great pics of your cutie pies, sure hope the sandals on the left are yours;) Used to wear spikes all the time when I worked in the big city many moons ago. Now despite many cortisone shots & PT, podiatrist sez my feet are shot (due to the heels) & it's flats or surgery to me. I do have crocs in many diff. colors, just not as sexy. Every now & then I pull my pretties out for special ocassions:thumbsup2 gotta, live a little every now & again.

Off to pick up DS from CCD @ church, still don't know why they only have it for 90 min., later.

Hi all, made it back home a little earlier than expected, just grabbed a bite now must clean up dishes

Momma, what adorable photos! Oh, they all look so happy, glad St. Nick made their day...ahhh...they all are so cute and growing too...wow, I see big differences in them.

Mac, glad things are back "on" for your folks...that is great news. Sorry your son is leaving at such an ungodly hour...hope that all goes well for you. Check your pm's please :goodvibes

KS, I never should have started with the nail thing, it is very habit forming.
I find it hard to wear heals anymore myself. When you don't wear them regularly, it feels ackward walking in them. I went to look for some shoes for the Christmas party and could not believe how the loooooooonnng pointy toes are back in. Tried on a pair and my foot looked 7 ft. long :teeth: I did find a pair on sale that are average heel, and although slightly pointy, it is squared off some. Dropped a 1/2 size because of all that overhang on them :rotfl:

We had a great time in WDW, the weather was wonderful and the Christmas decorations looked great. I did feel a little detached staying at the AKL but the hotel was wonderful.

On the downer side you all know Connor cut his hand before we went to WDW and it took 5 stitches to close, well the night we are heading down he starts running a fever, I look at the cut, it looks OK(not infected), so we give him Tylenol and the fever comes and goes, so when we got to AKL I called a DR. to have him come take a look because I want to make sure there is no infection so $200 dollars later he tells me he has a cold, next day he is ready to roll.

Linda was supposed to get her Medication delivered before we left, nope they can't do it they need to get new clearance from the HMO, we ask if they can deliver it to AKL they said yes they are in Orlando it will be no problem, Friday comes still no Medication we call they are still waiting for the paperwork, so Monday we call the Dr's they say they mailed that out 2 weeks ago, it was home waiting for us, she missed 3 doses.

Garden Grocer was supposed to deliver our grocery on Thurs. it wasn't there Friday I get a phone message from them on my cell I cant hear its garbled, I get back to the hotel there is no listing for them in the yellow pages, by Saturday I don't want it. It was delivered on Mon. I never got it from Bell Services because I am not paying for food I didn't get a chance to use.

On our flight home we got off the plane and Linda's wheelchair is missing, it never came off the plane, because we took so long our car service left, I didn't have my cell phone on I was to busy chasing down the wheelchair, so they had to dispatch him back out, we still don't have the wheelchair.

When we got to my MIL where we left our car, the battery was dead so AAA had to come and jump the car.
We are back and the house is still standing and we had a fun, but next time we need to stay longer.

I'll post up some pictures later.

welcome back home ed.

we really missed you.

wow, that was an adventure. did linda's wheelchair get returned yet?

catch you all in the morning. .........later.

and happy nekkid day all
