he could not avoid it, it was like a freak thing...so when he calls, he is about 7 miles from me, so I say I'm on my way....I pull up and see the car...........
it looks like someone hit him head on, the front is mangled, the windshield is all broke and it blew the back window OUT....air bags opened.......OH MY, I went running to him and just hugged him so hard....nothing wrong with him thank the lord, it did knock his glasses off, but not a scratch on him.......he is SO stinking lucky, it could have so many scenarios I can't even think about. So, we spent an hour and a half on the side of the road, doing the insurance ritual, then waiting for the tow truck. To me, it looks totaled......poor kid. He is starting his new job Monday, so things are looking up and them WHAM.....
I'm so thankful it was the car and not him that got messed up. But what a trauma.......I freaked at first, which I'm usually the voice of reason, but by the time I got there, and I saw him, I was fine. I hate freaking out....its so useless
but I then took control of my own senses and got it all straightened out. Now we wait for insurance issues, fun huh?

what a start you must have had, glad to hear your baby's ok! Sorry about the car, never know what's around the bend, seize the day! Don't envy the insurance ordeal, as if he'd need any additional stress besides dealing with that which comes from putting his best foot forward on a new job, good luck.
