no one came to clean my house today. looks like i will have to fire the maid.

mr mac has been off work since wed and doesn't go back until jan 2. he is driving me nuts........can't get anything done with him around. i start a job and he interupts and points out i missed a spot.


and i thought it was bad when all the sons were here. oy vey.....


i'm still tossing around the idea of when to do the motherland and darkside.
it has to coincide with hhn though. just found out that hhn may not happen on the first sunday of october, just open on the friday and saturday.

if that is the case, then i have to attend the second weekend but will be able to do thursday also. hell week and the one time i have always refused to attend. looks like i have to flip a coin on that one.

ocm, its no big deal on not going with the ladies group in november. i was skipped over most of the time on that trip so it wasn't as if i was with a group anyway then.
did one lunch with one of the gals and that was it. did 2 group dinnings with that group and one of them i left early and never heard from any of them after that. i post over on that thread occasionally but still get passed over so i limit my postings there just to answer questions i read and know the answer to. lots of the gals are fine people but when you are not included, you know when to back off. still like some of them, just need to go at a time to the motherland and darkside that is best for me.

today i washed the car to get away from mr mac. he watches me when i am on the computer and makes comments so i left. came back and he was taking a nap........lol i should have held out longer.

going to my Bible study tonight.

can't believe the year is coming to an end.
i have to start planning my garage sales or there won't be a fall trip in the cards for me. i think i can earn enough to handle things. going to look for a job full time after i take the kid back to college around mlk day.

KS, those pictures are GREAT! You have the most wonderful smile. Your family of men are all so handsome...dh looked quite dapper with the red tie...your dress/jacket was gorgeous. The bride was beautiful in her gown, and everyone looked so happy. Glad you posted those, just awesome...and NO you don't look like a giant puff ball You should be so proud of those boys!! Next will come grandbabies

Deena, it is harder when the boys get older to get gifts they want, and not only finding them, but they cost more Glad the DVD's worked out well. You will get your trip planned out too for next year that will suit everyone.

Pam, momma didn't show up here either to help me clean...some friend SHE is...humpf...guess we'll just have to figure her as a lost cause

Not sure if Bob said after Christmas or New Years...he and the family are always so busy, it may be after NY's

Oh, no doubt my dh would be proud of me after spending an evening out with you...LOL....on man, it would be SO fun...give me a couple beers and I can't shut up....I'm a yakker when I get a little buzz on......well, I'm a yakker when I don't too.....

Mac, how is your game going? I don't follow all those threads about it, too time consuming for me and I'm lost about it anyway...hope if you are aiming to win something, it happens for you. Oh my, the husbands are awful when they are under foot...I always ask "don't you have to go someplace"...LOL...when I need some space, or come upstairs, he knows to leave me be when I'm on the computer.

Off to finish my dinner...I hate dh not getting home til close to 7 p.m....so late for dinner plus we eat in 3 shifts now

not much going on here tonight. dave took noah to his basketball practice...we got his schedule today between him and trent we are going to be at basketball games sat. and sun. of every weekend. Oh well...i'm sure it will fly by then maybe spring will be here and it will be nice out again....and baseball season!

I am finally here to play for a little while and where is everyone at???? I suppose Ed invited everyone to Olive Garden but me Yep, i must be the new chopped liver

I went and got Grandpapa Tony at the airport last night. He arrived in one peice and his interveiw went well. From what I understand, the job in Memphis is his if he wants it. It will be up to the negotitations of salary if he decides to take it.

uggh...i am so glad it is friday! It seems that this week has taken 2 years! We were going to go out tonight with some friends but aubrey has come down with an awful cough, headache, low grade fever, and a sore throat. So I told dave that he can go ahead and go and I will stay with the kids. If she doesn't feel better in the morning she is going to the dr. Strep is going around here i guess.

Anyone else have weekend plans?

sorry to hear aubrey's got a bug, my youngest ds slept 17 hours yesterday; looks like he was on a bender. Took him back to orthodontist today for more bands on braces. He missed basketball practice today (coach requires an excuse lol)...takes his stuff seriously. Unfortunately, they've only won 1 game so far this season (white men can't jump).

mac - (after my family) my current existence is geared to planning trips to Orlando...what have I become

apparently, the tree grows a lot of more stuff on it when it all is coming down rather when it is going up.

for me, nye will be the bears vs packer game.
switched from a noon game to an evening 7:15 cst game.


and then switch over to watch the big ball drop.

Everyone loved my fleecy top today Ed... the logo is nice and small, not overpowering on it, I really, really love it...it is fitted and it fits just right! I usually can't wear stuff like this, but you did good my friend!!

The newlyweds called & asked if we were doing anything New Years Eve...

we painted the town red in our youth but, tended to stay home & play poker with my kids (have to get back some of that Xmas bootie lol).

stopped when the older 2 hit late teenage years...how lame, they said.

officer jer already asked for a "party spread" when he gets off work @ 10 pm that night, now the oldest one is lobbying for a surf & turf dinner (think he just wants to make sure I cough up the $ for honeymoon..tee-hee)

Still, nice they choose to spend the night w/their old ma & pa.

Youngest usually has a few friends over too, the one's who parents still go forth & party...i'm a softie hate to think of them alone ringing in the new year.

You're all invited...let's party like it's 1999.

mic the smell of rum & coke makes me green (some things you never forget...kamikazies too...eww). Have been working on a bottle of banana rum that DH picked out in Nassau last year. The other night I threw together a pitcher full of goodness ...rum, lemon juice, pineapple juice, oj, 7 Up, maraschino cherries & pineapple slices. It was a good drunk, just what I needed after the wedding blues set in lol.

deena - i've been fortunate in not having to pay for babysitting very often, or we'd never had gone anywhere. We had thought of Aug next year but, thought free dining didn't start till near the end of the month/early Sept. Our kids start school the 3rd week of the month & the football coaches get quite p.o'd when they miss practice for vacation.

Hi Everyone

Wicked fast shout out. Everyone here has been having a good time. For the most part I have been out shopping for last minute gifts. Tony's been a trooper out shopping with me and we so far have been able to have indiviula time with each kid. Sammies turn is this morning. It's been nice spending time one on one with them, I rarely get that with Julie.

Ed - I fell asleep at the theater, but Nico I was told laughed his butt off and I think TVT did too.

Hi all, I've been doing a big FAT NOTHING all morning, its the first time since before Thanksgiving that there doesn't seem to be something that was CRUCIAL to get done..

KS, are those fruit flavored rums good? I've seen them in the store but not sure I wanted to spend the $$ to find I don't care for them. I like Captain Morgan's spiced or just plain Baccardi...you know, I can get a buzz on quicker drinking a couple beers than when I drink mixed drinks..or course rum is not the strongest stuff around, now I guess if I was doing shooters or kamikazes and the like I'd be on my **** in a few.. I'm not much on all that shooter stuff or vodka...just not my cup of alcohal

Ed, that fleece is the polar fleece, and it was very warm, but not heavy material, that is what I like...you rock my friend
