Evening all

Busy at work today for the most part and tried reading and posting, but kept getting interrupted

To answer a couple earlier questions.....KS, I haven't watched all of ER, I DVR'd it, so I'll let you know what I think after watching it...I like Neela though, no one better be messin' with her

Yes, my old fridge held on, but by a thread, the bottom was barely staying cool...I put what I could in a cooler before leaving for work, left a some odds and ends that could set out for bit for ds to take out when they delivered the new one. It was here by 10 a.m......gotta love Sears online set up for delivery...they give you the date as soon as you buy, they call the next night to tell you they will call you the night before delivery to give you a 2-hr. window.....they even called me at work this morning to tell me they were coming to the house in 20 minutes.....I just got done organizing and putting stuff where I wanted/like it. I'm funny about my fridge, for the most part, things that are in there all the time have their own "homeplace" to be...I like being able to just go to that place and get whatever it is. It seems quite nice...we will see..it is bigger than my old one and looked huge to me when I walked in tonight

I'm beat, so I'm gonna go watch some TV......cool, windy and rainy here most of the day.......very fall-ish.

KS, hope you pull a miracle and score big tonight!!

just sitting here watching the yankee game...they are losing right now so i am thinking of heading out to the gorcery store...maybe when i come back it will have changed

Actually, the ironic part about the whole trip was....I wasn't feeling well on the 2nd (my birthday). I actually had a pack of "captains crackers" and a Pepsi for dinner that day then went to sleep at 7:00 pm. My DW and kiddies called me up to sing "Happy Birthday" so that made my night. I didn't feel well Tuesday morning so I slept in. I went back out fishing Tuesday afternoon.

I thought I would have a cake when I returned but DW must have forgotten. I still love her anyway. I did have a couple of cards and my DD got me a "Stateliner" shirt from her school. This is probably the 1st time in 17 years I did not have a cake.

Anyway, I hope you all have a great weekend.

Mic - I'm sure you will get use to the new frige. It always seems weird to change the things in our house that we are use to. I know it took me a while to get use to the new oven when we got it last year.


Thanks for the birthdya wishes. Nico kept telling everyone that lots of mommies friends wished him happy birthday too. He was so excited. He had a great day and Lee's mom sent him a Santana Moss jersey. So now he has Moss and Marcus Washington Jerseys. He asked if he was going to get the entire team's.

I had a lot of fun teaching the 2 yr olds. They were really cute and a really pretty easy day. They asked if I was exhausted after and you know, I really wasn't. There was one child that was just all over the place, but the teacher said he was over 100% better from when he started. I couldn't even imagine.

Today I am running to walmart to get the cupcakes for the kids. Then off to get the goody bags all together. Then off to the soccer game after we will all go out to lunch. It should be a lot of fun.

mic - for me, the best part of getting a new fridge was that everything was sparkling clean. My old one was dingy, at best...jow old was it? it was on it's 2nd husband, ba-boom!

gant - that stinks, you must get 2 cakes next year!

ocm - kids & cupcakes, a great combo!

pam - I was a very good girl @ football game. Took lots of pics of my boys in action, will have post later if I have time.

Expect to spend the day packing!!! Have I mentioned I leave for home tomorrow? Family's getting nervous, keeps inquiring when the packing fairy's going to do her stuff...later!

Glad you asked

Guess we're using ME @ airport tomorrow (cannot justify over $200 for rental car) & we'll be @ BCV for the very 1st time, have always wanted swim @ SAB. We were lucky to be able to snag 5 nights there. DH is reluctant, his fav is WLV but we have a small add on @ BWV that I enjoy too, hope he likes it. Told him if the pool area gets too wild for him, he can take the boat over to ESPN & knock himself out lol.

We are picking up a rental @ the Dolphin & will be heading to the CR on Thursday & coming home on Sunday.

Family thinks we have a standard garden view room but, I splurged & booked a Tower MK view cannot believe I've kept it quiet for months. DS asked several years ago for a graduation trip to stay in same type room @ CR (seasoned little traveler he is-funny, I didn't know anything about travel arrangements when I was a kid) & DH & I are of the generation that the CR was just "it".

looking forward to our 1st MNSSHP, hope I don't look like a dork in my minnie coustume, & the preview of the Nemo ride @ living seas. My mom & middle DS tend to have @ least 1 or 2 major crisis while I'm gone (usually bumping heads) hope they wait till I leave for the fur to fly.

BTW, said DS got his pistol & other gear yesterday

his dad did come thru (surprise - surprise) and pony up the bucks. We don't have guns so I was shocked that it & accessories cost over $1K. Still need to a bullet proof vest thats nearly expensive, got a feeling that will fall in my lap. I'm glad his dad is keeping pistol locked up in his gun safe...they make me nervous, guess I'll get used to it.

Momma, so glad Nico is enjoying the birthday festivities....also good that your first day at school went so well...good for you!!

Gant, sorry you weren't feeling well, guess feeling bad doesn't ever consider if it is a holiday or our birthday but just think, you'll get to have another one next year, same date!! Maybe your son the budding chef will whip up something special this weekend for ya!!

Have fun today my friends, I'm ready to get dressed and get busy around this place......KS, I didn't realize how yucky the old fridge was til I pulled it out and started emptying it etc, and now with the new one in residence, it is all shiny and sparkly and clean........one less thing to clean when I houseclean the kitchen (which I think is today's project). Nice to have really cold milk this morning. Dust bunnies that you mentioned...oh my gosh, there was black dust under and behind mine......it isn't an appliance you tend to move around to clean under/behind.....it was gross actually...

KS, tell your son we are very happy and proud of him~~wish him well on his new endeavor.....and tell him to catch all them bad guys!!

Just got back from Omaha...had a good time shopping. We actually went to find outfits for our daughters for pictures. Aubrey has to get her 5 yr. pictures taken and i wanted to find something for it...i found it not telling dave how much i actually spent though!

Now i got to start cooking...we are having some friends over tonight for the husker game...

Our Huskers did win

Dave's mom, dad, aunt and uncle went to the game in Iowa. His mom called around half time and said that his aunt passed out and they were on their way to the emergency room. She just called and said that they really don't know anymore but they did a brain scan and is wandering if it wasn't a small aneurysm
