Morning Everyone

Mac - I hope you were able to get a little sleep. It's good Mr Mac was gone, it makes it easier to pack.

Mic - C'mon admit it..you like that there are two sets of twins. :rotfl:

Keisha - that is an awesome deal!! I hope it all works out for you.

TVT - Good Morning..Glad you are back shouting at us.

Pam - I hope your cough goes away.

Gantor - I'm sorry I forgot you yesterday.

Deena - Are you getting excited to go to Disney?

Ed - I'm glad she is feeling better.

Muffy - have you finished your laundry for the trip?

Good morning all!

i guess i can play on the internet

ed, i hope your wife is better now.

bob, i hope your little doesn't puke today.

:teeth:

Good morning everyone. Busy day today with work, soccer practice then booster club meeting for the football team. Then tomorrow it's work and off to Dover for the weekend to watch some of my machine buddies go in circles for my amusement. Hope you all have a great day.

morning testers - hope you all are well...mark me down for insomnia mac, should have come down & checked out the boards last night...still hyper

Mom (who's 76) got her feet tripped up in one of the long flowing skirts she's so fond of & fell over backwards down 2 steps on set of stairs. Good thing they're in sections with landing inbetween & DH was close enough to help break her fall (shudder to think if she went all the way down the stairs). Unfortunately, she's a big girl & he was only able to stop her & slide her down to the landing. I'll look on the bright side & say after lots of tests the hospital proclaimed her bruised but, not broken:thumbsup2 . They did have to glue her ear on...when in the world did they start that in lieu of stitches - such a great idea. She's on enough pain meds already to sedate an elephant, so they patted her on the back, told her she'd feel like hell today & sent her packing.

mac - Did you say 2 weeks @ the motherland - mr. mac will come looking for you & drag you home.
wink.gif

do hope they honor the special rates, either way, hope they make a decision soon so I can make alternative plans...conscience starting to work on me. Surprised that DH, world's biggest boyscout, thinks its a-okay...must be rubbing off on him.

muffy - hope you clocked in

, lets call it research.

pam -hope your kiddos didn't bring you home a bug from school, rest up.

ocm - must of missed you weren't feeling well either, something's going around...how'd the painting finally turn out? Pretty soon, time to cut the grass again. We ripped out the grass in front (never grew well anyway under large shade tree) & it's all planted & mulched - of course it a tiny front yard.

mic - caught some of the news coverage from Austrailia...daughter breakin my heart. Missed dancing w/stars last night - do you watch that one?

tvt - how about a lime green mickey head wakeup tomorrow?

bob - that pic of your boys is such a great one, everyone's kids are so photogentic on this thread.

deena - did you buy lots of cruise wear? My DH did the mickey tropical hawaiian shirts & kakhis (and he felt overdressed @ times - lots of jeans onboard).

gant - carmel latte please:thumbsup2, good luck on the game. My DH used to ride his bike over to Dover with his buddies (he's domesticated now:lmao: ).

It took me about an hour to mow my lawn with the push mower. But I have about 3/4 of an acre, so that is about right. I should be mowing again today, but my mom is coming into town.

How did the painting job turn out..WELL..LOL..I shall show you a pic of it and you tell me. The only way to explain it, is that it looks like wallpaper falling down

Clearly painting is not one of my talents :sad2:

since I see green underneath, it's appears as though you didn't "size" the room...use Kilz or whatever to prime it first?

did you try putting a gloss over a gloss perhaps...need to put a coat of flat/satin finish in that case; then you can alternate next time.

lastly, you might need to actually sand the paint (then wipe down walls with tack cloth) if it's oil base to get it to adhere properly...try a test section 1st.

did I mention that DH used to have a painting business as a side job.;) Another reason I married him...he's a brush master.

A lime green Mickey head ??? :confused3
Ever go to Home Dept & hang out in the paint dept. (ocm - taking notes LOL), they have Disney branded adhesive paint swatches in the shape of mickey mouse heads. Funny thing is they can't keep the lime greenies in stock since so many DIS'ers confiscate them (where's mac;) ).

Not sure how they became the secret sign but, many DIS'ers decorate their doors/windows @ the *** (bet mousekeeping luv that to death) & wear them into the parks as a nametab/badge of sorts.

There's a thread on the CB devoted to them...I'm known far & wide as the originator of the catch phrase "respect the lime"...see my siggie. Yep, must have been really bored that day.:bored:

bet you're sorry you asked:rotfl:

Good morning...early risers and early to workers :goodvibes

KS, OH DEAR, glad Mom is glued back together and not seriously injured...oh my, that had to be scary for all of you. Hope she feels better today, obviously she won't be feeling any pain
She's on enough pain meds already to sedate an elephant

Hope all our other sickies are doing better too :goodvibes

Gant, won't that be special to be with other metal peeps and see them chasing around in circles........ :rotfl:

Momma, I DO like twins....

Chris Rocks dad was right! Robitussin does cure everything :teeth:

Yes Im ready for my trip. Though Im a wuss and I miss the kids already and I havent even left.

KS--no I havent bought any clothes for the cruise. I probably wont except some pirate stuff. I want to dress the boys up for POTC night. I might dress up to but I can tell you David is not going to dress like a pirate :lmao: Sometimes he isnt a lot of fun ;) Now he would dress up like a football player but not a pirate.

Actaully do you see the brown, that was the original color of the wall. The dark green is a flat primer we used all over and then the lighter green is the semigloss interior wall paint. None of the paints are oil based.

What I was thinking of doing is getting on of those scraper thingys and scrape off whatever I can then sanding it down again and washing again, then painting again. Or, I could call a professional.

I need to find myself a man that is good with his hands..in all different ways. :smooth:

ocm - missed the brown entirely...they say eyesight is the 1st to go:) . DH uses one of those small hand held electrical sanders that have a dust bag...I like less dust.

deena - my older DS quit the vacations 2 years ago due to school/work (figure they'll be back once they have kids;) ), I still find myself constantly thinking..."jeremy would like this ride/meal, etc." guess it's all park of them growing up.

Had such a blast for the pirate party, we just went with wearing the bandanas they gave us, youngest DS had a POC dressy long sleeved shirt on, couldn't wait to lose the headgear...he kept rolling his eyes 'cause his mom & dad are sooooo immature:banana: ...bet you get lots of plunder on the cruise - always seems like a bunch of cool stuff.
