Good afternoon guys!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

My sister is back home, prem. results came in okay.
They're doing a body scan .

she'll be doing radiation and chemo regardless.

thank you for all concern & good wishes :goodvibes

hi muffyjo, i'm glad to hear from you. be sure to keep us posted on your sister. we all care here for you and your family.

btw, if most of you don't start posting on the weekends, we may end up having to have saturday school next week...........

that's what they do to the bad kids at my high school.........break a rule, be at school on saturday morning. and, no sleeping in the class allowed.

going to shop for food now.
i have stopped my diet.
i plan to live in the real world and to heck with it if i gain weight this week.
have to practice up for the motherland and free dining program there.

can you pick me up some cookies and cake? :teeth:

my car is in the shop. i feel stranded at home with not enough food! :rotfl:

Hiya friends...Oh Muffy, I've got you covered, I picked up PLENTY at Uncle Sam's today :thumbsup2

I'm so happy to hear some good news from you Muff about your sister.. :grouphug: we all will keep praying and thinking positive thoughts...hoping for the best

Mac, you can be unedgamacated on the weekends :goodvibes we din't kare, kause we akt lik we ain't got all r smartz somedaz two and eyez njoy beeing stoopid sometimz...ant then sometimz it ain't all an akt wit me, I doo stupit stuff and kant beeleeve I did that.............if you can read all that, welcome my friend, you have dimwit moments along with me...can I just say I had to really THINK how to misspell all that... :lmao: :lmao:

I bought a good bit of fall/winter clothes today...I don't want to be running around half the winter looking for stuff, so I found some pretty good sales. I went to a new store, well for me anyway as I hadn't shopped there before, called The Dress Barn. I don't know why I never went in, it is quite nice. They have sizes from 4 to 24, ( a real plus for us yo-yo dieters :rotfl: ) so they have stuff for just about everyone. I got a couple cute tops. Our Hecht's which was a neat dept. store just went the way of becoming a Macy's...I went in today to poke around...not nearly the great sales Hecht's had and lots more fancy brands. I managed to find a couple pair of slacks. I didn't check our the whole store, I was getting tired of shopping, so I basically looked at what I needed and left.

Ok, off to watch the end of the baseball game.........GO SOX....ok, that just made me feel good, even though they are toast for the this season.

mic - unedumacated:goodvibes I like that one...

I am an unedumcated, classic, under-achiever...& damn proud of it.
I like the DressBarn! They have an online store too, I've got a few special occassion dresses there, always seem to have styles slightly different than the dept. stores. I do find their dress sizes seem to run big; although it's always nice to buy a smaller size.;)

mom ran me ragged today, how many $ stores can there be in a 10 mile radius; spent $10 on gas to save a few bucks...if it makes her happy - so be it.
Against my better judgment ate long john silvers chicken (her favorite) always makes me queasy - must be the oil?

mac - Enjoy your time with junior. I always manage to gain between 3 - 5 pounds @ WDW, despite walking miles everyday. Think the buffets & dessert are my downfall.

muffy - hang in there!

ocm - hee-hee, I like the shoe story:thumbsup2

pam - what's an apple-jack (cereal-lol?)

mic, i swear, you should be a teacher !!!

dress barn and christopher banks.........i shop at both of those places.
nice stuff there.

and now it's time to say good night.

turn the light off and get under the covers.

tucking you into bed now.

sweet sleep all

i'll be in church while you catch extra zzzz's in the morning.

got you all covered for the week.

Well good morning/evening everyone. Been one of the busiest days of the year for me. Please forgive any typos (look at the time). The day started out with a soccer game for the 7yo. I explained to the other coach that it was my 1st year coaching soccer and to give me any feedback or pointers. Turns out that my team was so far ahead of his that I felt sorry for him. (Bob, I'm sure you could appreciate this.)

We played 7 on 7 and called everything except for off-sides. My team must have had 9 shots in the first 5 minutes that did not make it on net. I adjusted the players to look for open teamates and we scored 5 goals in a 3 minute span. Meanwhile.....back at the ranch.....they could not bring the ball over the center line. I ended up pulling my regular strikers back to defense and had my D as strikers......more goals......I then had only 2 forwards and instructed the others to play at the top of the goalie box and no further. They still couldn't get the ball past the center line. I put my little guy in goal because the original goalie had no action the whole 1st half.

I felt very bad for the other coach and believe you me, I do not have an all-star team by any stretch of the imagination. Sorry to carry on but I have nothing better to do.

After the game I rushed the little guy to Dorney Park for my company picnic. I stayed with the family until 4 then I had to come back to DJ a 50th reunion which brings me to being up at this unGodly hour. I am enjoying a rum and coke right now but I am also saying a prayer for Muffycat's sister. We will not accept anything but a 100% recovery. And that is biblical my friends.

Have a great night and Mac, thanks for covering!

Morning all!

ks--applejack here is just a little town celebration. My town is known for J. Sterling Morton--the man who founded Arbor Day. So every year my town puts on a Applejack which includes: craft shows, parades, tours, fundraisers for some groups. There are tons of people here...we have probably around 8 thousand people in my town...well yesterday there we an estimated 50 thousand people in my town...it is a big thing ;)

anyway, off to get the kids ready for sunday school...no teaching for me today as this is my off week. Then we will go to trent's first football game of the season! :cheer2:

mic--you better not start talking like that all the time...i had a hard time understanding ya!

mac--that's okay if you don't use your teaching skills...look at the paragraph i just wrote to ks! that's me all the time...i hate using proper writing! :teeth:

gant--sounds like you had a good day yesterday!!! Relax a little today...you deserve it!

muffy--glad your sister got word! The worst is not knowing...now she can buckle down and beat this thing!! I am rooting for her!

Hi all, everyone having a good weekend?

I had Chris's soccer game in a.m. then Linda and I went to wedding.
Today we are going to buy a pellet stove then coming home to watch the Patriots game at 4pm.

Good Sunday to all :wave2:

Gant, it's nice to see friends day or night around here....so glad your little 'bots had a good game! That is inspiring for them, even if the other team wasn't too hard to beat :thumbsup2 It's still a learning process and I'm sure you are teaching them well. DJ'ing and company picnic, you guys are busy, busy.......

Pam, Applejack sounds like it was fun!! I wern't talkin' no mur lik thet if u kain't understant me... :rotfl:

Mac, you are a whirling dirvish too this weekend

Ed, enjoy the Patriots...glad you have someone to cheer for :joker: ;)

good sunday to y'all...hope the lord will excuse me, I took the day off to clean, hope to sneak in one more dip in the pool (after we finish planting bushes/mums, etc.) before we close it...waiting for youngest DS to get back home from his lost weekend;) with the black eyed peas...still seems mighty elaborate for a 14-year old birthday party to me. Guess I'll never be able to keep up with the jones'.

pam - thanks for s'plaining, is it arbor day?

gant - nice recap of game:cheer2: you should look into sports reporting - in your spare time. I forgot that you're a DJ, we had a mighty difficult time booking one for upcoming nuptials for DS. Not sure whether it was the fact that it's 12/23 - (busy time of year?) or the fact that we weren't prepared to pay $1,500 for services.:confused3 Finally, found someone (with many good references) to do the honors for half the initial quote we got. Wonder why there's such a wide range in price?

ed - DH's been clamoring for a pellet stove, all the guys @ work have them & swear by them... Have you done any research on them, are they all comparable? Hope you have some helpful hints - hate to just show up @ Lowes & pick one arbitrarily.

muffy - my, you are a popular one one on the CB! Your head must be spinning.:goodvibes

mic - DH found some crabs in the freezer this am, guess what we're having for dinner, always reminds me of Baltimore/OC.

mac - 'da Bears:) we always root for them over the Lions. Have you heard the rumour that Back to the Future's going to be a Simpsons ride? Youngest DS is holding his breath...any predictions?

OH BOY, share what you learned at the seminar!! Type out those notes and forward them to me... :goodvibes perhaps when life lets me scrap again, I'll make good use of them :teeth: Seriously, glad you had fun and learned something new

KS, crabcakes sound good, and glad it will remind you of MD...I don't care for them, but dh loves em......next week for our company picnic, its a crab feast, so dh is all about attending... :thumbsup2 one way to lure him to an affair, promise him one of his favorite foods

It is a gorgeous day here too, hope you get that last "dip" into the pool

I have done basically nothing but a little laundry today, and in keeping with not ruining the day, I plan on doing nothing...... :lmao: I know I'll regret it as time gets closer to the kids coming home and I've not done all my heavy duty housecleaning, but I just didn't feel like doing that crap today...so I didn't...LOL

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the little ladies!!

The pics are SOOOO cute and looks like everyone had fun!! Oh MY, that cake looks good, and she sure is enjoying it......my kinda girl :thumbsup2 :cool1:
