Good morning everyone. I finally can come up for a breath of fresh air. The only meeting I have today is with 4 lovely admins. We are planning a Luau themed team building BBQ for Tuesday of next week. I'm in charge of ordering the hog. There will be about 70 people attending. It's nice to be able to throw around the company's cash for the workers. Now, if only the weather would hold out.

Planning for Lee's 30th OCM? I just dug up some pictures from my 30th that Brenda threw for me. That was ages ago...you know....covered wagons, places where people could tie up their horses, record players...you get the idea. Have fun planning.

Party over Pam's next Saturday! I'll bring the macaroni salad! ;)

Bob, I will concur with Mic on your trip. I have lived that vacation before.

Muffy, I'm glad you enjoyed the pastry. Perhaps I'll leave something else this morning.

Mac, I hope Todd's PT goes smoothly. Been there done that.

Deena, I feel your pain. My Malibu satrted overheating 2 weeks ago. I took it to the shop. Intake manifold gasket and 1 grand later I had the car back. I had an extended warranty with my credit union and was 5000 miles over the limit. :guilty:

Mic and TVT :wave2: :wave2:

Hope you all have a great day!

  Oops. Sorry for that.

No, I'm not a single dad, I'm not even a SAHD (I work full time). I just have weeks, especially in the past year since my wife made partner, where I feel like I'm a single dad, either because DW is working long hours or she's out of town. She's a great mom along with being a very successful businesswoman. :thumbsup2

ocm- good luck planning dh's party. 30th? wouldn't i love that! :rotfl2:

I think the new innvention then was the wheel. :lmao:

Adam - The company picnic sounds nice!! I bet it is nice to spend some of th ecompanies money on the employees. Very fun!!

You know, you aren't that much older than we are. My mom had offered to throw Lee a suprise party, but that is just sooo not Lee. I felt bad because she really wanted to do it too.

I was trying to send him to the Philippines by himself!! He would love that. But he said he doesn't want to go until Christmas. I'm still wondering if I should just priceline the ticket for him and tell him here ya go..have fun.

Have any of you ever stayed at the Hilton Head Disney Property? He may like that, although that woud, require me getting a swimsuit. :scared1:

Bob - I'm sure you look Dashing in a tux. I LOVE black tie affairs..well, i really love the night after the black tie affair is over. :smooth:

Really? You like planning things like this? You are more than welcome to plan his party for me!! Infact, you can keep him for a while too. :lmao:

bob- my boss's wife is like yours. everytime his job gets too him, he says he's
going to quit and be a stay at home dad!

he's kids are 9,12 &15, so he's always going to the games,practices.
gets the call from school nurse etc.

i can't plan si--!
i'm the worst hostess
my dh will be 50 next year and everyone is telling me i have to do something for him.
so when you figure your dh party, tell me i'll just do the same! :teeth:

I've walked around the HH Disney property, but we didn't stay there, we stayed in a condo on a different part of the island. It was nice -- but looked like it would get boring pretty quickly if you wanted to just stay on the property. Then again, I spent a great deal of that trip on a golf course, so many would say that was boring too. :teeth:

Morning all!

The last day of swim lessons here! :cool1: I wouldn't mind it so much if it didn't take up my whole morning...and if aubreys teacher was more kid friendly...she has been having them do bobs(when she takes them under water and brings them up then back down) she doesn't wait for them to get their breath or to take a breath before she takes them back under water. She did better yesterday though...i said something to the instructor after one girl ingested a whole bunch of water and all the young( like 18) teacher did was laugh! All the parents there were NOT happy.

Oh I bet!! That would have made me mad too!!!

Ok..well, since i hate the beach, i guess I won't do that. I mean, if I get to plan, I shoudl get to chose what I like too right?? :rotfl2:

Thanks Bob..I spent a lot of time on the golf course this past disney trip. I think we went golfing about 5 times.

Hey!! How did you do that so quickly??? :confused3 My DH's Bday is in a month and I still havent figured it out!!!

He can't go in Sept. Girls Only...It's the rule. Sorry. Of course, he could go down by himself and get his own room. But, no spying on us :lmao:

sweets- does your dh like sports?
they have those fantasy camps with some teams, that are popular.

notice i think of things that we don't have to do anything

LMAO!!! I need to think of things like that too!! No, where do you find those camps?

I just looked up and priced out if we went to Disneyland for a few days jsut the two of us. My DH is a huge Disney fan too. But, I think I would spend less money at DisneyWorld. Really, the more I think about it, if I could get amazing airfare, I still say sending him to the Philippines would be the cheapest. I've never just bought a ticket and told him he had to go..so Im nervous to do it, even if it does make sense.

A number of those fantasy camps (especially sports-related ones) have a minimum age. I know the one I've always wanted to do (Cleveland Indians baseball camp) has a minimum age of 35. :)
