here's a kicker--gas was $.53 a gallon

I have been around for 11,688 days and for 280,512 hours :teeth:

Well, it is official...trent's ballgame got called off due to rain...they play tomorrow at 8 am....that is going to be a LONG day. It is a 50 minute trip so I think we are meeting at 6am. Some of the teams are done...only the top 8 are still in it.

I think we are going to go out and catch a bite to eat. We are going to try out this new restaurant that opened in my town called The Avenue Grill. It has been very busy so hopefully there won't be a wait.

The jury is still out if i am going out tonight....haven't decided since we have to leave so stinkin early in the morning...we may possibly have to play 3 games tomorrow...i'm not as young as I once was so i can't handle being out late...us OLD people need our beauty rest! :teeth:

Hiya all.........oh Pam, 8 a.m. baseball game...I remember a couple early games like that, and we all had to meet up usually to make sure everyone was going to be there, or who needed a ride.......but you hopefully will rock n roll and be a winner all day long!!

mac, yes, indoor plumbing does come to mind, as do TV's and telephones...LOL

Q000004.jpg

so we called in a pizza/sandwich order, took the pooch for a backroad drive to the pizza place, drove over to a park with picnic tables and had our little supper there.......we then took a long way around ride back home...something different, didn't have to get spruced up and it was fun. Most of all the dog was happy he wasn't left home along ;)

I remember pay phones (& phone booths too - no, not the red ones @ Epcot LOL).

I don't do "delivery" pizza...it's always such a hassle w/my dogs trying to eat the delivery guy/pizza @ the door - not sure which.
Officer jeremy (middle son) is not getting married that I know of:rolleyes1 of course, I'm always the last to know anything in my family. # 1 son is tying the knot. Although #2 is considering a "quickie" marriage just so I'll spring for a honeymoon trip...he's holding out for Hawaii. He'll be waiting a looooooong time, behind me.

I don't do chiffon or pastel. Knew my future DIL was okay when she said I could wear black velvet gown w/Gold embroidered jacket. I pretty much live in black...not a goth but, would like to think it sets off my "natural" blonde hair & takes off 5 pounds too.:teeth: Of course, my mom thinks it's utter shameful, yadda, yadda. I have another "tea length" dress I bought that is black (of course) with georgette overlay w/some muted floral print. Since the wedding is Dec. 23rd, I think my dress is appropriate.

At the bridal store where DIL got her gown, she convinced me to look @ the MIL dresses. Found 1 on the rack that I liked...price tag was over $3K. Think DH would have filed papers the next day if I came home with that creation.

Just back from POC II...liked it alot but, thought the direction was lacking; somewhat disjointed(??). After everyone sees it, we'll compare notes.

KS, glad you enjoyed the POTC2 movie....I don't care if after others see it you guys discuss it.........I'm sure it will be next weekend for us, I just didn't feel like trekking back to town and standing in a long line to see it...

No, my doggie didn't eat the pizza delivery guy, I went into the place and picked it up... :thumbsup2 he actually was so busy spinning his head around trying to see out the truck windows (he leads a sheltered life) that he wasn't even concerned I had a pizza box on the floor. :goodvibes

Your dress/dresses sound beautiful. I'm sure you will be a very beautiful Mother of the Groom. Be glad you are witnessing the big event. My son and dil eloped to Reno........I was on vacation at WDW, we get a phone call telling us they are off to do "it". In a way it was a good thing, with them so far away, and her side of the family dynamics (think a bunch of coconuts), it saved a lot of this and that. I wish I was with them, but they did what was right for them. Maybe someday they will re-do it in church...and here at home where my son grew up, that would be nice.

Phone booths were awesome.......and it only cost 10 cents (I'm not so sure I don't remember a nickel phone call)

Well, now that my stomach is overloaded, I'm tired........may go relax a bit. I'm totally not starting anything :laundy: til morning............

mic - She's got a lovely bunch of coconuts...that must have been a heck of a shocker! Sometimes think eloping is the best idea. Personally, I think destination weddings (think WDW!) are great too. I'm still lobbying to tag along on DS's honeymoon - sort of a personal tour guide. My boy's all for it...his bride hopes I'm kidding - tee-hee!

One of dogs luvs car rides, the other cowers in the corner (must think he's going to the vets).

We couldn't decide between pizza & McD's - they have pirate toys in the happy meals, guess what I got...a cool blow up sword to chase my DH with - later, yar!

If you think happy thoughts & click your heels 3 times; maybe the :laundy: Fairy will come, or even the Tag Fairy!

KS, you always make me laugh.......the elopement was sort of a shocker, they had been "residing" together for awhile  and planning to be married that fall, but just up and decided they wanted to get hitched, so off they went to Reno. Oh, a WDW wedding would be so wonderful...and yes, I would lobby, and lobby hard to go along as a tour guide...think of all the things you can show them. ;)

Man, a pirate sword..........you hit the jackpot........Drink up, me hearties! KS is going to chase her dh hubby around with a blow up pirate sword, and what a show it will be...........arrrghhhhh ;)

Man, if only there were a laundry fairy...........

I actually had their special which was the prime rib, baby potatoes, and steamed veggies. I am not a huge fan of prime rib, but i have to say it was pretty good. Although since baseball started we haven't really had a good meal so i think i was having withdrawls....now i am good on my steaks for awhile.
Trent had the bbq grilled chicken and after he got his i was really wishing that i would have gotten what he got.
