I thought Tony's glasses were "swimmin' wit da fishes"......... :rotfl:

Not that it matters, my kids are adults now :joker: but they went 1/2 to kindergarten...it is now full day though in our area. They phased in different schools in the county til they all were at full days.

KS, I'm glad I make you laugh.......ya, likely story, a troll stole your "i" :magnify: just like that accidental banana....... :goodvibes

I guess the birthday gal is sleeping in :yay: now that is my idea of a birthday!!

I was a Catholic school product for my whole life, as was DW (even college, technically, as we both went to a Jesuit school).

I was a little concerned about the grade school because of my childhood experience, where there wasn't much by way of accelerated classes (or choices in general) and I was behind when I got to high school. But we went and toured the school with the principal and we were both impressed with all they have to offer. :thumbsup2

I am a product of catholic school and yes catholic college (UD is Marinist)!! My brothers all went to Jesuit colleges.

I did go to grade school for 3 years in public school and I have to say I was ahead when I got to the catholic school. However, I think once I got to the high schools (the first and the second) I was way ahead of the public schools.

I'd love to be able to send my youngest DS to the local/central Catholic HS but, it's to the point where it costs nearly as much as tuition @ Pitt. The activity fees are excessive IMO.

My kids took enrichment classes @ Carnegie Mellon thru their C-Mite program on weekends & during the summer. Nice opportunity to expose them to a place of higher learning IMO.

My mom would have NEVER been able to afford my Catholic High School. I think tuition when I went to the all girls school was 10-11k. I was on scholarship, but I think that is why it is easier to excuse me. :lmao:

My brothers' school I think was 7-8k at the time, but they were all on scholarships too.

I though it was good, i actually went to the public school for 6 months in the 9th grade
then switched to the catholic high school.

what's even better about private schools- is uniforms

no hasseling each morning with the clothes.
