A joke for my Iron Friend

Verizon recently hired several cannibals. "You are all part of our team now," said the HR rep during the welcoming briefing. "You get all the usual benefits and you can go to the cafeteria for something to eat, but please don't eat any of the other employees." The cannibals promised they would not.

Four weeks later their boss remarked, "You're all working very hard, and I'm satisfied with you. Our Productivity has never been better and employee morale is great. However, one of our secretaries has disappeared. Do any of you know what happened to her?"

The cannibals all shook their heads no.

After the boss had left, the leader of the cannibals said to the others, "Which one of you idiots ate the secretary?" A hand raised hesitantly, to which the leader of the cannibals continued,

"You fool! For four weeks we've been eating Managers and no one noticed anything, but nooooo, you had to go and eat someone they would miss!"

evening all!

just got home from the blow out they called a football game...our team lost 37-7...the football program here has really gone downhill. Hopefully by the time trent gets there it will be good again!

gant--sounds like you have a ton of work ahead of you! Hopefully you will get what you need.

ed--good joke! :thumbsup2

Ed....how true!!! :rotfl: :lmao: I'm the manager and I would be absolutely lost without my AA. She is the one who runs the entire show as far as I'm concerned. The hardest part of becoming a manager was to delegate tasks. I started off in the mailroom of this company and worked my way up. I think I'm the only manager in the company without a college degree. I guess I make up for it in (BS) :teeth: (must be part of my sales background)

The thing I got going for me is I'm not afraid to share with my employees everything that I have learned. I found that if they are knowledgable of my job that I can take a vacation without worry. :smokin: Makes me look good and my boss also. I'm not too conceited to acknowledge this.

Evening all...........whoowee...........as soon as I stepped into work the day went haywire.......but it went by fast. I did leave at 4:30 today, although got stuck in traffic and hardly saved a minute

Gant, superdedooper on the new assignment......no doubt in my mind you will handle it like a pro....good luck and keep it running smoothly! That is sad about someone losing their job, but it seems rightly so and if you are finding unfinished business, that is NOT good...good luck making it right :cool1:

Funny joke Ed...seemed so fitting also :goodvibes

Pam, the pink hair is vrey becoming, got for it :thumbsup2 I get two colors foiled in...and mixed with my gray :rolleyes1 I have a head of many colors :rotfl2:

KS, I understand how you feel about the family situation. I guess I'd do whatever seems is good for you and the dh....and letting him have the say so seems a good idea...his family, his choice. Those situations are always so hard. I know what you mean though about people being weird and then in hard times, you don't quite know how to react. That is weird that when you called they never mentioned the death :confused3 Good luck with whatever you do and just make it right for you guys.......sometimes you start to second guess yourself and that (for me) makes it always worse.

Hope the gals are having fun...Tony, any more Lady Sightings?? LOL....

Bob, have a great weekend, enjoy dinner, show, baseball :cool1:

We went to the movies tonight and ate at Arby's...now how is that for the high life?? Needed to eat quickly, as I had a bunch of stuff to return different places and wanted to make the 7 p.m. show. We saw "The Guardian" with Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher. It was a very good movie and if you like adventure with a dash of romance, some funny moments and plenty of action, you will like it. I'm beat now.

Little Mr. Fuzzydog has an appt. at groomers in a.m., so I'm off to bed....night my friends

ssssshhhhh....don't tell we have secret de-coding devices :rotfl:

Oh, KS, pictures please of the graveyard scene in your yard!! Please

sure is quiet this am, our gent responsible for our wake-up call must have partied too hearty with the girls.:thumbsup2

the joke was funny:rotfl: & true, nice to have big wigs realize that the AAs keep the show running. Way to go mr. roboto!

ocm - whatcha doing this weekend?

mic - sounds like you have a great evening, when you're with someone you luv, it doesn't matter what/where you go. Will take lots of pics when the masterpiece is completed.

pam - hairy-yee, hair-yee; report to the salon. Sorry for the fb loss, my boys' team did even worse. I had already :tiptoe: out of the stadium. QB's mom shoved middle DS from behind on the bleachers & proceeded to berate him for benching her kid (who threw @ least his 15th interception of the season). Kept stating she was a teacher in the district & would have him fired. DS replied that he was a cop & she was close to an assult charge. Her hubby had to drag her out kicking & screaming. Funny part is my DS was center on his championship team (he's a big, muscular boy); the mom probably outweighs him by a 100 #, his masculine pride was wounded...what a world.

while I'm on a roll, when relenting & buying said DS under armour before the game @ Dicks my CC was declined. Called them when we left the store & apparantly it had been used earlier in the day to purchase a $470 snowboard & prepay 1 year of AOL for "someone". :faint: So the fraud dept didn't suspect a snowboard & prepaid internet service but, a $39.95 payment sent off alarms.:confused3 glad they're not running national security program.

this is the same account that was used in Isabella Spain for $1,500 jewelry purchase when I was in Nassau last Dec. Generally, only use it for travel; linked to my QS account @ alamo. Now I have to stay around the house on Tuesday & sign for a new card....and to add insult to injury, I have to pay for the delivery.

Guess I'll have to monitor all my CCs closely for a while...anyone else ever have any issues?

/
Morning KS....oh dear, sorry about the fraud on your card...haven't had that issue....knock on wood....in some years, and hope I don't anytime soon. Hope you get it straightened out for yourself....sure it wasn't you buying a snowboard????? :rotfl: That stuff is annoying and scary when it happens. Tell DS to knock that woman on her collective **** if she does that again....ditch... :furious: DH coached baseball, been there, done that routine...always made me want to jump and throw a punch or 2 :rotfl2: although I'm sure I would have been the one getting up off the ground :rotfl:

Got almost whole front room housecleaned, curtains back up...just taking a snack break and checking in...now I can put the decorations up at least in that room.......awful thing to admit, but the dust was about 12 inches deep :sad2: I have really let it go......blech, but once done, except for regular dusting etc, its done for the all the holidays coming up. I used to love to clean.......not NO mo' for this chick.........I really, really need someone every 2 wks. to come in and just at least vacuum and dust for me.......hmmm...sounds like a plan. That is the woe of going to work, you need the money to pay for the stuff you don't have time to do ;)

Well, back to the drawing board..........

thanks for the support. disturbing to hear of someone picking on your "baby" isn't it? Glad he exhibited self-control, something the teacher was evidently lacking...fine example she set for the students.

it's a vicous cycle, the rat race; when I worked full-time I used to hate spending my weekends cleaning. must admit that my house was probably cleaner then than now. not sure whether it was because I had a set time scheduled to clean or not...now I dust as the mood strikes me (once in a blue moon lol).

it's freezing here, think I'll give the fireplace it's 1st run of the season to take the chill off later. need to go run a few errands, think I need to "test out" my remaining CC...just to see if they still work;)

morning:sunny:

mic - cool icons...the middle one looks like Gene Simmons, in Kiss makeup...sans the tongue.:)

hope you all have a nice, relaxing Sunday....except for our buds in the motherland-party!

Morning friends......

Those little smilies were my pre-going-to-bed-I'm-bored contribution :thumbsup2 I had a cute one that wouldn't post in the middle, so that is why Gene Simmons showed up :rotfl:

Just up and now need to shower and get out for groceries today...cleaned and put up halloween stuff yesterday, still have a ton of stuff to do around here, have a giant mess in the room that I tore all the decorations out of...stuff sitting everywhere.........not enough hours in the weekend.

Have a wonderful day and I'll stop by later :wave2:

Morning all!

We had a busy day yesterday! I did get my hair done and it is different than I usually keep it...i will have to see about picutres. We ended up going to our friends house to watch the Nebraska game last night...it was a close one but the huskers pulled it out and won just by the hair on there chinny chin chins.

Keisha...sorry to hear aobut the cc's that is scary when that happens.

have to get the kids ready for sunday school!

have a good sunday everyone!

pam - i keep checking my other cards on line, just in case...

so, do you like your new hair cut?

has it "grown on you" yet;)

mine's half way down my back, I get traumatized when it gets cut too short (some day I'll grow up lol).

afternoon all!

keisha--i jury is still out on my hair  my mom walked upto me today and said..."what did you do to your hair?" I don't think she liked it :teeth:

Trent's team didn't do so well again today...I can't wait until baseball season

I think i may go for a walk later when it cools down...it is 93 degrees right now...so much for fall today! It is suppose to be warmer than usual the next week..i am so ready for 60-70 degree weather.

Hope everyone has a good evening!

Hi all..........been running all day, then home with stuff to put away, feed the troops, clean up, fix my lunch for tomorrow, get laundry out of dryer.....did an arrangement of silk flowers for a friend, cleaned up that mess, changed clothes, called Mom and here it is 8:30...whew, I'm tired reading that

Pam, can't wait to see the hair color and cut.....I think I'm going for darker next trip myself, the winter is better for darker, plus when I get more of the lighter foils put in, my roots and gray show up quicker

Off to see what I can find to watch on TV..........although a bummer season for my Sox, we finished up the season today with a shut-out...wish we were moving in the post-season, but.....them's the breaks and as a Sox fan, I'm used to disappointment ;) :joker:

Wonder how the gal's are enjoying themselves......and mac has another whole week ahead of her........she will be taking it all in and enjoying every minute.

:wave2:

Pam, keep those temps out your way.......... :goodvibes It was cool Friday and Saturday and pleasant today...we are to get up to around 80 mid week...I'm ready for fall...........was loving yesterday......(sorry KS, I know you are a warm weather chick) :sunny:

mic--i'm so tired of reading your day i think i am calling a day myself

I will try to get dave to take a picture of the hair this week....that means that i will have to actually fix it
Dave is off this next week...he has a couple weeks of vacation to burn before the end of the year. He seems to have his plate full of what he all wants to do this week...hopefully he gets it all done!

Anyway, calling it a night...see you all on the dreaded Monday morning!

HEY IT'S MONDAY IF I HAVE TO GET UP YOU ALL HAVE TO GET UP~!!! :sunny:

On a lighter note....I met up with a couple "testers" on Saturday. :thumbsup2 Went over to Epcot and hung around with Mac and Joanne for part of the afternoon. We ran into a group of gals with Denna too coming out ot The Land Pavillion. It was a fun time....

OCM has your company gone home?? :cool1:

Monday......BLECH

Oh, that is awesome you guys met up, glad you had fun! Is everyone enjoying the trip?

Off to work my friends, more later..... :wave2:
