He is here, and adopted!! The money exchanged hands and he is now mine....a real cutie....he is being pretty good, just checking the house out and laying at the door after his family left....they have 4 girls
, one being a newborn.......so he was all excited playing with them before they left. Can I just say the owner almost had ME crying when he left, I just thought how hard that had to be, to leave your family pet just like that after 3 yrs.....it made me very sad.......the kids were kinda ok, they just ran out and got in the car........
I had to run to the store to get him some food....they gave us his crate and his pillow, so he should be all set for sleeping...
I immediately called the groomer after they left, he needs a good grooming...he doesn't stink or anything, but they let his hair go and he just needs a good doing up.......next will be a call to the vet to have him neutered...(I can see the guys crossing their legs as I mention that..
)...This is one spiffy dog, he was born in Germany and has traveled back to the states with his family.....so he's been more places that I've been
I'm not bothering him too much, just letting him settle in....once he gets cleaned up and presentable I'll post some photos.......dh won't see him til he gets home this evening........so doggie has another family member to acquaint himself with. It is uncanny how much like our other dog this one is....same coloring, manners, etc...just a little smaller. It's like fate brought us all together.
Off to do a little laundry and then Shadow and I are gonna lay in bed and watch TV............wonder if he'll ask for Rin Tin Tin or Lassie....
Mac, our old dog came with the name Macadoo..........and we changed it to Maxi or Max...so he was sorta your namesake
