My (male) cousins locked me in my aunties closest when I was pre-K...but, I'm out of it now:thumbsup2 .

Does it snow in Texas? Familiar w/snow belt area below Cleveland near Geagua Lake (or whatever they're calling it now). Anyone ever visit it? We really like the Betram Inn but, haven't been there since they ditched the Sea World left-over animals last year.

My kids are doing a snow-dance, hoping we get nailed. Haven't had a school delay let alone a snow day this season...forgetaboutit!

Do grapes have nuts? I prefer bacon & eggs, swimming in the bacon fat. Lately, I've been on a cereal kick, new fav. is Special K with strawberries. How do they do it?

macraven, what are you purchasing...sounds like a biggie!

North Texas gets a snow or two a year but I live in Houston and we go years with no snow. Though Christmas 2004 we had a white Christmas and it was awesome. It snowed Christmas eve and snow lasted til mid day christmas before our sun had sucked it all back up. my kids were so excited! Well I was too.

My brother locked me in the attic once...but like you, I'm not still there. ;)

It's back to being called Geauga Lake :thumbsup2 Cedar Point (well, the company that owns CP, Cedar Fair) bought it two years ago and changed the name back (and cleaned it up). We live 20 minutes or so away from the park and our close friends like in Aurora (around the corner from the park). :)

Oh..see, what you need to do is send him to Pam. :lmao:

Yep, send him my way......although some of these kids today think i am the wicked witch of the west!!!!! :confused3

What would you do with a 5yr. old that is biting??????? Yes, he is the same one that I put in the corner for throwing a huge tantrum.....not just a little one...a kicking his feet, slamming his hands on the floor fit...just because another boy had something first that he wanted to play with!!!!!! :furious: :sad2:

I feel sorry for his teacher next year as he will start kindergarten!!! He is nowhere ready, and I have told his mom, but she just sees it as not having to pay daycare anymore!! :sad2: And we wander what is wrong with the kids today???!?!?!?! Can you say there stupid parents!!!!!! :sad2:

okay, now that i got that off my chest....let's play!!

Bob is having the day from He!! :sad2: :sad2:

And now I have to leave in a couple hours for my next blood test.

I think that is how a few of our days are going!!

Sorry you are having such a bad day...I hope it gets better soon!!
Good luck on your blood test!! :goodvibes

Bob - Im sorry you are having such a bad day!! Hang in there. And good luck today.

Pam - call that kids mom and tell her she needs to take him home. That he is way too disruptive today. School wouldnt put up with it, neither should you.

Speaking of Adam, Im still undecided about April.

I have an opportunity to go home this weekend. (There is a body builders meet in haggerstown :smooth: ) For my mom's bday ;) and (I could meet up with Todd too) my cousin inlaws baby shower is happening on Sunday. So, I may go up this weekend. It will give Lee a free weekend here without all of us (he likes those) and I will have free babysitting and a chance to see my family. Really, it will be good to see my family again. Really, honest, that's why I am going. :teeth:

Anyway, if I do that, I'm not sure I will get there in April also. We will have to see. If I do go, I might meet up with you for a day, then meet up with some of my cousins another day. So, I don't want you to think I'm not thinking about it, I'm just not a for sure.

Yeah right....she would make up some excuse so she wouldn't have to pick him up...seriously, i do feel sorry for this little boy....single mom...she just juggles him from my house to a night time babysitter, and hardly spends any time with him. His dad only visits him when he wants to which is hardly ever, and she is not consistant at all!!! So, I dealt with it...i put his little butt in the corner, made him appoligize to the boy he bit, made him go to nap without the t.v. time the rest of them had, and will not let him go back in the toy room the rest of the day! You all may think i am being to harsh on him, BUT this is NOT the first time he got introuble for bitting!!!! He did it about a month ago too!! He is 5 and needs to start being responsible for his actions..he will be in school next year!

That is fine about Baltimore! Anyone who wants to come is still welcome to come!! The more the merrier...we are going to have a blast! :woohoo:

I dont think it's in the least bit harsh. I would have done the same thing. There is no reason for a 5yo to be biting!!

Bob - yuck! I hate needles, hope it's a quick stick.

pka - I usually bit my kids back, put an end to that nonsense (no fava beans or chianti though!). Of course, it'd probably be a lawsuit waiting to happen w/the little monster/tyke. Whenever I'm bad I take a timeout too - hide in a nice bubble bath.:goodvibes

Afternoon all......Pam, you aren't being mean, you are trying to teach the little guy respect for others and to behave, obviously he isn't getting this at home, and yes it is sad to say the least......I never condoned biting with my own or others...it is nasty

Yes, whoever shows up in Baltimore....  everyone is welcome, even last minute-ers.... :thumbsup2 I need something out of the daily routine around here and I'm getting excited....its only 1 month to the day......

Bob, hope all goes well with your visit to the vampire.... :p

Almost outta here.............. :yay: :hourglass

bob, have the nurse kiss it where the boo boo is from the needle
hoping its not a guy nurse.......

pam, if a child throws a tantrum, bites another child, or is obstinate, he is sent to the office out of the classroom.

the principal has to get a written report from the teacher and the parents are called to come to the school immediately. then the kid goes home that day once the principal goes over the issues with the parent.

if a child can not control their anger, they have to see the school psychiatrist or social worker on the next incident. and, the parent has to participate.

if the child bites another person, no admittance back to the school until the parent has a meeting with all involved. the injured party's parent can file with the police and make it a legal matter.

schools no longer tolerate aggressive behavior, tantrums or becoming physical in anyway. when it is kindergarten, 1st grade level, they get one more chance.

my gf's son was suspended from school for 10 days for aggressive behavior. this was 12 years ago and he was in 1st grade.

that lady will have her hands full when the kid goes to school.

our kindergarten is all day school not half.

ks, went grocery shopping and took a lady from church to get hers down also. she is recovering from surgery.

You know..I did a lot more than what I got caught for. If you never even went to the principal's office, you were just too good.
