tvt, were you the babysitter one night?

i'm trying to figure out the one she mentioned she met on one of her many last trips.

that gal is a trip, she trips all the time and we need a scoreboard to keep up with her. i think she has a suitcase packed at all times.......... :rotfl:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Nope...I wasn't the baby-sitter...

deena answered that one........you weren't the sitter.

but if you were, i would bet you would be a good one !!

Afternoon......NO PICS...boy, you are not the scrapbook person I thought you to be Deena ;) :rotfl: :rotfl: I know, just no incriminating evidence is why you didn't drag those camera's along..........I don't blame ya, the trip was for fun, not mugging for the camera.

I flew alone from BWI to Phoenix a couple years ago...changed planes in Denver too, so I'm here to attest that you will be FINE Pam...the only thing you might find is missing luggage......TVT is good with that and can help you retrieve it........... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Luv ya Tony.... ::yes::

So Deena and Momma, what were the highlights of the trip? Has to be something that stands out.........TELL..... :hyper2:

Pam -- you've never flown alone before? :faint: :faint:

I might be wierd (well, I know I am, but for many other reasons :hyper: ), but I love flying by myself. It's relaxing to me to have a nice, quiet flight to myself. :goodvibes :goodvibes

Nope never!! The first time I ever flew was on my honeymoon! When I was a kid we were a family of 7 and it was just to expensive for us to fly so we drove whereever we had to go.
I am sure it would be a nice quiet flight...no kids saying they need this and me getting up 40 times just to please them!

I am looking forward to the weekend though...

Now, what is this about losing luggage?!?! :scratchin

I only flew once as a kid as well (our trip to Orlando when I was 16) and flew maybe three times or so from college through the time I got married in '97. But then I started a job that had me flying a lot -- quite a bit of it internationally, so I got very used to long flights after a couple years of that. Thankfully, around the same time Cameron was born, my job responsibilities changed as well, so I was home pretty much all the time after that. I still have a TON of frequent flier miles accumulated though, which is nice. :teeth:

Oh that is awsome that you still have the ffm...don't they expire? We really don't fly that much which is perfectly fine with me ;) usually every other year or so. We will drive when we go to san antonio this summer...my kids are already bugging me about it! :scared1: They keep asking...how many more months, how long of a drive is it?, where are we staying?, what is the hotel name? :faint: Now I know why we surprised them with the trip to disney last summer!

Continental's don't. That's where DW and I both have the most FF miles. I think I have somewhere around 200,000 and DW has like 110,000. :)

 WOW..that is alot of miles!!! Your dw flies alot for her job now though doesn't she?! You will be flying free for quiet awhile! :cool1:

It'll go in spurts for her -- there's stretches where she'll have a lot of meetings within a few months, but during this time of the year, she's home (well, not home per se, for example she was home at midnight last night, but not out of town).

We haven't used any FF miles in a long time, though -- we keep saving them up to fly the whole family business class to Hawaii for our 10th anniversary (in 2007).

That will be a nice vacation for you!

I imagine that your wife works some looooonnnggggg hours right now! I bet you will be glad when this time is over!!!

flying solo is kewl pam.

you don't have to carry conversation on with anyone and can just stay with your thoughts or snooze.

my last 6 plane flights have been alone.

where is little momma these days??

must be dinnertime for all, no one here but me.

don't forget, american idol tonight at 7cst

woo hoo

missed AI tonight!! We had to go out and cut out the kids pinewood derby cars...now we just need to paint them and get ready for the big night! :flower: You know, I am thinking that this car thing....it is more for the dads than the kids! ::yes::

pam.........you missed some good spots tonight.

next week will be a two hour segment.

how did the car thing turn out?

Now Pam....please STOP because this is simply not true! You see, if we could just build a ball bearing system (or even a liquid mercury one) that fits into the cars without going over the 5 gram stipulation, the forward inertia would carry that wooden car faster down that ramp than any of those other dads.....I mean... kids cars can travel.

Just trying to add a little levity. Being a pinewood organizer, I informed the dads that we would have a dad race after the kids race and that we would scrutinize any cars that seemed to be made by....forgive the term...ADULTS!

The dads race was pretty cool because we (the adults) would bet on whose car would win in each round (without the kids knowledge). That added a little atmosphere to the night. I was able to get 50 pounds of chicken breasts, 20 pounds of green beans and 50 pounds of potatoes donated by our local Shop Rite for the evening dinner.

Adam

adam, the pics are just fabulous !!

don't forget the coffee this time............... ::yes::
