Ok, this year I am taking the kids out. I guess I am dressing up again. I hope it isnt going to be as cold as it was in Flordia. I was freezing!

all the communities around here have designated days and times for it.
ours was held saturday from 2 to 5. it has been with this system for the last 8 years.

I hve no idea what the rules are, but I knwo my kids are incredibly excited about going out tonight. So, we are..I am hoping for 60s. It was COLD back in flordia.

Good morning everyone. OCM your little ones are absolutely adorable. There must have been many magical moments on that trip. I think I would frame every one of those pictures.

The football games went great yesterday but I did end up getting sunburn on my face. What a gorgeous day it was here yesterday.

mac--we are trick or treating tonight too! We always go on the 31st unless it snows really hard or ices then they usually postpone it. It is suppose to be in the 60's here tonight! that is warm for this time of year!

I am not looking forward to getting bombarded with all the trick or treater though! My neighborhood always gets hit hard every year so i decided a couple of years ago that i was only going to buy 8 bags of candy and when it is gone we will shut off our light. The first year we were here we went through 11 bags of candy and took some out of trents stash because we didn't have enough--it is crazy!!!

I did take some pics of the kids yesterday...i will see if i can't download them.

i didn't know that where all you live, you celebrate halloween by trick or treating.

they stopped the halloween parties when my kids were in grade school and made a fall festival party in its place. gee, i think that started in 1992.
only costumes would be what the theme was. one year it was favorite character from certain books, pilgrims/thanksgiving theme, a favorite animal, that type of stuff.

i made an error, the cities/towns around me stopped the halloween trick or treating more than 8 years ago. think the last time it was allowed to be done on the halloween night was about 13 years ago. the last 5 years, we received no kids on the designated saturday.

not many people in my town celebrated the date so they pushed for the change quite a few years ago.

Mac - heck yeah we go trick or treating. We did that in DC too. I am suprised to hear that you gusy stopped doing it. This is one of my favorite holidays. I love dressing up!!

Hey you guys, someone I met, I honestly forget who, but he and his wife had the DIS stuff on. Anyway, we were in the Barber Shop (Nico had to have his hair cut) and the guy says, "You look just like I pictured you to look, from your posts."

What the hell is that suppose to mean?

You know how paranoid I am, you cant say stuff like that to me!!

Okay short but sweet catch up since I have a sick kiddo--actually 2 and 2 trying to catch up with them.
Didnt send the post card. We were trying to get a pic of Connor and Evan in the monorail, a hero picture and Connor in the Nemo one. Connor decides he doesnt want his pic taken at all and tries to cover his face. David and I had to get in the one of the boys that looks like you are in the monorail since he was being difficult. No postcard from MS because the boys and I did something else while the big boys did that.
My kids had a great time time with Nico, Julie, Chris and Connor. The magical voyage fireworks cruise was such a blast! We loved it.
HHN sucked this year. We didnt get express passes because I didnt think everyone in our group would spring for them and the crowd was HUGE. We had to leave at 11 to get the boys from child care at Sandcastle club so we only got to do 3 houses! Demon Cantina--liked it, Body Collectors--really liked it! and Cold Blind Terror--just okay.

i mentioned about getting the express passes for hhn as it was predicted the crowds would be big for hell week. high school was off and wed and thur were speculated to be packed those nights.

cold blind terror wasn't anything great, probably the weakest house there.
body collectors and skool had high ratings from screamscape and other sites.
terror mines also were rated high and received the award the days yu were there.
did you see bill and ted show? it was so good i saw it 6 times.
the express passes were going for $20 prior to the night you went. sometimes they increase in price if you wait and buy them the night of the event. i bought mine the day they went on sale to get the cheapest rate on them.

guess this is why yu didn't report or mention hhn to us.
did anyone in your group like it??

i spent 5 minutes or less in line when i used the express pass. i didn't use it until around 9:45 at night. repeated the houses each night i was there to catch the differnet teams.

sorry the kidlettes are sick. that is no fun
