Hi mac....I read your lunchtime post, but for some reason was having trouble trying to post, so just logged off. I'm sure it is my son's computer...he really needs a new one..........

Talked with my Mom, lots of blown over things trees uprooted in her neighborhood. She is thankfully about 5 miles from the gulf, and they seemed to sustain the most damage by the water. She was without electricity though, so hope that is not too long for her. In the big picture of life, it is all good.

Nice day here, around 90, but a nice breeze blowing....I sat outside for a bit and the sun is dang hot here.

Looks like my days of traveling when I feel like it may be gone....I think I may apply for the job of the gal I was working with, she has resigned as of 11/15. I'm submitting a letter of desire anyway and will weigh my options on Monday when I get back to the office. If DH's plant closes down, this will help out so I feel I should at least give it a try. It would be as a 10 month employee.........so in essence, summer would equal my vacation time. I need to ponder the whole thing.......

hope all is going well with your mom and the damage is minimum for her.

didn't know about your hubby's job. that is awful !!

a 10 month job is almost as good as a subbing job.
you should get benefits with that.

i have spent 3 hours now on the computer....trying to rent a car in dc online.
hertz is sold out and the others are kind of high for the time i need.
who in their right mind pays $55 day for a subcompact ????

made ressies with avis and budget and neither of them thrill me but need a car so i'm screwed. it's that take it or leave it thing.


i hear ya mic about not being able to post. that happened to me yesterday when you posted and i was trying to get on to reply and say hey to ya.


hope the days go slow for you out there. enjoy the last days as much as you can with your family.

Hi Everyone!!

I am not sure about the postcard from Epcot. For some reason my kids dont want to ride figment (their favorite ride in May of this past year.)

Julie had been acting funny, so we got a doctor to come to our room on Sat morning and she had pnemonia!!! Poor little thing. And on Tuesday last week, she fell down the escalator. She has had a week!!!!

Other than a few incidents here and there, we really have been having a great time. The kids have been playing and choosing what they want to do. Its been really nice. I have seen a lot of people and Deenas boys and Nico really hit it off. Evan and Nico clicked pretty quickly. So that has been really nice.

Tonight, Lee and Nico went to Epcot to watch the fireworks and the Beach Boys. The girls and I had a quiet evening at home. We are at Old Key West right now. I am trying to decide if I like having the room over having the luxury hotel.

This was the first time we had ever done concierge..and Nico is dying to go back there. I have to say, it was very nice being that spoiled!!!

Ok, I better get going, a little more laundry to do before I put the kids to bed. I hope you guys have a great week. I'll try to post pics before I leave.

Oh how nice to hear from momma, but sorry the Princess has been ill...just like us here, me, the baby and now dh have been hacking away for a week now.....blech...sounds like you are having a nice time, but being laid back too, that is awesome. How cute is that that Nico and Deena's boys are having a blast.....good for them...I'm so glad to hear all is well....love to all of you........have you met up with Ed and the family yet? He owes you a spanking doesn't he??? LOL

Mac, where are you trying to rent from? one of the airports or a free standing place? Everything in DC is expensive...hope you can find something a little cheaper. Try National with some codes.......I used them out here for our trip to CA...got AARP discount and then they had a $25 online coupon so it was like $50 off altogether. Good luck.

See everyone tomorrow..I know it is late back East........and again, these rascals getting up around 6 a.m. are wearing me out.... when they go to bed around 7 or 7:30 I'm ready to follow them.......TV is all different out here too...lots of things on at different times........its screwy, but guess you get used to it if you live here.

Just an FYI mac, which I'm sure you know anyway....sometimes the better car deals come at the airports, BUT, sometimes you pay less taxes/fees with offsite.........found that out when we rented our van here....although the guy at the rental counter was a complete moron.........I could have slapped him he just irritated me to death.......and then he was there the day I returned the dam van......... Not sure if Enterprise is in the area you guys are staying, but sometimes they will bring the car to you.......just a thought...

didn't get called for work today which is a blessing and a grudge.

not going to be in town for the 3 days this week and really don't want to work on monday that is coming up.

the kids are all taken to school! it was a little hard today..aubrey woke up on the wrong side of the bed...she was grrrrrooooouuuucccchhhhhyyyyyyy!!!!!!! It was cold here today and she didn't want to get out of bed...it was 34 degrees here!

mac--i gotcha now...i know exactly what you mean now!!!!

adam--thanks for the help! I think this team could use them all of the time...just tell them to move here!!!

I should get something done today but i really don't feel like it....if i don't do anything today there is always thursday!!!
