WOW....we all are busy people this weekend.......I will be leaving in the morning, so I won't be checking in til next weekend.......I'll miss you guys and for those of you going to WDW, have safe trips.......and tell all about it when you get back..........have the bestest time ever!!

I got our stuff all packed and the rental mini-van all picked up, so California here we come.........we made sure the van had a DVD player to keep the wild ones quiet......and calm........and hopefully all of us at peace...

It is supposed to be cooler in CA than here, although quite warm during the days this week, (We went to the pool yesterday...the water is cool and when the wind blows out here, with no humidity, you feel cold when you get out )the evenings have been cooler...but 90+ degrees every day..........I just had like 2 days of fall and we are right back into the heat..I'm really looking forward to fall when I get back east, I miss it...we will miss most of Oct....but its been worth it.... My boys are so dear, I love em to death....I want to pack them up and bring them home with me.

Hey Adam & Deena, looks like your Astros are doing pretty good..... Boston could have played as bad as the Angels..............LOL

Yes we must all be busy. I am going to Atlantic City with all of my siblings for our annual trip today (Sunday). Look forward to that every year. Those Astros have me cheering very loudly lately!!! My hometown football team continued their unbeaten streak and I was teaching DD 14 how to take pictures on the sideline for the school newspaper. All is good on my end. Hope you all have a great weekend.

adam--have fun on your trip today! Sounds like alot of fun! I really haven't followed much baseball since my team is out but i have been pretty busy too!


I am sooooo sore today!!! I played volleyball ALL day yesterday--i think we figured we played a total of 7 games yesterday! I knew i would be feeling it today--i am old and out of shape!
Today i am going to go meet my mom to pick up my kids so trent can make it to his football game and then i was going to go paint for my sister but she isn't ready for me yet so looks like i get to just relax and hang out. I might let the kids paint their pumkins today.


oh and last night....i played texas hold em-- i didn't win but i came close!!! I got second!! I won like $45!! there were 8 of us playing! I smoked all of the boys that kept telling me i didn't know what i was doing!!

nope been up for awhile. got dave off to his golf tourney. have been looking at cruises on the internet...thought it would be fun for my entire family (sister and spouses, brothers and spouses, mom and dad, and all of the kids) to go on one! It looks pretty reasonable priced too! I am sure my tight wad of a sister will knock it down like she does every time i suggest a family vacation!

Anyway, off to shower and pick up the kids!

Im doing laundry for the week and trying to set aside stuff for the trip that the boys wont be using during the week. Also trying to get my house looking half way civilized so I dont have to come home to a disaster area.
Im so excited.....I ordred my DDE card--that 20% savings is going to be a lot for my horde! Plus I have a few meals already taken care of:

back from all the football games. Trent ended up having two games today. He won the first one and lost the second one. the second on was the undefeated team who has not had any touchdowns scored against them--trenton's team scored 2 touchdowns on them so they were excited about that.

Ed--WOW!!! only 3 more sleeps!?!?!? I'm getting excited for you! When do you fly out? morning? What is the very first thing you are going to do when you get there??? Don't forget to go on splash moutain for me!!!

mac--wish i could take the day off!!! instead of pee pee boy i now have him fixed but now have a pee pee girl! I tell ya....this potty training stuff is for the birds!!!

deena sounds like you will get out of texas in time for the next hurricane to come your way if is still stays on the same path. Hope it dies down before it gets to you!

it is still pretty far out and i just heard talk of it. maybe i am wrong but i thought that is what i heard...it is turning into a tropical storm right now i think

still feel like i am on vacation and would check the weather channel when i was in orlando in the morning and night time............didn't want to get caught in the rain.

did end up with 3 mickey ponchos, and an umbrella.........would leave them in my room and ended up buying another when it poured.

We have a ton of ponchos as well. I forgot to pack ours last June and we had MANY thunderstorms so had to buy a new set.
Its hard to tell about Wilma. Most models show her headed back toward FL right around the same time we are due to arrive in FL--we get there Sat am.
And we have a Wishes fireworks cruise sch for Sat night that I really want to go on! OTOH I dont wish Wilma on NOLA/Mississppi and I dont want her here.

I watched a special on National Geographic I think? that says hurricanes tend to go in cycles and we are coming off of a slow one and into a heavier one thus all the hurricanes the past couple of years. Who know if that is so or not I guess we will have to wait and see.
