pam sent me the postcard from epcot...its where you can do the pic of yourself and send it to a friend by email.

i made her promise to do that............i think she was afraid to come home if she didn't.

i know mic can figure out how to post it here.

when mic gets up, i will forward the email to her and have her post it .

where is mic now?

ocm......when you come back , you will be less of you. think the boys need pics.........

mic, i just read on another board that disney DID extend the booking for the free dining program. the new cut off date is august 20............ :sunny:

WOO HOO....I read that someplace on the Dis yesterday, I was reading threads I never read..........LOL

Oh, I got the link for Pam's picture too! So see, she was a good girl and listened to both her Mom's and made sure she made us happy!! :flower: The photo just looks like a family having so much fun...can't wait to hear how the kids reacted when they found out where they were actually going!

pam is coming back home on friday.....................
it doesn't seem like she has been there very long.

i hope she gives a good report, well at least talk about her trip, when she gets home..

Oh mac, I know, all the anticipation of the trip and its over in a eye-wink....yes, they come back late Friday I think.............just imagine how fast the time has gone for them ::yes:: :sad1:

Ok, off to shower, eat and NOT DRESS...............it's Thursday............ :cool1:

What a great pic of the Pam family! They look like they are having the best time. I hope they got to do a lot of fun stuff.
Good for those getting the free dining that missed out the first time. We snagged it for out trip in Sept so we plan to be eating good! lol Im so excited to try Le Cellier for the first time. I wanted to try Mama Melrose too but I guess that will have to wait for Oct.

i have all my adr's made for my 10 days at disney.
trying le cellier for the first time.
also: ohana, san angel inn, ltt, concourse, grand floridian cafe, tonys, crt dinner, marrakesh and crystal palace.

i have been to san angel inn, tonys, crystal palace and ltt before.
do you think there is another place i should go to that's a not miss type and switch one of my repeats?

help me out here guys. :flower:

mac, can't remember, did you ever try the Japanese restaurant, that is like a Benihana? It is lots of fun and the food is good....you have choices of steak, shrimp, chicken or a mix of all..............YUM........and the chef we had was a hoot and made for a fun time

Deena, we are going to be eating good...........can you guys that are going on the big meet now add on this free dining thing to your dates in October?

We have eaten at: Ohana--we liked it, San Angel Inn--it was okay, the boys are used to Tex-mex, LTT--we like, Grand Floridian--havent been, Tonys-we liked, CRT--havent eaten there, Marrakesh--havent eaten there and Crystal Palace--its okay, I like LTT better but we also really like Pooh and friends.

Our next trip we are trying Teppanyaki, Mama Melrose, maybe Spoodles (their breakfast menu looks great!), Cape May (character breakfast for kids) and maybe Cape May at night for David, maybe one of the places in France.

mic, the answer is no. your trip has to , at the latest, start oct 4 to get this free dining deal.

if you start your stay on oct 4, it will extend up to and including 10 nights.

i called disney and they said, both times, aug 26 thru first part of october is very low occupancy at the resort hotels. it is one of the lower crowd times.

hope that is the case this year.

on one board i am a member they are predicting low crowds for sept as many are afraid of repeat hurrincanes like last year. that makes sense.

deena, i have eaten at san angel inn 3 times. one time was fantastic, one time horrible and one time was just good/ok.

i needed a filler for that last night i am at disney and didn't know where to go. the dinner menu looked fine and since it is free for me, thought i would go with their nachos and steak dinner. i do prefer carne la tampiqueno better though. i still might change this ressie but don't know what i want.

japanese has somethings i do like, shrimp, steak. i don't do sushi.
i thought the chinese place looked better but i am afraid of long waits there from what was posted on tgm.

the reason i didn't book yachtsman club, cape may and boma is the travel time it would take from me in the parks to get there. as it is, i am hoping to a different park on three days just to do dinner.

i chose cp as i have only done their lunches due to $$. the menu looked good for dinner. i have been to cp about 9 times now. it wowed me at first, now its just a place to eat going solo. they are good to solo travelers there. and the real reason is for tigger, eyore and pooh

Ltt is because of mnsshp and an early time of 5 that day of the party.
sorry to see they took off the flank steak there.

mama rosa, the menu didn't catch my eye as a cant miss. convince me i am wrong. it would be ideal as the last thursday i am there, i will be in mgm all day and evening. gay cousin dan and friend is meeting me there that day.

i cook middle eastern food (thank you first husband) so it isn't a thrill to go there but i have heard people raving about that place so i need to try it.
if i had to pay for dinner there, get a gun and shoot me........no way, jose would i ever pay over $40 for a dinner......

Well I live on theGulf anyway. Though we dont get as many hurricanes here we still get some. I have been twice in Sept and onece the beginning of Oct and there were low crowds all 3 times no hurricanes, lol.

deena, this will be my 5th trip to disney during september.
i go the end of sept to get the tail end of the value season and it carries over to october.

then, i move over to hrh, go for the hhn event. i am hooked on it. so much fun !!

two times i did universal the first weekend of oct.
two times did the second weekend of oct for universal. first weekend is best. no crowds except for opening night. express pass booklet not needed first weekend but needed second weekend.

i have been late feb/early march and i liked disney then. that was when it was only mk and epcot though.

first week of may is my second choice for disney.

i could never go during the christmas season as the family comes first for me. kids home from college and i want to be with them every minute.
you know how that goes being a mom.

i plan my fall trips when the kids (2) are back in school and not at home.
husband i can leave home and call on the phone to visit. kids, no way, too long to be gone from them even if they drive me up a wall at times.
