hey gang! hope everyone is having a good saturday!


it has been a crazy day today. we just finished up with the garage sale. we made another $200.00. Now it is finally all cleaned up though and i can finally have my garage back.

Hi Everyone,

I am sorry I wasnt around. We left Thursday morning and I got stuck in that AWEFUL mess on I95. They closed both north and south all lanes closed. What is a normal 10 hour drive took us 15 hours. It was aweful. We got there just in time to go to my moms drop the kids off change and run to the wake. Then, we got home around 11pm and went right to bed from what at that point felt like one of the longest days of our lives.

Friday Morning: the funeral was at 11, but I was at kohls by 8am to get shoes to go with my dress for the day. BTW..kohls is hveing a great clearence sale on shoes right now!!! The funeral was very sad. Then we went to the burial and the reception after.

Friday Afternoon: I called my mom and the kids to come meet us for lunch. Julie was AWEFUL!! Then, we left the kids with my brother and my mom and I went shopping for me for a dress for the Baptism. I ended up with this.

I found it actaully at Macy's and I knwo what you guys are thinking, that is the UGLIEST dress. I thought that too. But when I put it on, I was amazed. It really wasnt as bad as it looked. SHe lso bought me a dress for the wedding, but who knows if it fits. We'll see next week.

Friday Night: We went to Clydes in Tysons with a bunch of Lee's friends. That was nice to be with people our age. He made plans for next weekend, to which I had to say NO. Next weekend is going to be more busy and insane than this one was, and the only people I want to see are my family (and I guess his too.) LOL! But, no friends, we just dont have time.

Today, we didnt hit much traffic, but the kids were not very fun people. We mde quite a few stops, the TV only helped so much.

I am just glad I can get back to the gym tomorrow. I hate missing all those days.

There is a lot more to tell, but I am soo sleepy. I'll talk to you guys another time.

Hi Pam, miss richpammalamma after 2 weekends of garage sales...good for you, that is awesome...and I got your PM....

Momma, so glad you are home, and off that road. I95 is so awful anymore, that I why I just hate driving it. I LOVE your choice of dress, it does not look ugly and I know you will look lovely in it. I'm sure you are worn out, so rest up and then come and visit with us. Speaking of accidents, and momma will know this place, but on I70 at South Street, a truck went out of control and killed a father and his 8 year old son on Thursday night...the reason I mention this........they were returning home for the Orioles game...yes, the same game that we were at, only we had passed that spot about 1/2 hour before they wrecked. They are saying the bad rain and maybe alchohol were factors....I'm so thankful we had been through that place before all that happened, plus the paper said the road was closed for 1.5 hours....very sad that a happy evening for 2 men and their son's ended so tragically.

I watched the movie "Anchorman" with Will Ferrell tonight, and as dumb as it was, I laughed at him telling the guys, "The only way to bag a classy lady is to give her two tickets to the gun show, and see if she likes the goods"..... and he had the most pitiful looking arms ever... Crazy darn movie

Ed, those pictures are GREAT...thanks for sharing..........I loved Maid of the Mist, it was so neat. Your boys are getting so big and growing up right before our eyes, they are adorable.........if you ever want to lend them out, I'm available.............. The photo of you in the chair is priceless.... The family picture is good of all of you too. You and Harrison have the same look on your faces, what secret are you two sharing? It looks like you had a really good time. Hope Mrs. Ed's foot is doing better............give her my best and tell her to heal up fast.

mac, is the wind blowing? we've not heard from you this evening...and jules must have made it out with her pals to celebrate the birthday.

Hi guys. I know Im late. I was so busy today. Was out with friends most of today and then tonight I had Bunco. That left David with potty training duty and Im not sure he is as diligent about it as I am.

Deena.................did you find the extra person for Bunco? You mentioned being short a couple players.........hope you had a fun evening. Just for your ears/eyes...I watched a pretty cool show on scrapbooking on some off the wall cable channel tonight, they had some cute ideas........but wow, they seem to spend more time with the embellishments than the pictures....did you get that font thing for the computer you were telling me about? I want to hear about that..........

yes, ocm, have the disney planning done. only thing left to do is order a town car for airport to hotel needs.

made dinner ressies for all ten nights.
ohana, concourse, LTT, san angel inn, grand floridian cafe, CRT, le cellier, tony's, crystal palace and marrakesh.

also planned the lunch counter places i wil go.


now planning menus and dining for universal part of my vacation.

hey, on one of the boards someone posted that they read the haunted mansion, one of my fave, is going down for rehab at the end of summer.

have any of you heard this? i am so hoping it is just a crazy rumor.

morning all!

i am just about off to lincoln to do a little shopping. I need the little odds and ends for our vacation. Plus i need to get enough groceries for this week...have i mentioned how much i hate grocery shopping!!

ed--those pictures are great!!! Looks like you had loads of fun! thanks for sharing with us. I have never seen the falls...so actually you just showed me my first peak!!

mac--i am glad you got your ressies all taken care of. I actually only made 200 of those dollars but that was our total sale. there were a 3 other people that brought stuff and that helped me. we leave on sunday and get back on friday. just a short trip and not enough time to do everything we wanted to but aubrey is not one to sleep without her bed for very long so she gets GURMPY! and when she gets grumpy mommy gets grumpy and then everyone else gets grumpy so it isn't worth it to stay longer. hopefully she will grow out of this and we will be able to go longer next time.

mic--i am so glad that you got through there before the accident. that is very sad. you never know when you will be at the wrong place at the wrong time. I am glad you are safe and sound my friend!!

ocm--glad you are back too. sounds like you will have a busy time ahead of you! I am sure you will pull it off with flying colors though. the dress is very pretty! hope you have a fun time!!

deena--did you win at bunco? the last time i played that game i think we played with a loaded die. well that is my story and i am sticking to it anyway!

Good morning friends..........everyone is up and sharing details of their trips......seems everyone is very concerned about eating..... but hey, that is very important too!

It is nice here this morning, but I think it is calling to heat up...blech....talked to my Mom in Florida, they got a good bit of rain from Dennis and yesterday was very windy, so I hope that is it for her area.

No plans today....Pam, have fun shopping and get something really nice as a birthday treat!

Mac, I haven't heard about the rehab at WDW, but I think POTC in DL is going to be down while we are there, it is my favorite too and they always re-do Haunted Mansion with Nightmare Before Christmas stuff out in CA too, so we have never seen it without all that stuff in and around it. Space Mt. has been refurbished in CA also, so I'm looking forward to riding it in its new glory.......

good to see most of us checked in today. is this the day adam went to yucky kansas city mo???

what a great afternoon. well late afternoon, got home from church at 1. changed clothes went to the grocery store and now playing on the computer. trying to read up on the tour guide mike i subscribed to. it hasn't helped me that much. the tips he gives are the same ones i have used for years. his days of the week crowds are a tad bit different from touringguide.com site.

no kids here at the moment. one at work and will be home at 4:30.
one at army guard duty until tuesday.
and one in mexico...............

tricked hubby to do one of my summer jobs, painting the sidewalk and front stoop green for me. i painted it the last two times and put off this year painting it. i usually do it every 5 years.

have to fix dinner at 4:30 as my church has service again at 6 tonight.
i have only missed when i have been on vacation or when i or one of my kids have been in the hospital.

it is so kewl to have the house to myself.

ocm, don't you dread the long drive again next week?
