hey all, it is tuesaday.

an annoucement about the killings of the two little girls will be coming on within 20 minutes i heard.
went by the police station, only 2.5 blocks from my house, and lots of equipment and people there.
cnn, fox, 3 national stations, local stations set up for the upcoming announcement that someone will be charged very soon.
the father has been kept there overnight for questioning. he is still in police custody his father in law stated. unimagineable that it could be him. but, one never knows people, do they.

going to the make shift memorial tonight to drop off my offerings of love for the families. not an easy task. keep me in your thoughts.

i know the krystal tobias family. they moved to zion from texas many years ago. laura hobbs family moved from florida last year.
i taught yesterday and the girls brothers of course were not at school. i would have had them in my class.

after i came home from the dentist, which by the way was unpleasant and painful, the school called for me to come in to help out and teach. some of the teachers at the school did not come in today due to the situation.
i had to decline. i know i will be better later today. just a very heavy heart right now. hoping none of you will ever have to have this bad feeling i have or experience a situation that affects your entire community.

i live 8.5 blocks from where this all happened. my kids rode their bikes and played in that area for hours on the weekend. hard to believe something so beautiful has become so ugly.

i wil try to check back in later. i am going to be fine, just have a very heavy heart right now.

i work tomorrow and as soon as i get off i have to drive to get my toddster from school. his finals will be over and i get him all summer long.
going to stay in the usual motel next to the campus as i won't get there until evening. leaving thursday once the van is packed.
decisions.........hmm......who should i call to yak with tomorrow night.

just needed to talk to my friends here instead of pm ing you all. you said i could talk if i needed to and i am taking you up on it.

Oh mac, there is nothing one can say except it is just horrible and awful what this world is coming to.......I'm sure it has to effect you when you are so close to it all and then to know the children and families....how very sad.

Our little podunk town produced a teen-age killer also. Although his name escapes me at the moment, several years ago this boy shot and killed some kids out in California cause they had been bullying him. Come to find out, he had just moved there from our little town, and kids and people here knew him personally!! Talk about being a surprise, especially our little town who for the most part no one has heard of unless you live around here!! Shocking comes to mind when one reads anything like this.

Sorry you and the dentist are not getting along tell him to quit hurting you or he will have us to deal with...

It will be sometime before your area returns to normal, although I don't think there is such a thing as normal anymore....take care and we all understand what you are feeling right now.

Sorry each dentist has to take an oath before he can gradute. In this oath they promised to torture whoever sits in their "chair of pain". To this day just the smell of a dentist office makes me ill. They should knock you out like they do for surgery then wake you when its all over.
Mac--I just read about those girls. How very sad and scary to gave it happen close by. I dont even think these sickos should she the benefit of trial. They should be executed promptly and maybe that would deter others from harming others, especially kids.

deena, our local news just came on and stated laura hobb's father is still in police custody.

they have released 411 on his background. jerry hobbs released from texas prison last month after serving a two year term for assault convinction.

this is sick......




and on the brighter side, the dentist, yea, brighter spot today........ i should look at his certificate on the wall in his office.......want to make sure it doesn't list his name as mickey mouse.......

he gassed me and it felt so good until he caused more pain.
root canal and he had to put in four posts to hold the shell together.

in two weeks the crown goes on...........boy, am i lucky or what...

mac, I do have to say I/we have THE kindest dentist/s (we have 2 in the office) and will do everything in their power to not hurt or cause discomfort. In fact, the one is SO overly sensitive, I sometimes wish he would just get on with it instead of patting my arm every 2 seconds making sure I'm OK.... They are amazing Dr.'s and have been treating the whole family since the boys were babies....I feel if it had not been for their caring ways, neither of the boys would have grown up so fearless of going to the dentist. They still both inquire about my son in AZ and to how he is and his family, which I think is nice of them to remember him...in fact, they used to get a kick out of my boys when we would bring them in....they still laugh about those "brotherly" antics......... DH and I go on Thursday for our 6 month checkup...

yea, i thought it was possible to be the dad.
the dad, mom and laura hobbs had a family squabble that sunday and laura supposively said something off colored.

the dad waited and went to find them in the park and beat them.
then stabbed them.

after the bond hearing tomorrow, the police will release all the info on the case.
in illinois, no 411 can be issued to the public until after the bond hearing.
he has been charged on two counts of first degree murder and in illinois that makes him eligible for the death penalty.

got to go fix dinner.
will try to be back after american idol is on........vote for bo tonight........that is if you want to

Evening all..............woo hoo...........I'm hoping Bo does well in the votes....I can't get through for him....wasn't crazy about his first number, but his second was good...Vonzell ought to garner some votes with the "I've had a stressful day" and the tears...

I hope they soon can sing some songs that are more contemporary....go BO...........he is the best of what is left...........speaking of AI, where is our Anwar voting dude been? Miss ya Adam.............hope life lets you pop in to say hi to us.......remember to bring baubles and food when you drop by..........we are easy you know..... and NO Harley babies to beat us up....
