Ahh, yes mac, i know the feeling ;). Hey, it's "school" to the 2 and 3 year olds :p! Fortunately for me, I don't have to go back for two weeks :Pinkbounc! Bad day :(?

hi jules, enjoy your two weeks off work. sleep late in the mornings and party at night..........or at least with us until you leave for your florida trip..

yea, school sucked today. had to kick out 7 kids just in one class.
haven't ever done that in my career

wow ~ that's pretty bad  !

;)too bad I don't have that option at work :p.

How old are the kids you work with?

the high school kids run between ages 14 to 18, some are 19 as they are on the five year plan.

today i had 32 students and out of that number , 30 were special ed ones.
the assistant teacher skipped out at the end of the day and left me hanging....

by law, two teachers are required for that amount of sp needs students.
the 7th period class has 60% special ed and the teacher that was to help skipped out on that one also. that group only needed ten minutes to settle down for today's work. well, after i sent one out in that class, all behaved quite well and acceptable.

the horrible group was 8th period, the one where 7 were sent out with a parapro.
about three of them are classified as behavior problem students.

jules, i sub from grade 1 - 12. i spend 80% of my time at the high school level this school year and about 15% at the junior high level. in the beginning i baciscally stayed with the little ones.
i got tired of lower primary and switched to the upper grades for a change. but i still am allowed to switch back at any time.

pam, i am stricter with the school kids that mine at home............mine always got into mischief........................

jules, i had to laugh when i read what you said, you don't have that option at work.......................hahahaha...........

those little bitties can be a handful......

four years ago i filled in on the head start group that were 3 and 4 years old.
i swear, all we did was eat and clean up those few days i was there.
but, no one cried.......except me at the end of the day when they all left......

 no one cried? Lucky you . . . we have a few tears at least once a day. Eat, clean up, art, clean up, eat, clean up, chase around outside while being blown away by the wind :p,
eat, clean up, try to get them to sleep, eat, clean up, say "feet belong on the floor", "teeth are for food", and "nice touches" alot ~ we're not really supposed to say no, or don't unless it's an "emergency" . . . but I'll admit, those slip out too sometimes ;) ~ that's pretty much my day. Ha! and people actually think all we do is play with kids all day :sad2:

wow, that is a lot of eating and cleaning up :p!!!

Highschool huh? I like working with kids under five ;). Could never work with teenagers  . Didn't like 'em much even when I was one  they'd drive me looney :p

any who . . . I shall be back later I think::yes::

Evening all....wow, everyone was busy today..must be in the air, my little fellow was good all morning, than became the spawn of some unknown creature this afternoon!! He supposedly was upstairs napping, all was quiet, when I heard something and went to check up on him, well instead of napping, he had been quietly playing witih toys the whole time I thought he was asleep.. so I took his toys away and ticked him off, and he cried for at least 1/2 hr....I think he fell asleep for a bit, but then I told him he could get up and he refused...  I guess the reasoning of a 3 year old makes sense to a 3 year old...;)

Anyway, I didn't accomplish much today...made homemade spaghetti sauce, so that took up the better part of the day...messing around with that...did laundry:mad: and NOW have I bored you all yet.....:teeth:

Jules, you better check in before the trip tomorrow!!!::yes::

yea, i think you guys eat more than clean up............

who washes the littles' faces?????

I am starting to seriously dislike working for lil old ladies.
The one last week drove us nuts trying to talk tyo us while we are trying to work, now the one this week seems to be normal,, until she starts talking then you find out she is totally nuts. she used to be the school tennis coach, and now shes rather strange. she talks non stop, about things we are sposed to know but have no clue, we discovered today that the door to her shed in not repairable, but havent been able to make her understand yet that we are either goingto have to leave it as is, or spend another 100 bucks and replace hte unit. i still donthtink she under stands that we already had to replace twice the amount of wood on her house we priced, because every time we uncovered anyrthing today we found more rot.

mic, this is how i save my sanity with the super seniors.

i tell myself, i didn't birth them and they don't come home with me after the bell rings. it kind of puts it all in perspective then.............in a sorry type of way.

didn't know jules took off.
is it you and me here?

in about five minutes i have to eat something.......

now mic, you know i would never post pics online:) gotta figure out how to use digital with no flash and at night to get the lights to show up though,, already have almost 1000 bulbs out and will probably get another 1000 tommorrow, should have the house lit and ready to put out the inflateables by this weekend, then we start on best friends house:)
