good morning all

boy, these staying up until after 1 a.m. nights are catching up to me, I just woke up about 9:40, which is late for me to sleep in...its kinda nice once in awhile to do that though...

Pam, sorry I missed you last night...you have a large family too...and it sounds like you all are close, that is what it is all about!!

onecool, you have more family? you must have a big Christmas card list...LOL....this is what comes though of your parents coming from large families, lots of aunts, uncles, cousins and all that goes with it....I think its neat!!! and that's coming from an only child, with no relatives on my side of the family except for my Mom that I'm in touch with. I have a bunch of cousins, but we were never close...more so in childhood, my grandmother would get us all together in the summer, but for the most part that was it.

well, I found us a spot on the beach, hope we all gather after a bit and relax....

I dont send chirstmas cards, but I give every family a stocking full of gifts. I also do this for Easter, baskets not stockings. My christmas list for gifts is insane! But hey, it is worth it. They are fun people.

And yes, I have more family. My stpefather is one of 5. So there is a whole other side that I see about 4 times a year.

My husband's mother is the oldest of 10 and his dad was the youngest of 7, so when we go to the Philippines that is all we do is have one family party after another That is ok, he is very close to his family. He grew up with them as well.

wise decision on xmas cards, you'd keep the post office in business just in stamps alone.. , but the other things that you do sound really nice and thoughtful...

I really can't say I ever felt lonely as a child, you can't obviously miss something you never had...back in "those" days, my Mom was a stay at home Mom, so I had attention and I lived in places where there were kids....I guess I didn't think about not having siblings until I got older and realized that other people did have them I know it is not the same, but I have 3 girlfriends from teen/high school years, that although we don't see each other much, 2 live close, l lives out in OK...we are "like" sisters in our feelings for each other...still keep in touch and give support whenever needed. I gained 2 brothers, a sister, a BIL and a SIL via marriage, so in some ways I have siblings...we all are close...don't talk every day or anything, but are there for each other, we've lost parents to cancer etc. and have I guess emotional as well as familial bonds going. So to finally answer your question, I'd say no....LOL...

I'll give anyone who wants our "chairs" the seats, I'll even lay on the beach, it looks so inviting...I'm a beach gal...I love the beach. Let's hit it!! Oh, I'll help you get up, with your "tummy", if you'll help me get up from my "older" stiff back...

That is true about not missing what you didnt have. And it is nice that you have good friends that you have kept.

well, actual plans and what I actually "do" are two different things...LOL

I'm stilll putting that laundry away, that I sorta just left undone last evening, and mostly pick up around the house, I've really not done much the last few days so I kinda have to play catch up.

Then, I might just decide to read today...it is so nice out, finally the humidity is gone...so I might just be lazy and do nothing...well, I have to feed the dudes that I live with, but that is later today...LOL...

I took chicken out of the freezer to fix for dinner today...LOL...want me to fix your's for ya ocm?? I will, doesn't bother me...

just think what this poor woman had to do...go out into the chicken coop, grab em', pluck em' then cook em'....
