I'm so glad that I didn't get any snow, but poor Mac is probably still getting pounded. The Weather people say that I will get 3-6 inches today - I hope they are wrong They're still talking about 9 or more inches for Mac

woke up it was 65 , supposed to drop like a rock & snow later tonight...tornados down in tennesse valley overnight freakish weather indeed.

No school here today. I really think we could have had a late start and would have been fine, but they called it off last night. I'm running low on kids today...only 2 right now but will probabaly end up with 4 or 5 today.

We've got the nasty band of thunderstorms here that spawned all the tornadoes last night. The system has lost its punch, however, so we are not supposed to get the scary stuff. Fingers crossed.

I have to shop for Valentines sometimes soon. Before we get stuck with the picked over/leftovers. I can't believe how many cards we wind up buying. Cards from the kids to us, us to the kids, the kids to each other, the kids to each of the grandparents, us to each of the grandparents, aunts, cousins, lions, and tigers, and bear... OH MY!

You guys have a good day. I'm just hoping our power holds.

No school here today. I really think we could have had a late start and would have been fine, but they called it off last night. I'm running low on kids today...only 2 right now but will probabaly end up with 4 or 5 today.

I used to do that. Now I just buy the kids candy or a stuffed animal.

up at 5:30 this morning to shovel drive.
went to work at the high skool.

they closed the skool down at 10:21 today.

it is that bad here. first time in 17 years they have closed skool due to weather....

what usually takes me 3 minutes to drive the one mile from my home to skool took me 15 getting back home.

no plows out yet.

as slo said, we will get a pounding.
i have heard anywhere from 10 " to 17 this morning on the local radio here.


home from work this early and really can't go out and do any shopping.
now that's a crime......

dentist bonded my tooth instead of filling it today, whatever

Hi, still hacking away here...I swear, this coughing is gonna drive me nuts...I'm taking those mucus relieving tablets, and they help some, but its still not totally doing the trick...I don't feel bad, just don't sound so hot.

Yep, we leave Friday afternoon on the 1:45 p.m. flight south I need a break from work that is for sure, to regroup and forget about this place for a few days. I usually fret about everything here before I leave, NOPE, no sirr-ee, not this time, they can figure it all out without me and do whatever. I figure I don't get paid to worry on my own time.

Very warm here also, 60's...and been raining off and on all day. Keep the snow out west my friends

from the time i got home from skool to 30 minutes ago, it has snowed another 5.5 inches.
the boys helped me shovel that round and it's just as bad if not worse now.


and skool is still on for tomorrow so far..........

It gets pretty windy from time to time here too


We didn't get as much as they were talking...i think maybe 6 inches. I think they got it worst in MO and IA. My city is in the southeast part of the state mac--almost on the border of NE and IA.


mic--sorry you still sound bad. I have a baby here today that sounds horrible. Her mom works for the school and is off today but brought her out in the cold and kept the older ones home. The baby just went to the dr. for ear infection and her yuck cough but mom thought it was okay to take her out in the cold and snow just so she didn't have to deal with her today
