Good morning friends....ahhh, back to work, but it is FRIDAY

I tossed and turned most of the night, was sleeping good and the alarm went off, what is up with that I think too much about what time I have to get up then can't sleep...now tomorrow, I'll be awake at my same time

hmmm, lucky 13? y2k was boring too always a good thing to have a non-eventful procedure iMO! still makes my throat start to get scratchy thinking about it; u r a brave woman.

ed - rock star guitar for Xbox 360 has broken, guitar hero is more difficult than i thought it would be (shamefully, have yet to finish a song). Like the crossbow gizmo & "shooting gallery"; about my speed. Enjoying an electronic rubiks cube game though, hubby hates it - guess it's mine now.

mac - no big plans for us, how about u? made pilgrimage to state store for asti & bottle of vino, DHs paying the price for having 6 days off...gets to work 10 straight lol. Nothing exciting on horizon for us. Had offer for dinner out tonight, seems too much trouble to pull it together. Youngest DS snoozing, 2 days of greeting the dawn for BB practice, what's up with that?

been snowing here since 7 this morning..........and it is still coming down.

think we will hit 7 or so inches today.
only shoveled twice so far but it keeps coming down.

Throat still a tad sore today, but hopefully it will start to feel normal by tomorrow. KS, I too had put this off for years having anything like this done because of the very 'thought' of it, but with them knocking you out, it really isn't so bad. I don't think they used to be quite so free about putting you under for this stuff as they are now, because they want people to have these tests...

Very busy today, got most of the file moving accomplished, the biggest mess anyway...next week starts the North Carolina files which are much smaller. I'm never ahead with them, never have time to keep up with em

I hope this weekend turns into a veggie type of weekend, just chillin and doing a whole lot of nothing. I think I'm going to go turn the TV on zone in front of it for this evening...I don't feel like doing much of anything

I seemed to have passed my sickness to Noah He has been up all night. I feel so bad for him, but there is really nothing I can do...it just has to run it's course.

I did notice the boards were down...i posted something that is in cyber space because it isn't here

Haven't decided what is going on yet today...probably a whole lot of nothin' since my poor boy is sick. Tonight we are suppose to go out with some friends that are back from N.C. Last time they were back I had to stay home because one of our kids were sick...guess what??? I may be staying home tonight too

mac - must be yucky out your way, news just reported 2 hour delays @ Ohara. Only saw a dusting here that melted this month; missed the 1st big snow when on cruise (did see the mts of dirty leftover in the parking lots - such an ugly sight).

we went out to eat Italian last night, don't enjoy it often enough

wonder what ocm cooked for her company

making stir fry tonight, then the big game; not to offend our NE buddy ; just would like to see the dynasty lose. Seems as though vocal majority is rooting for an undefeated season...i feel so guilty wishing them ill.

youngest DS already counting the days till skool starts next week with long face. Not sure why, other than basketball & family obligations hasn't left the house...too many video games to explore i suppose.

Evening....decided to be pro-active today and got most of the sitting around Christmas stuff stuffed away...didn't pack it especially well either, not in the mood, just wanted it away....tree, candles in windows outside stuff still lit...may get ambitious and de-decorate the tree tomorrow, so I can enjoy my last 2 days off.

WELL, I have to share my excitement, got $49 each way to Florida in February, so off to see my Mom we shall be...it is out of Dulles which is a tad closer to us then BWI, only thing is a layover in Orlando, but ya know I can handle that, they have a Disney Store there I poured over SW schedule's between Dulles and BWI for that time frame, nothing as cheap nor were there too many direct flights.....for further flying distances, seems non-stops are getting harder to come by. Got a pretty good deal on rental car with Dollar also, they have a Lock Low & Go deal that locks a price in on an intermediate or larger car when you get to the airport. I will watch that though and see if I can save some $$ between now and then. I spent so much time looking at airfares and car rental prices today, I feel like I'm zoned out. I also have this scatterbrained idea if a good deal comes up, I'd like for dh and I to try and take a quick trip to Disney over Labor Day, just us after this year we've had, we need some relaxation. I'll be watching for deals in early Sept. If any of you see any, please let me know......I'd love to do it, but only if I can accomplish it fairly cheap. Plus this year is our 35th wedding anniversary and we honeymooned at Disney, so it would be nice to go back for this milestone

Sign up for mousesavers newsletter (lots of offsite hotel specials & disney deals) & did you price out the free dining dates? Know that you can get AAA discount on hotel portion of pkg.

excellent DINGS (?); lock & go is Dollar...did you sign up for their Express renter. Line stretched a mile last trip, weird way they have of working it anyway - 1 agent for the express folk; others were getting served quicker. Then we had to tromp over to garage & wait in another line i'm spoiled by the EA/National. Worth it though, when we returned it in TPA they hauled us to the port & picked us back up afterwards - gratis!

keisha, yup ohare cancelled flights for united starting on thursday eve.
i think the count was up to 300 flights then.
now the delays due to the snow storm we got friday.

it stopped snowing but really cold now.

No, I'm not on the Express line thing......you know, years ago it was called something else, and I know what you are saying, the express line was longer then the regular line. I've done National also, and sometimes even with the Emerald Aisle thingy, we got stuck in a line in the garage waiting...we are not going into Orlando though, so Ft. Myers is usually a little quieter at the car rental pick ups...I'm going with the best deal, but sticking to either National or Dollar, haven't used any others in years, sceerred to try. Did use Alamo once, a million years ago and swore never again

You and I both must have married at 10 yrs of age.....child brides ya know
I'll keep my eyes peeled for a free dining offer, not sure if they have those out yet for Sept....and I'm gonna check with AAA also. I have a CM friend who I might call and see what she can hook me up with also. I do know she could get my tix for me and save some $$

keisha, disney is doing things different for 08. they did a free ddp for anyone that stayed aug-sept 07 to book for the free ddp again

the dvc-ers got some kind of deal also for next year.

i didn't book my 08 trip when i was there in sept.
the package deal comes to the same or more for me.
the rooms are at rack rate with the free dining. dining plan has dropped the tip and appetizer on the deal as of 1-1-08

i think it will be easier to do drop ins for table service places next year.
so many have told me they are not doing the ddp next trip.


did anyone make a new years resolution?
gonna share with us???


on top of the list will be lose weight, and exercise i bet.

Hi all......we are back from visiting our 'other' grandchildren...we had not seen them yet, so we had fun

We are about 50/50 on the teams my 'other' picked I told him I could have picked that good and I don't even watch football.....

Yep, I would say diet bootcamp will top my NY's resolution, plus I want to get rid of junk that is in this house (I say this every year, my goal is to be more organized and clean up the junk) maybe 08 will be the year even I can't type that with a straight face

I still would love to pull off a quickie to Disney, but I will wait and watch and also think I might contact my friend at Disney, if not for the room, at least for tickets...wow, a package for a deluxe resort was around $1900 for 4 nights
