We're preparing for our first Disney cruise and I'm hearing a lot about Tervis Tumblers. Does anyone know if they are available in Canada and if so where?

If you have one, was it worth the $? Not sure what makes them special but many seem to like them. Are they speciAl or are people buying for the name?

TIA!

We love our Tervis tumblers! Love! I don't find similiar cups compare and ofcourse Tervis is PBA free.

You can find them in Canada at Bed Bath and Beyond. Just make sure you use a coupon when buying ofcourse. We probably have around 20 different designs.

While on the Fantasy in October I bought 4 different Disney Cruise Line tumblers. 3 on the ship and one that is only available on Castaway Cay.

We use them daily for hot and cold drinks. Even my 76 year old father in law when over always grabs a Tervis tumbler now when making a drink from the Keurig. He much prefers them over a coffee mug.

Are you thinking of buying them to bring on the ship with you? I actually did see many people walking around with them.

Have fun buying and picking out your favourite designs. :cool2:

I didn't realize they were good for hot and cold!

I love mine! I get the 24 ounce cups and buy the handles to go with them. I use mine for my iced lattes. I believe they have a lifetime warranty. One of mine got condensation between the layers and they replaced it. One tip...I clean mine with a soft cloth brush because my co-worker uses a bristle brush and over time it scratches the plastic and he drinks hot coffee out of his and now the coffee stains dont come out of the scratches! I have no issue with stains or scratches in mine. BTW I am frugal but i splurge on these cups!

Thanks so much!!

From your response, do joy mean that the ship will have TT on board to purchase? Sounds like a great souvenir as I enjoy cold drinks cold!

Also, any idea where I might find a Bef, Bath and Beyond coupon? The nearest one is about 25 mins away so we don't get their flyers.

Thanks for your help! Now I would like one after all your helpful responses!

I am not sure if the ships always carry the Tervis Tumblers onboard. I would hope so! I'm sure they sell lots of them. In Oct thought there were 4 available. You can ask a person who was recently on the ship to see if they know. Just post on the Disney Cruise Line boards for the answer.

Do you get the Home Outfitters flyer? BB and Beyond accepts all competitors coupons. Maybe check the BB and Beyond website to see if you can sign up for email coupons?

As for cleaning them, we have always just put them in the dishwasher and they still look new. No fading, cracking etc.

We love Tervis here too! If you sign up, BBB sends out 20% off coupons sometimes. I think I have a current one, let me know if you want me to forward it to you by email :)

I to have purchased tervis but I got wound up by the hype. I HAD TO HAVE IT!! everyone else was talking about them and THEY had them, I HAD TO!
what do I think of it? meehhhh, its okay. its a cup. way over priced. when I bought it, and I went to the u.s. to get it, you bought everything separate. cup, lid, handle, straw. others have said they got the cup and lid together. maybe I hit a bad bb&b, don't know. we had some extra on board credit last cruise so I purchased another (I consider it free) just because it had dcl written on it. it could have been a mug, I didn't care, just wanted to get that credit spent.

anyways, don't boo me but its just, imo, a really expensive cup that everyone has to have. nothing special. :confused3 they sell them on the ship and on cc as well.

We went to BBB today and purchased some for our trip. I've used mine throughout the day and must say I really like it!! I wish they were a little more spill proof for my 4yo but I just means we'll keep it in the kitchen area. Loved all the great designs and bright colours! Yes, they're pricey but I can already tell they'll be a great help on the ship and at home too. Happy with our purchase! Thanks for everyone's thoughts and suggestions! Very helpful and appreciated!

My sister works at BBB and bought me one of the big ones for my bday a few years ago and I agree it's just a cup. I worked at a coffee shop at the time so it was great to have there, or to use when drinking on my porch during the summer, but not a travel cup which I prefer. I stick to my contigo mugs for hot and cold drinks.
