Terrorists targeting schools??!!

Just read something on the Drudge Report about terrorists targeting schools for terror from Elementary schools on up to Colleges. If those sick terrorists EVER start attacking our schools they better watch out because I for one will NOT let our children be attacked!!!!!

Am I surprised? Well, a little I guess. More of a denial thing than anything. I pray nothing happens to the schools. Flame away at me, but send over the bomb. Enough is enough.

I can see colleges being targeted. Since they seem to want to harm as many people as possible all at once, it makes sense. Such a sad state of affairs.

Not in the least surprised. Targeting America's youth would be very "symbolic". I'm a teacher, and Columbine shattered any illusions I may have had about the safety of schools.

I am afraid that if this happens, then the terrorists will have underestimated their enemy. There is no one worse to deal with than a pissed off mother defending her child. Especially here in America where our women have been empowered.

They might just see how strong women can be.

Not at all surprised. This has been a fear of mine since before 9/11. DC doesn't bus most kids to school, but the military kids on our base ride contract school buses to schools all over VA, MD and DC. I've always worried that a bus load of military kids stuck in traffic would make a great target for a terrorist wanting to make a statement.

Yikes! I never thought of this-it makes so much sense-just the type of sick thing they'd do. I work at a Military school, next to an airport besides. Let's pray it's not true.
