once the kids are up we are going to go to the Library and then to the beach

and hang out and just relax all day

No big plans here.. It's suppose to be well into the 90's again today.. We are getting ready for cross country practices and several errands first thing this morning... than we are finishing up 4-H projects and the rest of the day is up in the air.. We may go to the pool this afternoon...

Just checking in before I get ready for work. Its going to be close to 100 here today but since I have to work it won't be too bad for me. LOL Tonight my DH is working a concert so I'm going to try and finish up the Resprt swap. Other then that I just have to get some more stuff priced for the yard sale this weekend and clean the guest room for my brother who will be here on Thursday.

Good morning everyone! It is supposed to be hot here, too! My mom & I are going shopping to find a mother of the groom dress for her to wear to my brother's wedding. I overslept a little this morning, but of course I had to check in here before starting to get ready!

I've heard that complaint from many a teacher around here!!! I'm not a teacher but can sub...I can't only imagine how trying that can be!

Hot hot hot in Tennessee - but that 's just summer. I have a short day today because I am going to get my hair done (my roots should not be black, they should be red, like the rest of my hair ).

I am excited because I should get my Craft Robo today. And I cleaned my home office desk off last night so tonight I can play with my new toy!!

Around here more and more schools are going year round. The year round kids starte dback last week. One of my freinds is an AG teacher at a year round and she started back yesterday. My sister starts back on Aug 24th which is late for here. Last year NC passed a law with a certain date that traditional calendar schools couldn't start before. Before that we normally went back the second week of August and got out the first week of June.

Today should be hotter than yesterday, hard to imagine. It is almost Disney World in August hot (as my kids would say...). My inlaws are going back home, we're going swimming in my parents' community pool, then we are going to my inlaws house at the beach for a few days. Then it is the weekend again. I wish the weeks didn't fly by so fast! I have swap due dates approaching! Yikes!

It's a terrific Tuesday because I finished the grant report I had been working on. It was complicated because there were 5 projects funded and I had to combine everyone's info into one final document. Yippee - it's done

It's a little bit cooler here today, cooler being a relative term in relationship to yesterday!

Tonight I start on the CJ pages - I have all sorts of ideas, just have to get them out of my head onto paper.

Hot again here today--96 for high with 105 heat index. Weds and Thurs are to hit 101 w/o heat index. DS will be in football camp on thurs and fri--thankfully in the a.m. Comes home from scout camp tomorrow.

When we were up there sunday, it was 99 w/ heat index of 115. Can't imagine what it is now. Plus, he can't go swimming as he received a knife cut in his leg that required 5 stitches and he can't get it wet or have danger of infection. GEts a tetanus shot on Friday--that will be fun!

Everyone is having fun without me. I signed up for a usmmer graduate course ( that was stupid) and I had to take the day off of work to write a paper due on Thursday. I have 2ish more pages to write and I am stuck.... guess I should just stop go get the DD from dayecare and start again when she is asleep..... (why can't husbands watch children after woo=rk but women can? LOL)

I tell my DH all the time.. I'm on call 24/7..the least he can do is take a shift once in a while! DH is out of town so he definitely owes me a shift or two!

Nancy, what I want to know is WHY I can manage to watch the kids, clean the house, cook supper, and do laundry all at the same time, but if DH is watching the kids that is ALL he can do - nothing else! I don't understand!

You guys are too funny. At work yesterday we were talking about the same thing and came to the conclusion that if you were married even without any kids you deserved an income just for managing your DH. LOL

I love the idea of managing my DH - that is SO true. God love them all!
