subtitle: musings in the middle of a sleepless night
Baby daddy and
BFF
Baby daddy first: What in the world ever happened to possessive pronouns???? Anybody?? Bueller? Bueller? "Baby daddy" is an infant father, i.e. an (impossible) oxymoron. Baby
's daddy - or, even better, given its gravity, baby's father

! Baby daddy

BFF: Another media misnomer that's worked its way into everyday life. First, while it's true some close friendships are forever, realistically, most aren't - whether it's between celebrities or between everyday, normal people like us. People change. We mature. Interests change. We grow apart. We meet new people and make new friends.
But that's not the gist of my rant. It's - and let me note that I haven't seen anything recent to bring on this musing - for example when some magazine writes about "Celebrity X and her three BFFs" or someone posts about their DD's two BFFs. Doesn't everybody realize BFF stands for Best Friend Forever - and that you can only have one "best" anything, at least at a given time?
Quick, somebody, take away the cough medicine... and throat spray... and cough drops... and Sudafed... before I sat something I'll regret.
