Terms that annoy you

I agree with pretty much everything posted here.
Baby daddy
prolly

she don't
sammies
breaky
ressie
po po instead of police
din din or sup sup (in place of dinner/supper)
pressie
preggo, preggers, we're pregnant
hubby, wifey, etc.
disrespect as in "DON'T DISRESPECT ME!"
:headache::headache::eek:

I'd also like to add "it is what it is" and "not for nothing."

Those terms annoy me, too. Another one I don't like is adding the word "already" to sentences, such as, I wish she'd stop nagging, already.

"I know, right?"

I cringe whenever my daughter and her friends say that. And one of them like uses like between like every other word and it like gets on my nerves.

Ugh, yes! Annoying.

The other one that annoys me is "like" in place of "said". "So he was like .... and then I was like .... and then she was like ... " :headache:

I thought of another one! When people call a criminam a 'gentleman' As in "I saw the gentleman go in the bar and open fire on all the patrons" Um, that's not a gentleman!

That is so true. It happens a lot. :headache:

I only use BFF online, I never call her that in real life unless we are joking around. But since I have a DBF (dear boyfriend) it feels funny to call her my BF so I call her my BFF. And yes, I can say absolute sincerity that I can see us being BFF's for life....we've been thru so much together that I just can't imagine what could tear us apart.

I've got two. "Bling Bling" makes me cringe every time I hear it.

The 2nd one is the phrase, "get my_______ on." Instead of saying "I'm going to the restaurant" it turns into getting their EAT on or getting their DRINK on...I've even heard "gettin' my money on" in reference to going to work!

Sorry folks, but I don't like to wear drinks or food,so I don't wanna get them on. I also don't care to display my money,so that will stay in my pocket instead of gettin it on like a jacket:lmao:

My mother in law says "Youins" "Are youins going to the store? aghhhhh!!!:headache:
Oh and she and my stepdaughter say Crick instead of the word creek.

Is she from Pittsburgh? I hear that all of the time here - some people refer to Pittsburgh folks as "Yinzers"!

Eastern PA folks might hear this one a lot...My-en. (Mine). As in "That last doughnut is my-en (mine)."

I HATE that!! When we first moved to PA, I thought that was SO weird! My friends said it all the time!

Also, a good friend of mine from college always referred to her hair as them!:rotfl: If I told her I liked her hair, she'd say "Thanks! I just got them cut." It just sounds wrong!

Nothing in the WORLD bothers me more than WE'RE PREGNANT!!! Good than you have the labor and the stretchmarks, too!!:lmao:

I hate it when men call there boys "buddy" or "man" over and over.

I seen and one YEARS old make me crazy, too!

Ones I DO like: :)

REALLY?
SERIOUSLY???!!!!

Those crack me UP!!!!:lmao:

when people bumb fists, and hive fives.. just dont get it must be a guy thing..

the phrase i cant stand is bro... and retarted.. just makes me sick..

"We're" pregnant or we found out "we" are pregnant.

Last time I checked men couldn't get pregnant. Unless that has changed, only one of you is pregnant, and you will have a girl; possibly a boy. He won't get pregnant, either.

Also, please don't tell me that you are "prolly" "preggers". No such words in the English language.

The term 'mousekeeping' irks me.

The phrase "Shut Up!" - a la Stacey London - really bugs me.

YAGE - can't stand that one. I hope it dies down on the DIS really, really quickly.

Ginormous.

It sounds like a painful gynecological problem to me.

"Let's catch amnesia" (for let's forget about it)
"Does that make sense?" After every statement
"Like I said" (you already said it!!!)

These have already been said but I agree 100%
