I'd also like to add "it is what it is" and "not for nothing."

Those terms annoy me, too. Another one I don't like is adding the word "already" to sentences, such as, I wish she'd stop nagging, already.

We have a great, descriptive language. Why can't more people use it?

I thought of another one! When people call a criminam a 'gentleman' As in "I saw the gentleman go in the bar and open fire on all the patrons" Um, that's not a gentleman!

I only use BFF online, I never call her that in real life unless we are joking around. But since I have a DBF (dear boyfriend) it feels funny to call her my BF so I call her my BFF. And yes, I can say absolute sincerity that I can see us being BFF's for life....we've been thru so much together that I just can't imagine what could tear us apart.

I've got two. "Bling Bling" makes me cringe every time I hear it.

The 2nd one is the phrase, "get my_______ on." Instead of saying "I'm going to the restaurant" it turns into getting their EAT on or getting their DRINK on...I've even heard "gettin' my money on" in reference to going to work!

Sorry folks,but I don't like to wear drinks or food,so I don't wanna get them on. I also don't care to display my money,so that will stay in my pocket instead of gettin it on like a jacket

Oh and she and my stepdaughter say Crick instead of the word creek.

Is she from Pittsburgh? I hear that all of the time here - some people refer to Pittsburgh folks as "Yinzers"!

Eastern PA folks might hear this one a lot...My-en. (Mine). As in "That last doughnut is my-en (mine)."

I HATE that!! When we first moved to PA, I thought that was SO weird! My friends said it all the time!

Also, a good friend of mine from college always referred to her hair as them! If I told her I liked her hair, she'd say "Thanks! I just got them cut." It just sounds wrong!

"We're" pregnant or we found out "we" are pregnant.

Last time I checked men couldn't get pregnant. Unless that has changed, only one of you is pregnant, and you will have a girl; possibly a boy. He won't get pregnant, either.

Also, please don't tell me that you are "prolly" "preggers". No such words in the English language.

"My bad" really annoys me. Bad isn't a noun.

Plus I used to work with someone who used that expression ALL THE TIME, and he was hugely annoying anyway. So that didn't help.
