What did you pay for your termite prevention plan (initial fee and yearly)? I'm wondering if our estimate was high or right on the mark.

TIA!

The company that did our inspection on the house when we bought it was about $250.00 and yearly inspection/treatment is $85.00.

Oh geez, I'm getting mad now.

When I was in FL, the initial was like $300 or so and the yearly maintenance $100-150. What we've been quoted is far, far higher than that!

It's far less expensive to go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy some Ortho-Klor (Bifenthrin) and do it yourself. All you need is a garden hose and a hose end sprayer. It only takes about 30 minutes to spray the perimeter of your house and you only need to do it once a year during March or April.

You can use Bifenthrin at very low levels for termite prevention.

Hey, Ally. I don't know what the initial was because it was transferred when we got the house, but the yearly fee is under $150.

$225 for the initial fee and $85/quarter.....
