Terminal C luggage time

I’m trying to decide if I should check a bag or just go with carry ons. I need a full size spray bottle of sunscreen, it would be nice to not have to shop for one (mineral is not always easy to find). How long are the waits for luggage in Terminal C/ JetBlue?

I have personally waited anywhere from 10 minutes to about 35 minutes for the luggage conveyor to begin

Thanks, I have not flown into Terminal C yet so had no idea what to expect.

It's slow for a reason: it's a really old design. We have the same type of carousels at my home airport, and they are also legendarily slow to load.

The carousels in Terminal C also are quite tall in the middle, so unless you're very tall, it is possible that if you tell someone to meet you at baggage claim, you may totally miss seeing them if they are standing on the opposite side of the carousel from you.
