I like to make fun of the Steelers as much as the next person, but a bit of advice, if I were a fan of the Cubs of the NFL, I think I'd prob. just sit back and watch while other people talk football.

Two slams on me in one post......Well done. :teeth: :thumbsup2

I'm gonna try to 'splain this one SLOWLY. I was talking to the person who I quoted. I was telling her that if I were a fan of a team that is considered the Cubs of the NFL, I wouldn't criticize other teams. That wasn't really two slams against you, but if you have a complex maybe you should see someone?

I knew what you meant. You slammed Steelers and Cubs in same sentence. Duh. ;) :rotfl:

More like the Cubs and the BROWNS... :p

Guess you didn't explain slow enough, Duck ;)

And I agree that the Browns are the Cubs of the NFL :rotfl:

And I agree that the Browns are the Cubs of the NFL :rotfl:

How do you figure that since the Browns have won eight championships since the Cubs last won the World Series?

In the amount of time it's taken since the Cubs last won a World Series, EVERY team that's been around since then has won a couple of championships.

Well, almost...

How do you figure that since the Browns have won eight championships since the Cubs last won the World Series?
The Cubs prob. won a lot of things too before they started World Series. Once they started that whole thing, not so much. I haven't checked lately...how many Superbowls have the Browns won/been in?

Surprisingly, no. The first World Series, of course, happened the year the AL was formed and I don't know the date offhand, but the Cubs hadn't been in existence for very long before the AL was formed.

EDIT: I just looked it up. The American League became official in 1903. The Cubs still weren't even called the Cubs back then.

If anyone cares, their original name was the White Stockings and they did, indeed, win 6 of the first 11 championships as the White Stockings in the 1800s.

And how many other teams have not won/been in a Superbowl?

Are you saying all of those teams are also the Cubs of the NFL? :teeth:

And how many professional baseball franchises have never won a World Series?;)

popcorn:: anyone want some popcorn?

I feel like I got a front row seat to the Duck-Brat ;) -Joey show.  :rotfl: :rotfl:

MLB Teams to never win the World Series:

Padres, Astros, Brewers, Mariners, Rangers, Expos/Nationals, Rockies, Devil Rays

NFL Teams to never win the Super Bowl:

Cardinals, Lions, Eagles, Oilers/Titans, Browns, Bills, Chargers, Vikings, Falcons, Saints, Bengals, Seahawks, Panthers, Jaguars, Texans

Quite an extensive list in both categories.

And how many other teams have not won/been in a Superbowl?

Of the cities that had NFL teams the year of the first Superbowl, only Detroit, and Cleveland haven't even at least lost one. You can take your pick as to which team you want to call the Cubs, and which team you want to call the Indians of the NFL.

Good Night Riddlers......I found another clever riddle for tomorrow. a different kind though!

that's right....a double dose of Donna as the riddle goddess.

try to sleep tonight and not let the excitement of it all get to you. :teeth: ;) :rotfl: :rotfl:
