Thanks Beth - I have always wondered about that. I guess I always thought the more water, the better :confused3 Today I have had alittle less water, probably more like 120 ounces. I just need to pace myself. Thanks again for the information.




Did well the rest of the evening. I had the rest of my 0 point soup and some toast for dinner, a WW ice cream for dessert and a tootie pop earlier for a treat. Definitely don't have the "sweet" tooth like I do those few days before starting, which is good. Tomorrow will be a busy day, so chance of going off program. It's our last Del Taco Night, so I'll save those points for dinner. Off to bed I go..... :cloud9:
 
Well today has been a busy day :earseek: Took Jessica to school this morning and then headed to the gym. Since TOM arrived yesterday, I wasn't 100% :crazy: I did some some sit-ups and worked out arms & legs for a few minutes and then I had to move on. I did the stairmaster for 20 minutes and then 60 minutes on the treadmill. It was really hard to focus :confused3

I came home, got in a shower and a snack before my dentist appt. Had my teeth cleaned and then headed to the school to help out in Katie's class and in the library. After I finally got home, was only there for a couple of hours and then headed off to our monthly Del Taco Night fundraiser. I did save up enough points to have 2 chicken soft tacos and a small fries :rolleyes: Left there and headed to the school for Katie's program her class was putting on. It's now 9:00pm and I'm heading to my friends at 10:30 to watch her kids while her DH takes her to the airport for work. It's going to be a late night :cloud9:

Besides the Del Taco meal, food was good today: Slimfast for breakfast, yogart w/ WW cereal for snack, string cheese & Vitamuffin for lunch and WW bar for dessert.

I still feel emotional like crap and just can't wait for it to pass. The weather cooled off today, but will warm back up for this weekend. I would like to start walking outside, for a change of scenery :sunny:
 
I forgot to post my measurements from about a week or two ago:


Chest 34 (down .5")
Waist 30.5 (same)
Hips 40 (down .5")
Outer thigh 43 (same)
thigh 24.5 (same)
calf 14" (same)
arm 12 (same)

Down 1 inch for the month with a total of 33.5" gone!!! I definitely have seen a slowdown with some of these measurements and hope I will see a bigger difference by next month. I really want to get the hips and outer thigh under 40.


I did 5 miles on the treadmill today. The weather is BLAH and that is how I feel today :earseek: I did some weights, but not many. Hopefully tomorrow I can get back into it.

I had my slimfast this morning and just finished a yogart w/ WW cereal for snack. I didn't get to bed till after midnight last night and then up at 6:00am, so I'm off to take a little nap. I need to clean my house, but that will just have to wait.

The scale did say 156.5 this morning, so looks like my TOM water is finally coming off. Shooting for 154 for Tuesday.

You are amazing! Congrats on losing all those inches. Also congrats on doing five miles on a day that you feel blah. Thank you for the inspiration.

Hi Tera,

Those measurements are awsome :cheer2: The inches definitely start slowing down as you get near goal, but you'll keep feeling firmer and smoother even if the tape measure doesn't show it right away. Keep up the good work, you are sooooooo close now!!!!!

Thanks Beth - The sun is out today, so I'm definitely feeling better. I actually took a 2 1/2 hour nap yesterday and still went to bed at 9:30 last night. Must have been tired :rolleyes:

Thanks Sunny - I'm just trying to keep up with you ;) I still have a lot of toning to do and I know it'll take some time, but you know how it is, we want it NOW!!! :teeth: I'll just keep plugging away.....


Well I did another 5 miles on the treadmill again. 4.25 miles in an hour and then 15 miles to cool down. I'm getting better, but definitely need some better "running" music. I really should start running/walking outside now that the weather is warming up. Spent the afternoon cleaning house (inlaws are coming into town tonight) and got some flowers planted.

Food today has been good: Slimfast for breakfast, vitamuffin for snack, Lean Cuisine meal for lunch and about 64 ounces of water so far. I'm tryng to cut back on the water some since I think I was actually getting too much, if that's possible :rolleyes: Tonight is Happy Hour at the neighbors, but I'm not sure if I want to go since they are ordering pizza. I could eat before going, but it's too much of a temptation for me. The scale showed 155 today, so I know I'm finally getting rid of all that extra water I've been retaining. How great it would be if I could be at 153 on Tuesday and celebrate my 55 pounds :cheer2:

Oh... Nick got me a new laptop :banana: :banana: It's a Dell with a 15 inch screen :teeth: He is in the process of updating everything, so hopefully by tomorrow, I should be on it :goodvibes
 
I wanted to do a quick update before heading to bed. I did go to Happy Hour and I think I did pretty good. I only drank 2 beer coolers (beer & diet sprite) and then drank water the rest of the evening. They ordered chicken wings, so I ate about 5 or 6 barbecue and then veggies. Everyone else had pizza, but I was good and filled up on the veggies. I did have one small brownie for dessert and that was it. I think since I didn't do the pizza and also stayed away from the alcohol, I should be okay.

It was so hard to pass on the pizza and wonder when I do get to goal, if I can add that back into my diet once in awhile. :confused3 I'll definitely have to be careful at first.....
 
Feeling pretty crappy today... I'm sure it has nothing to do with this crappy weather :rolleyes: It has been so hard staying OP these last few weeks. First vacation, which is understandable and now with Memorial Day holiday weekend coming. My in-laws are in town, so they took the girls for the day yesterday :banana: Nick and I decide we'll go out for lunch and I think I did pretty good. I had a half of a turkey & swiss on wheat w/o mayo. I also had a side salad (didn't eat much of that) and one beer. Not bad I thought :rolleyes: Did some laundry yesterday and still trying to clean house for company on Monday. Since the girls were still gone, DH wanted to go out for dinner. I was actually hoping to stay home and have a WW meal :blush: We went to this place called Fox & The Hound that is close to our house. I had 1 1/2 beers (could have done without that second one) I ordered their quesilldias (sp?) and a appetizer size thin crust pizza. Now I thought the pizza would be small, but NOooooo, it was huge. I ate the whole quesilldia (??) and about 3 slices :earseek: :earseek: GAWD, talk about blowing it. It's amazing how easy it is to go back to old eating habits if you let your guard down.

The scale this morning was 157.5, so even if I'm good today and tomorrow, I'm not going to see that 153. I was actually thinking I might wait and weigh :earseek: in on Wednesday, but it will depend. Today we're taking the kids out and I just can't afford to eat bad again today. Tomorrow I'm not planning on drinking and I have plenty of things that are good for me to enjoy.

I never thought the closer to my goal I got, the harder it would be. :crazy: Sorry for the rant, just wanted to get that off my chest
 
ACK!! I forgot to update my journal:

Sunday we took the in-laws out and I had a veggie burger for lunch and then went to mexican for dinner and I ordered shrimp fajitas. We had our barbecue yesterday and I was VERY good... no drinking, lots of veggies, fruit & shrimp and plenty of water.

I weighed in today and lost 1.4 pounds, which I was THRILLED about considering the eating the past few days.

Only 1.6 more to go and I'll be celebrating my 55 pounds... FINALLY! Next goal is my 3rd 10%, which is around 151 and then HELLO 140'S :goodvibes

Tonight we went to the baseball game for DH's work. Tickets AND food were free. I had 2 beers (you hafta have beer at a game) and a hotdog :earseek: They were celebrating a birthday, so I had a small piece of cake too :earseek: :earseek: I'm not going to worry about it since today was weigh in and I have a whole week to be good :rolleyes:
 
Well I'm getting bad about writing in my journal every day, so it must be summer :rolleyes:

Yesterday was a busy day, so good day to stay OP. I got up early and went to the gym, doing 40 minutes on the ellptical and 20 minutes on the treadmill. I rushed home to get changed and then Jessica and I headed up to the school to help out with Games Day (it's like Field Day). We were up there from 9:00am to 3:00pm, so I was tired.

Food was good and water intake was about 120 ounces. I was so tired I was in bed by 9:30.


Today I got up and went to the gym after Katie left for school. I did about 20 minutes of weights and then about 75 minutes on the treadmill. I've been trying to increase my running and I did 3.25 miles in 40 minutes, which is good for me. Did 5 miles total...

Went to the mall and bought two new pairs of shorts, size 10 :banana: :banana: Also got some new running shoes.

I had a dentist appointment after and needless to say, haven't been in the mood for eating.

The scale this morning said 155.5, so I'm thinking I'm still retaining from my baseball food Tuesday evening. Tomorrow the scale should be down. I've still got my eye on that 153 so I can claim my new clippie... it's been awhile :teeth:
 
I'm still bad at writing in my journal every day. I need to be more diligent about it.

Scale this morning was 155. I'm having a hard time getting rid of this water weight. I'm still hoping by tomorrow I can be down to 153. I might have to wear less clothes ;)

I got up about 6:45, but didn't get out of the house for the gym till almost 8:00. I did 20 minutes on weights, still targeting my legs and 75 minutes on the treadmill. I did about 4.25 miles in 60 minutes and then another .75 in 15 minutes, cooling down. My running is getting better, but I need to find better music.

For breakfast I had a glass of skim milk and a vitamuffin. I had a turkey sandwich for lunch. We went to see Star Wars and all I had was a tootie pop and water (yeah me :cheer2: ) I had another vitamuffin for snack when we got home. I'll probably make egg whites & toast for dinner. I've had 96 ounces of water so far and should get another 32 ounces in before bed.

I have noticed how fat my legs still are. I thought losing another 19 pounds would be good, but now I'm wondering if I might need to lose more. I know I still need to work on toning and wonder if I need to stick with weights or will the running help too. There is so much sagging going on... my poor body. :earseek:

I am pretty happy that I was able to buy size 10 shorts and think I will go back and buy some size 8's while they are still on sale. It'll give me incentive to lose weight before our road trip in July. :teeth:

You are doing great :) I still get upset about my fat legs, too. I've just about lost my b**bs, but still have fat legs!!!!! :rolleyes:

I would up your leg weights routine in addition to the running to firm up. You'll continue to firm even when you're not losing. Don't lose hope! :sunny:

Hi Sunny!!! I know they say your weight comes off from top to bottom, but stop taking it from my b**bs. I can't afford to lose anymore :earseek: I did go to Victoria Secrets and was measured. When I started this, I was wearing 38D's and now I'm at a 36C (I'm actually a 35, between a B & C) I don't mind losing some, knowing my butt will "eventually" be smaller :rolleyes:

I have increased my legs weights, but will add another 5 pounds tomorrow. My running is getting better, doing 4.50 miles in 60 minutes today (I only ran about 30 minutes worth). I'm getting there....


Well today's WI wasn't great, only losing .4 pounds today :guilty: I'm at 53.8, so only 1.2 pounds from my 55 pound clippie. I was a little disappointed, but I'm slowly getting over it. This just makes me want to work harder to get to my goal. I'm actually considering switching to the Core program with WW. A friend who did Flex for over a year switched when her weight loss was starting to slow down. She's lost about 10 pounds in 5 weeks with Core. I'm afraid of change, so I might wait until I get closer to goal, if not after I've reached goal. We'll see....
 
Well I'm feeling better this morning. Scale said 153.5, so I know I'm on my way... as long as I don't blow it over the weekend.

Got up and went to the gym. Did about 20 minutes of weights, working mostly my legs. I did increase all my leg exercises by 5 pounds, so we'll see how I feel tomorrow. I did 70 minutes on the treadmill, running/walking 5 miles. I did increase my running by 5 minutes, but have a long way to go.

Spent the rest of the day cleaning around the house and working in the yard.

Food today has been good and water intake the usual. Tomorrow I'm expecting to see 153 on the scale. Now just to see 152 :teeth:

Tomorrow I will workout as usual and then Foley's is having a sale, so I think I will buy some size 8 shorts to help modivate me to the next step.
 
Well the scale was nice this morning to me and I saw 152.5 :cool1: I was very surprised and very happy. It definitely had me in a good mood all day.

Went to the gym and did some sit-ups (I've been trying to do those every day), 20 minutes on the stairmaster and 60 minutes on treadmill. I did run as long as before, and was only able to get 4 miles in. I could tell my legs were tired and might try something else tomorrow.

After a shower and snack, Katie and I went to the mall. I bought two pairs of size 8 shorts that are a little tight, but should be able to wear by our trip July 17th. I notice the Liz Clairborne pants/shorts run big, but who cares, it still says 8 on the tag :goodvibes I got another pair of size 10 shorts that will be great for our camping trip next week and one top that was on clearance and it was a size small/petite. Gotta love that stretch material ;) Katie even got a couple of shirts that were clearanced.

We walked over to the food court and I got a small salad and then her and I split a tuna sandwich. I even had half of the cookie and no regrets (maybe just a little.... :rolleyes: )

Food today has been good, even with lunch and water intake the usual. Dinner tonight will be something light and will have more water to help flush out that cookie :teeth: How great it would be to see 152 tomorrow. If I stay OP all weekend, I could possibly see 151 by Tuesday... THAT would be awesome and totally make my week :banana:
 
Scale this morning still said 152.5, which is okay. I guess I was really hoping to see 151, but not yet. No happy hour for us tonight, so should be no problem to be down .5 by tomorrow, if I keep my water going.

Food has been good today, vitamuffin & yogart this morning and egg whites & vitamuffin when I got home. I had the egg whites & muffin again for lunch. The weather is cold and raining, so we're just hanging out at home today. I actually got a nap in today :banana: I weighed myself when I got up from my nap (I know I know, I'm totally obsessed with the darn thing) and it was actually DOWN .5 to 152. I need to get a life...... :rolleyes:


I was thinking about starting a new journal since this one is getting really long. Maybe I'll wait until I get to my WW goal and start a fresh new one after :teeth:
 
Not much going on right now. We're going camping next weekend and Nick got our trailer out of storage so we could get ready. I spent the whole day washing rugs, towels and bedding.

Yesterday the scale said 151.5, so I was totally excited. Those 140's are so close and I'm only about 6 pounds from my WW goal. I was OP all day and then Nick decided to order some pizza. Normally I wouldn't have had a bite, but I figured I had the points and hadn't had pizza in months. I had 2 slices even though it would cost me about 14 points :earseek:

The scale this morning said 152, so I know it was from the pizza (Blast that pizza!!!! :earseek: ) So... today I've been good, eating lots of fruit and staying within my points. I've also been drinking my water hoping to flush out this sodium. Hoping to see 151.5 again tomorrow and shooting for 151 Tuesday.

I think being this close now will make me work extra hard to get to my goal. There IS a light at the end of that tunnel.......

Thank you Stephanie! I really think the support I received from this board is the reason I have succeeded so much. Great job on losing the 20 pounds. Next thing you know, you'll be posting that 50 pound clippie :teeth:

Well my WI today was really great. I have lost 3.8 pound for a total of 57.6 pounds. I claimed my 55 pound clippie and only 2.4 pounds away from my 60 pound clippie.

Only bad thing today is I didn't get to the gym this morning or after WI. We are going camping on Thursday and I have so much to do before. I'm going to try and get out in the yard today, pulling weeds, so it's not like I won't have "any" exercise.

Today is a GOOD day!!! :sunny:
