Teresa Heinz Kerry

C'mom -- I know you guys have better reasons to dislike Kerry :confused3 .

Focusing on this just makes it look like you don't.....

Oh come on, there are many reasons not to like her, this is just the latest. It's just another good example of her character.

Excuse me while I snicker at all of the sour grapes type of rhetoric on here. You know you conservatives are running scared now! Wasn't the convention great so far? Didn't it inspire you with hope for our nation? I don't even feel the need to respond to the "Bushie" fanatics anymore. I'm just that confident.:sunny:

Sour grapes? How's that? Did I fall asleep and miss the election and Kerry won?

I watched some of it and it was the same old same old.

The basic message was "Bush sucks". Bad economy, no jobs, no healthcare, bad war in Iraq, not winning the war on terrorism....

yada yada yada.

Maybe if some of *you* liberals would pay attention more, you'd see that some of the things that *you* liberals are trying to scare the country into believing aren't true at all.

And no, the likes of Kerry being President doesn't inspire me one bit. Actually, I'm afraid of what that man will do if he becomes CIC.

For goodness sakes -- you'd rather have a first lady that "behaved" than a president that lead the country in the direction you prefer????

If Laura Bush did something improper (and I know this is an absurd analogy, but bear with me) would you discredit everything about Bush? Of course not. Because this isn't about Teresa -- it's about finding way to tear down the democratic campaign.

I wish some people would open their eyes and care more about whats good for the country, than always worry about being right!

does that ever hit the nail on the head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John Kerry has been in the Senate for 19 years.

Kerry has been the lead sponsor of eight bills that have become law. Two are related to his work on the Senate panel on oceans and fisheries - a 1994 law to protect marine mammals from being taken during commercial fishing and a 1991 measure for the National Sea Grant College Program Act, which finances marine research.
In 1999, President Clinton signed his bill providing grants to support small businesses owned by women.
The rest of the laws he saw passed were ceremonial - renaming a federal building, designating Vietnam Veterans Memorial 10th Anniversary Day, National POW/MIA Recognition Day and World Population Awareness Week in two separate years.

No, not true again. This thread IS about Teresa and I don't like her. Never have. I live here in MA and have known her for many years. I base my opinion of her on that experience. Period.

You know, I am not that black and white. I think what Dick Cheney said was wrong.

I liked former President Clinton's speech the other night.

I think Edward's has great kids and he seems like a nice guy.

I do like Leberman. He's a great guy.

I can't stand Gore but I like his wife.

I can admit when a Republican does something I think is wrong and I can admit when I think a Democrat does something I think is right or good.

It's not that black and white for me.

I stand corrected - I guess you don't have to like her if you don't want to!:D

I don't know, I didn't realize that Elwood Blues was considered a Bushie fanatic. If you want to label him as such thats your choice.

Huh? It believe it was you that called me a Bushie fanatic. Not beattyfamily.

Politics aside, I think that both Teresa Heinz Kerry and her husband both come across as very unlikeable people. I can't stand the Clinton's politics, but even I can admit that they have charisma, something that the Kerry's most definitely lack.

I agree with this too.

George and Laura Bush have charisma? Please-she's an
anal librarian(her daughter's words) and he's a dry drunk
nervously looking over his shoulder for whatever's making
him paranoid that day(my words) but many of us recognize
the dry drunk personality. Neither has any charisma. Teresa
Heinz Kerry is an internationally savvy, successful businesswoman who until 13 years ago was raising children
with her husband. The Kerry's are curious and wordly, the
Bush's run home to Crawford to hide every opportunity.
I see loads of charisma in Kerrys, they care about people
and live a full life.

Who said George and Laura had charisma?

We were comparing Kerry-Heinz to the Clinton's!

Yes, George Bush has a lot of charisma. His attitude is one of my favorite things about him. I know a lot of girls at my college that have little girl crushes on him.

Teresa may sound like a great liberal leader now, but that is because she is a master of the flip-flop like her husband. She was a Republican until after she married John. She even married a Republican Senator before she married a Democrat. She's bashed Ted Kennedy and the Democratic party in the past. Let's be honest, it was only marrying Kerry that made her a Democrat.

It is called maturing and evolving. Heaven help us if everyone clung to the same opinions they had when they were in their twenties. Life does actually teach some lessons. Some of those lessons make one see a broader picture. To fault someone for thinking and changing their opinion is just plain silly.

You might want to read up on why she switched parties. The spoon fed meida "flip flop" answer simply does not apply. You might actually come to realize that she was taking a stand.

Thanks, FIK. I think younger people sometimes have a really hard time believing that as you mature, your views on life and the world around you can mature and change as well. What's really funny is that at his age, Joe and I would've agreed 100%--except in the implication that a woman would only hold political views in line with her husband's. I would've resented that then, and resent it now.

I can't believe that people are upset that she told a reporter to "shove it". Seriously, it's not like she told him to **** off or something. Heck, I even thought it was funny when Cheney did that and I don't even like the guy.

AAAHHHHH Yes....Charisma.....Charisma and Cohiba. Anyone else feel a little uneasy when my wonderful Hillary was introducing me as this wonderful wonderful human being? I guess she has matured since I left office. Either that or she was lying through her teeth. But that couldn't be simply because everything said at the DNC must be true no?
